The Israeli military announced the ceasefire in Gaza has resumed after an attack that killed two IDF soldiers and was followed by a wave of airstrikes that according to Palestinians killed 36 people. Hamas accuses Israel of multiple ceasefire violations and said they have not been in contact with their forces in the area of the attack claiming they cannot be responsible for any 'incidents' in the area. Israel continues to press Hamas to fulfill its ceasefire role of returning the remains of all deceased hostages. FOX's Eben Brown speaks with Trey Yingst, Chief Foreign Correspondent for the FOX News Channel reporting from Tel Aviv, who says until all deceased hostages are returned to their families the ceasefire seems 'incomplete'. President Trump did not use the word 'imminent' when asked if an attack by Israel on Iran would happen, but suggested it is possible. This after a decision was made to evacuate non-essential personnel in embassies across the Middle East, Israel saying they are ready to take action against Iran's nuclear sites and Iran promising retaliation if that happens. Meanwhile, U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff will be heading to Oman this weekend for another round of nuclear negotiations with Iran. FOX's John Saucier speaks with Trey Yingst, Chief Foreign Correspondent for FOX News, in Tel Aviv, Israel, who says both the United States and Iran want a deal but there are some reassurances need to be on the table. We've released a few episodes on Honestly for the anniversary of October 7. Today, we're bringing you one more conversation with someone who has been breaking news on the ground every single day of this war: journalist Trey Yingst. On the morning of October 7, Trey was in Israel's south, reporting on the massacre as it unfolded. He saw bodies dragged into vehicles, mothers trying to save their children, and the bloodshed—unlike anything he had ever seen—in the communities and kibbutzim. He reported these stories live on Fox—in many instances while rockets rained down on him and his crew, who often didn't have time to take shelter. He remembers those early hours and days as “a true horror movie.” That was just the beginning of his reporting on the unfolding war, which has taken him into Gaza and more recently on an embed with Israeli troops into southern Lebanon. He tells these stories in his new book Black Saturday, which chronicles his reporting over the last year and the very real human stories of this war, both from the perspective of Israelis and Palestinian civilians in Gaza. Trey is the chief foreign correspondent for Fox News. He has reported from the front lines in Ukraine, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, and since 2018, he's been based in Israel. He says he tries to talk to everyone involved in the conflict, and he's gone a long way toward doing so. He's interviewed the leaders of Hamas and Islamic Jihad, and he's sat down on the Israeli side with everyone from Benjamin Netanyahu to Yoav Gallant. If you're someone listening who holds stereotypes about what a Fox correspondent might sound like, Trey will surprise you. Trey has unconventional and strongly held views about the future of the region, about whether Hamas can ever be defeated, and about what should happen next in the war. Most of all, he has an unwavering commitment to a kind of old-school journalism that tells stories of human beings in times of war, whatever side of the border they fall on. The CBS News Vice Presidential Debate featured many tense moments between Ohio Senator JD Vance and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. While the VP picks were peppered with questions on policies, the moderators quickly confronted Vance on his past statements about Haitian immigrants and childless women. However, Vance's steady performance allowed him to question Vice President Harris' record while scrutinizing Walz's history of progressive politics that could unnerve moderates and independents in key swing states. FOX News Radio's Josh Kraushaar joined the Rundown to discuss why Vance likely came out on top in this debate and what that could mean for 2024 voters come November. October 7th is a day that will live in infamy for Israel—the day that Hamas terrorists made a surprise assault on southern Israel, massacring Israeli citizens, committing various war crimes, and kidnapping over 200 hostages. Israel has been waging war on Hamas in Gaza ever since, but in recent weeks they have been fighting the Iranian-backed terror group Hezbollah. On Tuesday, Iran responded by launching the largest ballistic missile attack in history on the nation of Israel. As the region threatens to tip into wider war, FOX News chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst is looking back at the dark day that sparked this conflict in his book, “Black Saturday.” Trey joins to discuss how his book explores both Israeli and Palestinian perspectives and the need for journalists to cover the truths and realities of war.
