About "Sealed with a List" This movie premiered on Saturday, December 16th as part of the Countdown to Christmas closing weekend. “Sealed with a List” was filmed in and around New Westminster, BC. Some scenes were also filmed in Langley at Martini Town, a set owned by Martini Film Studios. Emily Ting and Melynda Bissmeyer, along with Robin Gadsby are the writers on this film. Emily and Melynda had previously worked together on “Christmas at the Golden Dragon” in 2022 and Robin wrote “A Christmas Cookie Catastrophe” and “Christmas Sail” - which is a super under rated fave of ours from 2021. Katie Findlay plays Carley. Katie has 30 previous acting credits including “Love Strikes Twice” in 2021 for Hallmark. We spoke with Katie Findlay, who currently stars on The CW's Walker Independence. Fans were disappointed when the network decided not to renew the show for a second season. So, while the show remains in limbo with hopes of finding a home somewhere else, we spoke with Katie about her history in the industry, why she loved working on the show so much, and what her hopes are moving forward. Katie was one of the nicest people I have ever spoken to and I felt so comfortable speaking with her that we could have a deep and honest conversation that was extremely refreshing. So I hope the show finds a home, but if not I am sure we will be seeing Katie on another great project soon. = Host: Monica Gleberman Editor: Shamindri De Sayrah Social Media Graphic: Jojo -- Synopsis: Set in the late 1800s, an origin story of "Walker," "Walker Independence" follows Abby Walker, an affluent and tough-minded Bostonian whose husband is murdered before her eyes while on their journey out West. Abby arrives in Independence, Texas, where she encounters diverse and eclectic residents running from their pasts, chasing their dreams, and keeping their secrets. Abby runs into Hoyt Rawlins, a slippery rogue, thief, and con artist with a dented heart of gold who quickly eyes Abby as a mark until she turns the tables on him. In seeking justice for her husband, Abby and Hoyt soon find themselves precariously aligned, both seeking to uncover the truth about the identity of Abby's husband's killer, and vow to save Independence -- a frontier boomtown where nothing is what it seems. *All episodes of Walker Independence are available to stream for free on The CW app. Don't forget to follow us on Twitter @SilenceonSet and Instagram @SilenceonSetPod

It is a pleasure to welcome actor and dancer Lawrence Kao to The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast. Born in Hacienda Heights, California, his parents groomed Lawrence to become a pediatrician. However, when his mother forced him to play musical instruments as a kid, his path toward a future in the arts began. He received a bachelor's degree in Theater at the University of California at Irvine. While at the university, he expanded his passion for dance and joined the Kaba Modern dance group. Lawrence and the group found themselves in the national spotlight when they auditioned for the inaugural season of MTV's American Best Dance Crew. Week after week, the group's impeccable choreography impressed judges JC Chasez, Lil Mama, and Shane Sparks, and the audience and Kaba Modern took home third place. After graduating from the University of California at Irvine, Lawrence worked at award-winning theater companies such as the Guthrie Theater, East West Players, South Coast Repertory, and San Diego Repertory. In addition to joining the dance group Kinjaz, Lawrence continued to land roles on several popular television shows such as Hawaii 5-0, Law & Order: SUV, NCIS: Los Angeles & New Orleans, The Originals, and The Walking Dead. Recently, Lawrence Kao was a series regular on Netflix's Wu Assassins, where he portrayed Tommy Wan. He reprised the role in the 2022 original film Fistful of Vengeance. He joined the cast of the CW's latest Walker spin-off: Walker Independence, as Kai. Kai is a newcomer to the town of Independence, looking to restart his life. Actors Katherine McNamara, Katie Findlay, Matt Barr, and Justin Johnson Cortez also star in the show. In this edition of The Jake's Take with Jacob Elyachar Podcast, Lawrence Kao spoke about portraying Tommy Wah in Netflix's Wu Assassins and Fistful of Vengeance, plus teased Walker: Independence fans about Kai's journey during the first season.

Stevil and Rob Lobster welcome you to another episode of Booked! We start off in the realm of TV, where we give some love to our co-host Katie Findlay on the massively successful debut of her new show How To Get Away With Murder. Then we move into some of the comic related debuts of the week. Is Gotham a little too heavy handed on the references? Do we wish it was just a straight forward Gotham Central adaptation? Our hosts also ask listeners to give it a little faith past the pilot, because when has a show ever been decided by it's pilot? Also on the TNT network, a Teen Titans series has gotten the green light with Nightwing being the rumored leader. What can we expect from this? Stevil is really hoping for Cassie Sandmark. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. also started their sophomore season, starting with a quick peek at Agent Carter. What can we expect from this prequel series? We will watch it all day if it has Dum Dum Duggan! And at the same time, can Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. continue the momentum it gained in the last part of it's first season? Bring on Mockingbird! With so much to talk about in the TV world, Stevil and Rob get into the hype on the Tick revival at Amazon, the new Supergirl series, and whether or not Ollie Queen is a smart enough adversary for Ra's Al Ghul. We also talk the sad news of the Y the Last Man movie being dead in the water. Will we ever see Yorrick's story on the big screen? Is it better suited as a TV series? Delving into some really comic talk, our hosts talk DC's big event Future's End. What were the high points? What are the lasting ramifications of this? Addressing the rumors that all the worlds will collide, Rob has worries that the proper respect may or may not be given to fan revered timelines. Words of wisdom are also given to the Batgirl creative team: Let's move on with less James Gordon Jr. for a bit. Finally, a loving review of a book Stevil brought to the last cast as his recommendation. Rob has finally picked up his copy of Bryan Lee O'Malley's Seconds and blew through it in four hours. This means the guys can discuss it at length, as it definitely hits home for both of them. For Rob, it bring the looming reality of his thirtieth birthday that much closer and Stevil, well, dealing with exes usually sucks, we can all relate to that, right? So join us for some deeply nerdy comic talk and let us know what you think in the comics below. Did you pick up Seconds? Or hate Gotham? What should be done with Y the Last Man? Think about it and keep reading those panels people!
Katie Findlay ("The Killing," "The Carrie Diaries") chats with Cole and Vanessa about Premature, the death of Archie, Betheny Frankel, sloths on boats, band names, Boyhood, Island of the Blue Dolphins, long working hours, Catwoman, spoilers, "cat fantasy," ballet terms, spoiling takes, Etsy stores, super powers and guarding the secret of Rosie Larsen's killer. Leave your answer to the firsts question (the first Young Adult novel you can remember being into) on our website for a chance to win some promotional Premature condoms (you heard us right…condoms) signed by Katie!
This week Jstebz and The Stevil Dead are joined by Booked co-host and Katie Findlay and her bestie, Kacey Rohl, of Working the Engles and Hannibal.
