Journalist Jasper Nathaniel just spent a month in the occupied West Bank, and he came back with a warning: while the world watches Gaza, Israel is finishing a decades-long project to dominate the West Bank and drive Palestinians off their land for good.Rania Khalek talks with him about what settler expansion actually looks like on the ground: armed settlers storming villages on so-called “hikes,” stealing homes and launching attacks from the houses they've stolen, cutting off a village's spring water and building a settlers-only swimming pool in the middle of a Palestinian town. They get into the Israeli state's role, the wall being built to annex the fertile Jordan Valley, and the looting of ancient ruins in Sebastia. They also dig into Congressman Ro Khanna's trip to the West Bank, his detention by settlers and soldiers, and the incoherence of coming home to tell Palestinians they must resist nonviolently. They also discuss incoming Congressman Brad Lander, the collapse of “liberal Zionism” and Jasper's own story as the grandson of Iraqi Jews who never needed Israel. This is just part of this episode. A single yes or no question can expose an entire political strategy. We sit down with activist and independent journalist Misty Winston to unpack why so many Democratic leaders can't answer plainly when Israel and Palestine comes up, especially on the hardest point: do Palestinians have a right to resist an occupying military, and what standard should apply when civilians versus soldiers are involved? We react to the viral independent media grilling of Rep. Ro Khanna and talk about why long form interviews on YouTube are changing the game. Misty breaks down the generational split inside the Democratic Party, how younger voters are processing Gaza in real time, and why double standards on “self defense” keep collapsing under scrutiny. From there, we take on Gavin Newsom's attempt to frame the crisis as a Netanyahu problem, and why that explanation dodges deeper issues tied to Zionism, occupation, and apartheid. Then we turn to the policy lever that actually matters: weapons. We analyze AOC's careful language on an arms embargo and whether progressive rhetoric translates into votes that would cut off arms transfers to Israel. Finally, we shift to a domestic civil liberties warning sign with huge stakes: Flock cameras and ALPR automated license plate readers spreading across the country, the surveillance add-ons that go far beyond plates, and why groups like dflock.org are mapping deployments as public resistance grows. If you care about 2028 Democratic politics, Israel Palestine debate, Gaza policy, and the future of privacy rights under mass surveillance, this one is built to challenge your assumptions. Rep. Send us Fan MailThe easiest way to spot propaganda is to follow the math. We start with Trump's Georgia rally, where “affordability” turns into a grab bag of familiar villains, then we pull the thread into what's actually hitting people's lives: war costs, higher prices, and zero accountability when leaders make huge claims they can't defend under basic questioning. From there, we take a closer look at the Iran War narrative whiplash. Officials keep insisting Iran is “obliterated” and victory is imminent, yet the Strait of Hormuz stays volatile, casualties mount, and Congress is left trying to extract straight answers from Pete Hegseth about strategy, objectives, and the true price tag. We break down how “Pentagon math” can understate costs by excluding munitions replacement and downstream spending, why audit failures matter, and how defense contractor incentives turn urgent requests into blank-check budgeting. We also zoom out to the accountability question with Jesse Ventura's blunt standard for legitimacy: if leaders won't send their own kids, how can they justify sending anyone else's. And we close with a major domestic transparency fight as Representatives Thomas Massie and Ro Khanna explain their new push on the Epstein files, what's still being withheld, and why survivors and state prosecutors are still fighting for access while Washington argues about intent and optics.Subscribe for more independent coverage, share this with someone who follows politics closely, and leave a review with the one question you want Congress to answer next. Democratic socialism is gaining influence across America, but how did it move from the political fringe into the mainstream? Professor Jeffrey Lax joins The P.A.S. Report to expose the forces driving the rise of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), anti-Americanism, and the growing battle over America's future. As the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) expand their influence and New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani reshapes the political conversation, many Americans are asking how these ideas gained so much traction. CUNY Professor Jeffrey Lax joins Professor Nick Giordano for an in-depth discussion on the transformation of higher education, immigration, assimilation, constitutional government, and why many political leaders continue to underestimate this growing movement. From the collapse of economic literacy in the education system and the debate over capitalism versus socialism to the spread of anti-American ideology, this episode examines the cultural, political, and institutional