After a trans athlete won the Maine State girls' pole-vaulting championship, U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the Justice Department will be suing Maine for disregarding the President's executive order banning trans athletes in women's sports. They argue Maine has violated Title IX by allowing trans athletes to compete and has “deprived women and girls of fair athletic opportunities.” Maine State Representative Laurel Libby joins the Rundown to share why she's unsurprised by the Maine Governor's liberal agenda and why she believes the people of Maine support the trans athlete ban for the sake of fairness. It has been just over five years since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the unknown nature of the virus had global implications, including much of the world shutting down its schools and businesses for weeks or even months. The new FOX Nation special, 'Nation Under Lockdown', looks back at that period and discusses some of the decisions made by government and health officials that are still being questioned today. Senior Medical Analyst Dr. Marc Siegel discusses the special, what mistakes were made, what we got right in the spring of 2020, and the current state of the virus five years later. This past week, as a show of good faith, Russia returned an American prisoner as peace talks are set to begin between U.S. officials and their Russian counterparts in the coming days. In Israel, a fragile ceasefire was maintained over the weekend as Hamas released Israeli hostages, after President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu gave the terrorist organization an ultimatum to follow the agreed upon deal or face further military action. Montana Congressman and former Secretary of the Interior in the first Trump administration Ryan Zinke (R) joins the Rundown to discuss President Trump's goal to achieve peace in Ukraine and Israel, his thoughts on the work of the DOGE department, and shares details on House Republicans' plan to pass a new budget deal.  President Trump signed the proclamation for American Heart Month, which occurs every February, encouraging people to improve and be aware of their heart health. In the United States heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women, so what are the factors that contribute to the deadly illness? FOX News Senior Medical Analyst, Dr. Marc Siegel joins to discuss the risk factors for heart disease, what Americans can do to lower risks and keep their heart healthy, and talks about his hopes for the new Health and Human Services Director RFK Jr. to improve the health of every American.  Plus, commentary from host of OutKick's "Gaines for Girls", Riley Gaines.  (Image Via AP) Learn more about your ad choices. The Republicans will open the new year with control of the House, Senate and White House, with the ability to pass a new agenda under leadership from President-Elect Trump. The incoming Congressional leaders have already signaled that they hope to pass tax reform, border security bills and cut government spending. The Senate will have their hands full with the nomination process of the President-Elect's cabinet, which has drawn criticism from some Democratic members of Congress. West Virginia Republican Senator Shelley Moore Capito joins the Rundown to discuss her new role as Chairwoman of the Senate Republican Policy Committee, what pieces of legislation she is looking to move forward in Congress, and what she thinks of the President Elect's cabinet selections so far. During the pandemic, excessive alcohol use spiked and has proven to be a hard habit to kick. The Centers for Disease Control links excessive drinking to over 200 different diseases, with liver specialists seeing a spike in the need for transplants. But there may be a solution! On this Monday edition of Sid & Friends in the Morning, there is evidently no bigger game in the world of hunting right now than former President and current GOP nominee for President Donald J. Trump, who was the target of yet another assassination attempt over the weekend while he golfed at his club in Mar-a-Lago. The mere fact that such an attempt was allowed to almost be carried out for the second time in as many months proves in and if itself that the leftist Democrat mainstream fake news media is mostly to blame for these attempts on Trump's life, with their continued pedaling of a narrative that falsely paints the former President as a threat to our Democracy. In other news of the day, Sid's daughter Ava Rosenberg is not backing down after being doxed by her peers at her University in the United Kingdom, just because she is a proud Jew who supports the free Jewish state of Israel. Joe Borelli, Curtis Sliwa, Joe Tacopina, John Catsimatidis, Alan Dershowitz, Karol Markowicz and Dr. Marc Siegel join Sid on this Monday installment of Sid & Friends in the Morning.
