On this episode of the Fieldhouse Files podcast, the Pacers went 3-1 on their homestand with wins over Philadelphia and Phoenix. The team is battling the injury bug and Tyrese Haliburton is expected to return Tuesday at Boston. And to preview that matchup, I'm joined by Drew Carter, the Celtics' new TV voice on NBC Sports Boston. Plus, Oscar Tshiebwe discusses his rookie season and being added to the G League Up Next Game. Among the items discussed on this episode: Haliburton plans to play in Boston on national TV. His hamstring injury and why he must play in 32 of the final 35 games in order to qualify for All-NBA and being eligible for a huge escalator in his new contract. What I've been told about his two fringe games in question. 12:05: Drew Carter on his broadcast career, the Celtics' season and dominance at home, and facing the Pacers again. 36:47: Oscar Tshiebwe on learning he would be involved at NBA All-Star Weekend, informing his mom first, his rookie season, splitting time between the Pacers and Mad Ants, wanting to “dominate” on the court and learning from Haliburton and Turner. ----- Follow Scott on Twitter and Instagram, and read his work on fieldhousefiles.com.

“Destination NBA: A G League Odyssey” was produced by Amazon Studios with a runtime of just under two hours. It's scheduled to debut Monday at 8:00 p.m. ET on Prime Video. And look who's on the cover for the advertisement on Prime Video? Gabe York — the Mad Ants' all-time leader in 3s in a game (nine), 3s in a season (161) and in franchise history (316). I have not seen an early copy of the documentary, so I'll be watching for the first time this week and expecting to see plenty of focus on players who both made it to the NBA and others who are so close, but not there yet. The documentary is starring G League Ignite alum Scoot Henderson, plus York and Denzel Valentine (Maine). The success stories include Seth Curry, Spencer Dinwiddie, Gary Payton II and Jalen Green. (Click here for more on York's story) This was a year-long endeavor for the production crew as they followed players around closely. The Mad Ants, led by general manager Chris Taylor and coach Tom Hankins, welcomed the crew with full access. Dan Vance, the team's director of public relations and social media, also played an important role in the relationship and setting up shots and interviews. So he's my guest on the latest Fieldhouse Files Podcast — discussing how the team and York were featured and what that experience was like. “The exciting part is that we tried to embrace the experience as a franchise and really show the grind of the G League from every level,” said Vance. “That was the most exciting part, being able to showcase who we were as a franchise, who these guys were as a team, and I think that hopefully shows in the documentary. ----- Follow Scott on Twitter and Instagram, and read his work on fieldhousefiles.com.

In Hour 1 on The Sports Rush today, we discuss a myriad of topics! We start off with asking our listeners again, what is a song that when you hear it, you know summer has started? We also discuss the NFL Schedule that is going to be released tonight, but we already have a partial schedule to talk about based on various leaks and some games already being announced. We also discuss the NBA Playoffs and Adam's Knicks surviving in Game 5 against the Heat as well as the Warriors sticking it to the Lakers in Oakland. Also in the hour, Brett discusses if he thinks that a downtown stadium in Fort Wayne would have kept the Mad Ants from leaving the city for Noblesville, or if it wouldn't have mattered in the long run. All that and more in Hour 1!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