changes fueling one of the most consequential political shifts affecting America's future. The conversation also explores the growing influence of the DSA, the constitutional challenges facing the United States, and why civic education remains essential to preserving a free society. What You'll Learn In This Episode: The Progressive Mainstream: How democratic socialism moved from a fringe movement into America's political institutions. The DSA's Growing Influence: Why the Democratic Socialists of America continue expanding their footprint in major American cities. The Failure of Education: How higher education, faculty unions, and declining civic education shape modern political ideology and weaken economic literacy. Immigration, Assimilation & National Identity: Why immigration policy, cultural assimilation, and national identity remain central to America's future. Defending the Constitution: Why capitalism, constitutional government, and civic education remain essential to preserving American liberty. Topics Covered: Democratic Socialism, Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), Zohran Mamdani, Jeffrey Lax, CUNY Professor, Socialism vs Capitalism, Higher Education, Civic Education, US Constitution, Anti-Americanism, Immigration, Assimilation, Ro Khanna, Israel, Iron Dome, Economic Literacy, Faculty Unions

Welcome to Last Call, a look at the biggest stories Jim and Greg covered over the past week on the 3 Martini Lunch. This week they discuss the passing of South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, Secretary of State Marco Rubio's brutal takedown of Marxist and far left political movements, California Rep. Ro Khanna's dramatic “detention” by the IDF in the West Bank, and whether Daylight Saving Time should be made permanent.First, Jim and Greg recoil at the shocking death of Sen. Graham, who passed away suddenly over the weekend at age 71. They reflect on his lasting legacy in foreign policy, as a champion for pro-life legislation, and more. They also discuss replacing Graham in the Senate.Next, they applaud Sec. Rubio's excellent speech contrasting the ugly, brutal, unimaginative reality of Marxism vs. the beauty, goodness, and ingenuity of free societies. Jim and Greg also welcomre this very clear denunciation of where the Democratic Party appears to be heading. Then, Jim and Greg turn to Rep. Ro Khanna's trip to the West Bank. Khanna claims he was detained by the IDF during a confrontation with local settlers. Jim and Greg explain why Khanna's account is exaggerated and how this was an obvious political stunt. Finally, they close with a highly skeptical look at a House-passed bill to make Daylight Saving Time permanent. Jim and Greg dismiss the change as a bad idea that's already a proven failure. They also see it as a desperate stunt by an unpopular Congress trying to look busy. Please visit our great sponsors:Noble GoldOwn the metal the future depends on with the help of Noble Gold. Welcome to What Matters Now, a weekly podcast exploring key issues currently shaping Israel and the Jewish World, with host Amanda Borschel-Dan speaking with The Times of Israel's senior analyst Haviv Rettig Gur. With the sudden death of US Sen. Lindsey Graham this week, Rettig Gur is asked to expound on the loss of this staunchly pro-Israel politician who was able to rally both sides of the aisle. We then turn to the recent visits of two Democratic wannabe presidential candidates -- Rahm Emanuel, most recently the US ambassador to Japan, and US Rep. Ro Khanna. We hear how both politicians came with distinct messages and very different goals. And finally, as America turns 250, we learn about Anglo Jewry's inability to foresee the new phenomenon of antisemitism hitting the US's teeming shores. Does the vilification of Israel change their hypothetical plans for escape? And so this week, we ask Haviv Rettig Gur what matters now. Speaking with guest host Russell Dobular of the Due Dissidence show, Professor Seyed Muhammad Mirandi critiques JD Vance's explanation of the US-Iran conflict, arguing that Vance's "pragmatists vs. hardliners" framing is a fiction used to justify ongoing US violations of the memorandum of understanding. Mirandi contends that Iran never believed the US would fully implement the deal, as Trump only wanted to reopen the Strait of Hormuz for oil exports while refusing to lift sanctions, return Iranian assets, or restrain Israel.  Iran retaliated against US attempts to establish a separate shipping corridor—a clear violation of the agreement—leading to renewed skirmishes, but Tehran prepared by exporting massive oil reserves during the brief ceasefire. Mirandi concludes that the US is now in a worse strategic position because Iran stockpiled essential goods and remains militarily ready for a prolonged conflict. Morning Announcements

