The Switches of Eastview Kathryn Hahn (Glass Onion) realizes she's Agatha All Along after breaking the TV show spell put on her by Wanda Maximoff in a 2024 Disney+ miniseries. But can this prickly loner forge a coven with Broadway legend Patti LuPone and deadly Aubrey Plaza (White Lotus) that has the power to access a mythic, wish-granting Witches' Road? Or did her dream to reconnect with her dead child come true the minute a nameless, hexed teenager (Joe Locke) joined her quest? Listen Now to hear if Justin, Stuart, and Arnie sing the praises of this WandaVision sequel.
Vibraphonist / composer Bobby Hutcherson (born January 27, 1941), was inspired to take up the vibraphone at the age of twelve after hearing Milt Jackson, and became the inspiration for younger musicians like Joe Locke, Stefon Harris, and Steve Nelson. He recorded for Blue Note records from 1963 to 1977, longer than anyone else was associated with that label with the exception of Horace Silver.

Cheers, queers! Get ready to gay it up all over the place as we dive into Agatha All Along. This episode is packed with everything we love—witchy drama, mind-blowing character arcs, and a sapphic romance that's equal parts passionate and tragic. Agatha and Rio's complex relationship takes center stage, and yes, it's unapologetically queer. Love a messy, dramatic ex-wife storyline? We've got you covered. We're breaking down scene-by-scene brilliance, from behind-the-scenes insights to the jaw-dropping performances by Kathryn Hahn, Aubrey Plaza, and Joe Locke. The representation in this show is everything—queer women, older female leads, and a storyline that doesn't shy away from messy, real, and beautiful emotions. Plus, who else is obsessed with that Broadway-ready Ballad of the Witches' Road? This is more than your typical Marvel series—it's a celebration of LGBTQ+ media infused with humor, depth, and enough camp to keep you hooked. “Representation matters,” and this show proves it by giving us characters who feel authentic, flawed, and unforgettable (hello, Billy's coming-out metaphor!). Whether you're here for the drama, the magic, or the queer joy, there's something for everyone. If you want to support us and gain access to bonus content become a Patreon: BGE PatreonWanna talk queer media with us and our friends? This week, Tommy is joined Alice Oseman and Patrick Walters, the creative forces behind the smash-hit Netflix series, Heartstopper. Alice is an award-winning author, illustrator and screenwriter who created the LGBTQ+ romance webcomic, Heartstopper, which is also published as a graphic novel and has been adapted into the television series by the same name. They say we are the sum of our experiences, and as many musicians know, whatever life throws at us, we can take and turn into art. No one knows this better than my guest on the podcast this week, Ray LeVier. Ray is a drummer, composer, producer, author, and motivational speaker who has played and recorded with John Abercrombie, Dave Binney, KJ Denhert, Joe Locke, Francois Moutin, Wayne Krantz, Mike Stern, and Rich Tozzoli. At the age of 12, Ray suffered severe burns all over his body which left him unable to play the drums in a more ‘traditional' way. As a result, Ray has come up with his own innovative methods to play the drums. Ray's story is one of hope and resilience and he shares all of it with us in this episode. Listen in as we discuss Ray's breathing techniques, how to achieve a flow state and optimal performance, how drummers with physical limitations can overcome the challenge and play effectively, why mindfulness is key to creating beautiful art, and more.
