On this week's podcast episode, it is a full house as we talk about India's 0-3 home test series loss to New Zealand. This is the first time India has ever been clean swept in a home test series (of more than 2 tests). We will analyse what went wrong for Team India in a series which was to cement their position in the #WTCFinal and will look ahead to what changes are needed to get things back on track. We will try and answer the big question - is it all change for the test side and do we need to move on from the likes of Rohit, Kohli, Jadeja and Ashwin? Who will replace them? Where does this leave Pujara? #indvsnz

On TSB, Neeil and Pranav look back at this week's top cricket story, with India announcing its test squad for the tour of West Indies. The selection has left many confused, including the legend Sunil Gavaskar who said: "Stop playing Ranji Trophy. Say, it's of no use, you just play IPL and think you are good enough for the red-ball game as well."On the back of Sarfaraz Khan not being picked, Gavaskar questioned the logic behind having the Ranji Trophy if performance in the country's premier domestic tournament is not looked into while picking the Indian red-ball teams instead of taking the players IPL.Khan amassed 556 runs in six games at an average of 92.66 in the 2022–23 Ranji Trophy.Further, with Pujara being dropped but Kohli and Rohit Sharma being picked, Gavaskar asked the question: “What is Indian cricket going to learn by picking the same seniors for the two Test matches who have now failed to deliver in two World Test Championship finals?" Cheteshwar Pujara and Umesh Yadav have been dropped from India's squad for the Test series in the West Indies. Mohammed Shami has been rested. And the likes of Ruturaj Gaikwad, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Mukesh Kumar have been included in the 16-member squad for the two-Test series. Does this mean that the national selection committee has set the succession plan in place? Besides the Test squad, does the ODI squad give a clear indication about India's core of 20 players for the 2023 World Cup? Aditya Joshi gives an insight into the squad selection.

Kavi Pujara (born Leicester, 1972) is a self-taught photographer. He has a BSc in Software Engineering and an MA in Screenwriting and he works as a film editor for the BBC alongside independently making personal, long-term documentary photo projects. His work has been included in the touring group exhibition Facing Britain, he was also one of the winners in the British Journal of Photography, Portrait of Britain 2020 and was the recipient of a Martin Parr Foundation photographic bursary in 2020. This week on the show we review a great week for both the Black Caps and the White Ferns, as well as a host of other topics as we look back at the week that was. We start by discussing the amazing performance from Matt Henry, which saw him record the third-best bowling figures in a Test innings for New Zealand, as well as smashing a quick 50 at #11. There's praise for Tim Southee, Tom Blundell and Colin de Grandhomme as well as Gary Stead for his decision to promote Neil Wagner to #5 in the absence of Kane Williamson. But will South Africa bounce back in the second Test? We remain in Aotearoa to chat about the White Ferns, who have looked more and more impressive with every game of their series against India, highlighted by contributions from many different players within the squad. Then it's a quick look at the domestic scene, with the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield and the Ford Trophy up for grabs this weekend. As we venture offshore, we discuss a changing of the guard for the Indian Test team, with Pujara, Rahane, Saha and Ishant all left out. There are questions around the Australian white ball team, despite winning their T20 series 4-1 against a Sri Lankan side that showed a lot of promise. Will Aaron Finch make it to the next T20 World Cup? And how much is the IPL going to impact international tours for both Australia and New Zealand? 108 Earthly Desires of a Dark-Hearted Man by Dinkar Pujara108 Earthly Desires of a Dark-Hearted Man is an updated and revised debut in English of the author's first novel originally published in Gujarati, his native language. It is set in the spring of 1990, during a border crisis between India and Pakistan, and is an interpretation of actual historical events. A top spy for RAW, India's equivalent of the CIA, is sent to end the critical situation, one that nearly resulted in the world's first nuclear war. The spy, a complex man, spiritually ambitious but hopelessly licentious, manages to mishandle his morally repugnant personal life while trying to save the world from disaster. There are comic elements as well as serious drama in this behind-the-scenes look at international intrigue. An environmental engineer by profession, Dinkar Pujara has written three political thrillers in his language Gujarati, an Indian language spoken by about 50 million. His debut novel in English is based on his first novel, 108 Earthly Desires of a Dark-Hearted Man, which dealt with a border crisis between India and Pakistan in the spring of 1990 that almost brought the world its first nuclear war.The events involved international leaders like Russian president Mikhail Gorbachev, U.S. president George H.W. Bush, and the leaders of India and Pakistan, along with spy agencies from five countries. The above are historical facts. In his debut English novel, Pujara explores what happened prior to and after the crisis. His other novel about another crisis depicts the conspiracy and assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi by the world's first woman suicide bomber. There were many theories about who had conspired a young woman from Sri Lanka to blow herself up along with seventeen others and Mr. Gandhi in South India. The author believed at the time (and even now) that President George H.W. Bush could have warned the Indian Government prior to the horrific event since he had information about a chatter between the conspirators, but he chose to sit on it because, "he disliked all Gandhis."Pujara's book was well-received, but his allegations were covered up by intelligence personnel at the CIA, NSA, and the State Department at the time. All three of Pujara's books were serialized in prominent newspapers in Gujarat, India.https://www.writersrepublic.com/bookshop/108-earthly-desires-dark-hearted-manhttps://dinkarpujarabooks.com/http://www.bluefunkbroacasting.com/root/twia/dpujarawr.mp3