Today's Headlines: Trump's Big Boy speech was overhyped, overproduced, and deeply disappointing — with NBC and ABC refusing to air it. In true Donald fashion, he threatened to shut down both networks and the content itself were his greatest hits of repeatedly disproven 2020 election claims delivered at an off-pace that makes more sense now that we know his teleprompter operator was placed on leave for making $100,000 on Kalshi bets predicting the content of Trump's speeches — a guy who has operated Trump's teleprompter since 2016, personally takes his last-minute edits, and was questioned about how the January 6th speech came together. The actual upshot of the speech is that the administration plans to release thousands of declassified 2020 election documents and send letters to states they suspect of malfeasance, giving themselves cover to deploy election monitors and potentially troops in November. Meanwhile, Todd Blanche reluctantly met with Epstein survivors after Republican Senator Thom Tillis threatened to withhold his confirmation vote unless he did — survivor Liz Stein called it a box-checking exercise that had "absolutely nothing to do with them," Tillis immediately tweeted his commendation, and Blanche's confirmation is now essentially assured, which is the least surprising outcome imaginable. In a surprising shift, a hundred House Democrats — a third of the caucus — voted to cut off military aid to Israel, up significantly from 37 last time, right after California congressman Ro Khanna was detained for over an hour by armed Israeli settlers and soldiers in the West Bank and released only after contacting the US embassy, with Ambassador Mike Huckabee calling it a stunt. In other news, the cyclosporiasis parasite outbreak has been traced to shredded iceberg lettuce at Taco Bell supplied by Taylor Farms across five states, with over 5,000 cases and 4,000 in Michigan alone. The Treasury's top tax policy official was pushed out after raising concerns that a White House request could violate IRS law carrying a five-year prison sentence — following the law cost him his job, which is exactly why the law exists. And eleven Republican lawmakers sent a formal letter to the WNBA demanding accountability for "racially motivated" attacks against Caitlin Clark, because weaponizing women's sports never goes out of style. This week, Scott sat down with his colleagues Lawfare Foreign Policy Editor Daniel Byman, Lawfare Public Service Fellow Julia Curlee, and Lawfare Contributing Editor and Vice President of Research, Security and Defense at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs Ariane Tabatabai, to talk through the week's big news in foreign policy, including:“Truce or Consequences.” The fragile ceasefire that had paused the U.S.-Iran war since the spring now appears to have collapsed. After Iran struck several commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz, the United States has launched several successive nights of strikes, hitting more than 300 targets across Iran. Iran has in turn retaliated against U.S. bases in Bahrain and Kuwait. Speaking from the NATO summit in Ankara, President Trump declared the June memorandum of understanding “over” even as he insisted that talks toward a lasting peace could still continue. By the weekend, Iran had declared the Strait of Hormuz closed, and U.S. officials were describing the ceasefire as fully “broken down.” Then, on Monday, Trump escalated further—declaring that the United States would “keep” and “run” the Strait as its self-styled “Guardian,” reinstate its blockade on Iranian ships, and charge a 20% fee on all cargo passing through, an arrangement Tehran has flatly rejected. Is the war back on? And is there any diplomatic path left to pull both sides back from the brink? “Rutte Awakening.” NATO's leaders gathered in Ankara last week for a summit that Secretary General Mark Rutte billed as the launch of “NATO 3.0”—a stronger, more self-reliant Europe inside an alliance less dependent on the United States. Allies touted rapid progress toward last year's pledge to spend 5% of GDP on defense, announcing more than $50 billion in new procurement and at least €70 billion in fresh military aid for Ukraine. But the gathering was overshadowed by friction with President Trump, who publicly berated allies for declining to help in the Iran war and briefly revived his campaign to acquire Greenland before ending on a somewhat more conciliatory note. What did the Ankara summit actually accomplish? And what does “NATO 3.0” mean for the alliance's future?“Bad Bromance.” The once-close alliance between Washington and Jerusalem—and between President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu—is showing unusual public strain. Trump has repeatedly clashed with Netanyahu over Israel's continued operations in Lebanon—which have threatened the Iran ceasefire—and over the stalled second phase of his Gaza peace plan, which has all but wilted as Hamas refuses to disarm and Israel refuses to withdraw. Defense Secretary Hegseth abruptly canceled a planned trip to Israel, and a possible F-35 sale to Turkey has added to the unease. The tensions turned vivid this past week when Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna said he was detained for more than an hour by armed Israeli settlers—and then by IDF soldiers—during a West Bank visit, and armed settlers attacked a CNN crew and other journalists days later. At home, Israeli confidence in Trump has plummeted in advance of Israeli elections in October, even as U.S. primaries have produced a record number of candidates critical of Israel, particularly on the left. Just how strained is the U.S.