0:00 - OKC is printing money for their core players. They're paying 3 dudes like $800 millon dollars. That'll work for now, but they'll be catapulted into the 2nd apron in a year or two. They'd better win now, because they'll be paying the piper soon.12:35 - Have the Broncos had a good offseason so far? Also, can we stop body shaming athletes who show up to training camp with a "Dad Bod" please? Who cares what they look like if they ball out when the season starts?31:01 - DaRon Holmes II (fittingly) made his 2nd debut with the Nuggets last night in Summer League. How did he look?

In this episode, I have the privilege of chatting with Vivienne Blake—a name maybe not familiar to you but someone who came to my attention as a member of our How To Cut It Platform Community. Vivienne has not only carved a unique path in our industry as the owner of her boutique salon and an independent educator, but also launched her innovative product—See Me Aprons—all while balancing these roles. Vivienne shares a journey that began with dreams of high-fashion work, but life had other plans. A chance opportunity led her to Vidal Sassoon salon, where she honed her skills and laid the groundwork for her future endeavours. Vivienne is a brilliant example of how a career in hairdressing can be both transformative and pivotal—something I'm always thrilled to champion. Her journey showcases the incredible flexibility this industry offers. From working with a global hair brand, she navigated the profound challenge of returning home to care for her father. This led her to ingeniously convert a bathroom into a makeshift salon. Following this, she established a charming boutique salon, shared her passion for haircutting as an independent educator, and then launching her own product line, See Me Aprons. Truly inspiring! Vivienne's story could help you take the next step in your own journey, whether that's launching a product line or creating a tool for the industry. But it isn't easy—and Vivienne will share some of her obstacles with us. But if you dig deep, it could pave the way for opportunities—something that Vivienne is now experiencing as her see Me Aprons are being sold in leading hairdressing wholesalers. This is precisely what I adore about our industry: with a spark of an idea, boundless energy, passion, and staying power, you can achieve anything. Who ever said hairdressing is a stagnant career? Absolutely not! I love bringing inspiring members of our Platform Community, like Vivienne, onto the podcast. Her entrepreneurial journey and her resilience and adaptability serve as a testament to what can be achieved while working behind the chair and running a salon. Be inspired and enjoy!

Enjoy this video podcast on Spotify and Youtube! Ellen Bennett, founder of Hedley & Bennett, has never followed a conventional path. Guided by optimism, Ellen firmly believes in showing up first and then figuring the rest out later. Deeply honest and known to drop the occasional F-Bomb, Ellen is a leading example that there is not just one path to success in life and business. After attending culinary school in Mexico City, Ellen returned home to LA. To get professional experience, Ellen busted her way into some of the best kitchens in LA until she eventually became a line cook at a two-star Michelin restaurant. Around the same time, the concept for an apron business began bubbling in her head. It is this concept that ultimately led to the formation of Hedley & Bennett, the leading provider of aprons and kitchenware for top chefs everywhere. Outfitting the camper: Crockpot cutting board, and sioux vide Keeping resupply to a minimum through the renovation Weekly Shopping Report Black Friday deals going on. Dollar Tree was first. Although we found parking easily enough, they were busy enough to have three lines open, which is rare, and I saw at least one person stocking shelves. One of the food coolers in the back appears to have croaked, as it was empty ("66" on its display), but all the others were 3/4 full. The drink coolers were in good shape too, except for one making a bad rattling noise intermittently as it tried to start. Home Depot was next. Ryobi has a new line of USB-charged tools, and we picked up a rotating brush on the spur of the moment. The new batteries are NOT compatible with their old low-voltage ones. They have USB-C ports on them. Aldi was last. We found everything we wanted. The only muzzle in sight the whole trip was the woman taking care of her mom with cancer, and she'd be wearing it without the scamdemic. Staple prices were: milk: $3.02, eggs: $1.24 (+), heavy cream: $4.69, OJ: $3.29, butter: $3.49 (+), potatoes: $3.49, bacon: $4.49, sugar: $3.09, flour: $1.99, 80% lean ground beef: $4.49. A gallon of untainted gasoline remains at $3.899. Frugality Tip from Margo You can get yourself, or a friend, prepared for an upcoming surgery, life event, or just a day when you don't want to think about what's for dinner, by making up crockpot meals. Chop veggies, add seasonings and bag and freeze. Take the meat out the day before and add the frozen veggies with seasoning to the crockpot. I like to freeze bone broth in ice cube trays and throw a couple in the crockpot with a roast, stew meat or chicken, so add them to the bag of veggies for a quick and easy ready to go meal. Saves you from ordering that take out, and saves you some time. Operation Independence Take advantage of cyber deals that are actual cyber deals - which requires pricing awareness.
