In this stirring anniversary message, Dr. Lance Watson challenges us to stand firm when our faith feels faint. Preaching from 2 Kings 6 and the story of King Jehoram, he confronts the tension between waiting and wanting—between desperation and divine timing. With timeless clarity, Dr. Watson reminds us that it's always too soon to give up on God.This message delivers three anchors for the weary soul:Hope for tomorrow, even in today's darknessGod's unseen, unimaginable ways at workTrust in a God who always shows up on timeIf you've ever wondered whether your waiting is wasted, this word is for you. Listen in—and be reminded that your delay is not your denial.

Welcome to the second episode of Marketing in 5 Acts. Today I interview Coach Lance Watson of LifeSport Coaching. Coach Lance is an Olympic Gold Medal and World Championship winning coach. Hear how he got started, how his career developed and how those experiences are integral to his LifeSport Coaching business.
In this episode the TriDoc answers a question about a specific nutrition strategy for training. We all work hard to go fast but should we consider the fast to go...faster? What is the science behind not eating and performance? Triathlon Canada Hall of Fame coach Lance Watson is by to talk about coaching athletes of all levels and abilities as they manage chronic lifelong illness or short term injuries. Finally, Janetta Iwanicki joins me for top secret Reels for Wheels straight out of MI-6.
In this episode of the Pursuit of the Perfect Race, I talk with my new friend Brent McMahon. Brent has been in the sport for more than 22 years. I have talked with a great amount of people on the podcast so far but none have had the experience that Brent has under his belt. There are only a handful of athletes in the world that can say they have been to the Olympics and received a medal and also competed in the IRONMAN© World Championship on the big island. Brent has been working with his coach Lance Watson for his athletic career. According to Lance’s website, [Lance] is “one of the most successful coaching track records in age group triathlon, internationally.” The race that we discuss is obvious but the challenges he faces and overcomes along the way are tremendous. Many athletes face hard and sometimes gut wrenching choices along their racing journey and this is no different for Brent. While we talk and discuss his race, I cannot help but to see his overwhelming gratitude for the ability to participate in the sport and how he enjoys the process of self-discovery along the way. Thank you so much Brent for spending time with me and I truly am honored to have you on my show. I look forward to having you back on my show again in the future and following you along your career. “Courtesy of Specialized Bicycles / © BrakeThrough Media” Speaking with pro athletes always provides a plethora of wisdom. We get an inside look at what makes those who are successful… Successful. And this is the case with Brent McMahon. Brent McMahon is one bad ass triathlete whom is also an Olympian, World Cup Champion, Xterra Champion, IRONMAN 70.3 and IRONMAN Champion. If you don’t know… Brent debuted his first Ironman and clocked the 15th fastest time of all time and fastest IM rookie ever with a 7:55 course record at Ironman Arizona - to show sub 8 was no fluke he went 7:56 in IM Brazil earlier this year and recently did his first IM World Champs and came in 9th. This episode is full of wisdom all of us athletes can use. In Today’s Episode We Cover: The Kona Lessons, the experience Benchmarking Two things successful athletes have The tools in the tool belt for when it gets tough The one thing (other than riding the best bikes) that Pete and Brent share. Why working for 20 years with Lance Watson has worked. Very important advice for AG athletes. IST?! And what it is The BIG mistake that Brent has learned from. At age 34 Canadian Brent McMahon attempted his first Ironman in Arizona. Previously, he was a 2004 and 2012 Olympian, and 2014 was going well with four Ironman 70.3 wins. On the starting line he didn't have a time goal, nor had he even pondered a finishing time before this race. He followed a race plan crafted with Lance Watson, his coach of 20 years. That included a caloric intake of roughly 500 calories per hour on the bike while ignoring his competitors. When a couple contenders passed him early in the bike he started to ride with them but backed off when he realized it required a greater power output than he planned to ride. He finished the bike in third after a 4:21 split. He ran the first half of the marathon in 1:20 and finished with a 2:43 run, giving him a 5 minute margin of victory and a 7:55 final time, the fastest Ironman debut in history. Despite competing at a level far above most triathletes, his race execution tips are golden and helpful to all triathletes. Links Brent's Twitter account @tribrentmcmahon