-Israeli relationship? And how might Israel's coming elections—and America's midterms—reshape it? (Also see the Atlantic article by Thomas Wright that Julia references here.)In object lessons, Dan reviews the movie The Invite, and it's complicated. Ari reviews Israeli jazz musician Avishai Cohen's new album “Eternal Child” and is totally engaged. Scott remembers the influential life and career of Lindsey Graham, separating himself from any alleged involvement in a long-ago gym-mat scandal. And Julia is in love with post-SCIF life, especially one in which she can work from the serenity of her mother's paradisiacal porch.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/lawfare. Welcome to The Times of Israel's Daily Briefing, your 20-minute audio update on what's happening in Israel, the Middle East and the Jewish world. US bureau chief Jacob Magid joins host Jessica Steinberg for today's episode. The US House on Wednesday defeated a vote to end Israel aid. Still, with nearly 50% of Democrats backing the measure, Magid notes the significance of the measure and the vote, which he says sends the message that Israel will not have the bipartisan support it used to have if it continues its current policies toward the Palestinians. Magid reviews the recent visit of US lawmaker Ro Khanna to the West Bank, where he was briefly detained in a Palestinian village by Israeli settlers. Magid examines whether the incident was later amplified by Khanna or constitutes another case of settler violence. He touches on the venting JD Vance did during a recent podcast hosted by Joe Rogan, in which the US vice president expressed frustration over an Israeli social media campaign that criticizes the Iran deal. The latest round of Israel-Lebanon talks ended in Rome, and while the tone was positive, Magid tells us that it's unclear whether Israel will be withdrawing anytime soon from the two agreed-upon pilot zones in southern Lebanon. He opines that Israel's reluctance is probably tied to the upcoming elections and notes that the lack of progress is a sore spot for the Lebanese. The Board of Peace is progressing with plans for Gaza, with its own set of pilot zones, says Magid, but those plans are still theoretical for now. And he tells us that the Palestinian Authority has brought in an outside consultancy to vouch for progress in its reform of West Bank prisoner payments, in an attempt to prove that it is no longer incentivizing attacks on Israelis. Tommy and Ben are back with a week of war, drama over an international bridge, and an angry Norwegian World Cup fan.First up, the guys say farewell to the ceasefire between Iran and the US, hello to a new forever war, and analyze how a rushed, sloppily worded agreement negotiated by Jared Kushner and Steve Witkoff collapsed. The New York Times reveals the details of Israel's embarrassing failed plot to install former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as Iran's new president, including a fake climate conference in Budapest and a Mossad extraction plan. Trump is using questions about the new Qatari gifted Air Force One to attack reporters and a $4.7 billion bridge connecting Detroit to Canada is at the center of another Trump corruption story. In Venezuela, the earthquake death toll has climbed to nearly 4,500, and reporting confirms that Marco Rubio is essentially running the country from Washington. A Cambridge University study reveals that Boko Haram fighters have been using AI chatbots to design explosives and plan attacks. After the NATO summit in Turkey, President Erdogan gave every leader a vintage pistol with live ammo as a parting gift, and a single Norwegian man calls out the historical inaccuracies of the row by World Cup fans. Then Ben speaks to Congressman Ro Khanna about his trip to the West Bank and his detention by Israeli settlers. For a closed-captioned version of this episode, click here. - The episode opens by marking the anniversary of the Trump assassination attempt, arguing that the near miss permanently changed how Americans view presidential security, political violence, and Trump's sense of mission. - A major focus is the death of Lindsey Graham, with the episode praising his loyalty to Trump, his service record, and especially his explosive defense of Brett Kavanaugh during the confirmation hearings as the defining moment of his Senate career. - The show also returns to Graham Platner, hammering Ro Khanna and Liz Warren for backing him when it was useful, then going silent after his collapse instead of admitting they helped sell a fraud to voters. - Another key theme is the coming Democratic fight in Maine, with Troy Jackson and Shenna Bellows portrayed as weak replacement options who now have to inherit the wreckage left behind by the party's failed attempt to elevate Platner. - The episode closes by warning that the Democratic Party is still being pulled by its most radical voices, from Ro Khanna's Israel stunt to open anti-American rhetoric on the left, while Republicans gain fresh momentum from favorable 2028 polling and a weakened opposition bench. Join Jim and Greg for the Monday 3 Martini Lunch as they discuss the passing of South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham, a new "proof-of-life" photo of Kentucky Sen. Mitch McConnell that has failed to quiet online skepticism, California Rep. Ro Khanna's dramatic “detention” by the IDF in the West Bank, and an encouraging update on former Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse's ongoing battle with cancer.First, Jim and Greg recoil at the shocking death of Sen. Graham, who passed away suddenly over the weekend at age 71. They reflect on his lasting legacy in foreign policy, as a champion for pro-life legislation, and as a public servant who commanded genuine bipartisan respect. South Carolina's governor will appoint a temporary placeholder until a special primary election takes place in August.Next, they react to an official photograph and statement released by Mitch McConnell's office following his four-week hospitalization. He reportedly fell in his home and was briefly unconscious before catching a mild case of pneumonia. Despite the picture of him with a newspaper, conspiracies and suspicion still run rampant online. Then, Jim and Greg turn to Rep. Ro Khanna's trip to the West Bank. Khanna claims he was detained by the IDF during a confrontation with local settlers. Jim and Greg explain why Khanna's account is exaggerated and how this was an obvious political stunt. Finally, they close with an update on former Sen. Ben Sasse's ongoing battle with terminal pancreatic cancer. Jim and Greg praise his immense courage and resilience as he continues to defy his initial prognosis. Please visit our great sponsors:QuoMoney is on the line. Always say hello with QUO. Dave Rubin of "The Rubin Report" talks to Larry Elder and Bryan Dean Wright about Elon Musk explaining to Joe Rogan the real dark reason that Democrats like Gavin Newsom, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton changed their minds on open borders and immigration policy; the underlying source of the dangerous teenage flash mobs like the one that severely damaged businesses around Newport Beach, California, that everyone is too afraid to discuss; Spencer Pratt's latest video attacking Gavin Newsom for weakening the integrity of California elections; Andrew Gillum, the Democrat who almost beat Ron DeSantis in the race for governor of Florida, getting arrested for drug possession; how Democrats like Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and Ro Khanna were too blinded by power to see all the early warning signs of the dangers of supporting someone like Graham Platner; the dangers of Donald Trump escalating the Iran War with his plans to take over Kharg Island; and much more. - The episode opens by hammering Liz Warren and Ro Khanna for going quiet after Graham Platner's implosion, arguing they spent months defending him, ignored every warning sign, and now want to pretend they were never part of the con. - A major focus is the scramble to replace the failed nominee, with Troy Jackson and Shenna Bellows cast as weak, establishment-friendly fallbacks who are being floated by party insiders after Maine voters already made their choice. - The episode also highlights Marco Rubio stepping in after Tim Walz pardoned a Laotian child rapist, framing the deportation as a direct rebuke to Democrats who keep shielding foreign criminals instead of protecting Americans. - Another key segment returns to the Minnesota fraud machine, with Fahima Mahamud's guilty plea in the Feeding Our Future scandal used as proof that Democratic leaders enabled massive theft for years while independent reporters did the work state officials refused to do. - The episode closes on two flashpoints of disorder: Zohran Mamdani's New York ignoring church firebombings while celebrating immigrant enclaves, and Candace Owens continuing to push conspiracy theories in the Charlie Kirk murder case even as the evidence against Tyler Robinson piles up. 7/6/26 - Do Americans Even Care About Liberty Anymore? Mark Levin's Answer Will Disturb You

Mark Levin Podcast

Play Episode Listen Later Jul 7, 2026 107:50

On Monday's Mark Levin Show, Rediscovering Americanism explains that the Declaration of Independence is the essence of Americanism. What would the Founding Fathers think of today's America? Do Americans truly appreciate liberty, civil society, republicanism, and prosperity or fear their loss? Look at Zohran Mamdani, who has contributed nothing substantial to America. Mandani's anti-American speech was a string of Marxist propaganda slogans about trillionaires amid hunger, monopolies and oligarchs, wealth created by laborers' hard hands yet held by special interests' soft hands, and supremacy for a select few instead of equality.  People don't care about the identities or backgrounds of those who produce goods and services, they only want quality and value. Capitalism is the least racist, oligarchical, and discriminatory system. Also, we will politically fight the Marxists, Islamists, and the Woke Reich neo-fascists. We need to push the strength of constitutional conservatives and fire up the base to reclaim the country now. Later, another woman has come forward with allegations against Graham Platner, this time accusing him of sexual assault. Platner denies the allegations, saying they're politically motivated, yet the woman says she held off coming forward because she agrees with him politically. Will Democrats like Bernie Sanders and Ro Khanna continue to support Platner? Just like the silence when women are assaulted by illegal aliens then let go in sanctuary cities, apparently sexual assault by a socialist is not of interest to the Democratic Party. Yet these same Dems were outraged over the Kavanaugh allegations. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
