It's one of the more unique and perhaps under-appreciated albums in the Beatles otherworldly catalog: “Beatles For Sale”. Lisa Lopes, also known by her stage name Left Eye, was an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer. She gained fame as a member of the popular R&B group TLC, alongside Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas. Lopes contributed her own self-written raps to many of TLC's hit singles, including “Waterfalls” and “No Scrubs” 1. Besides her work with TLC, she had a brief solo career, scoring two US top 10 singles with “Not Tonight” and “U Know What's Up,” as well as a UK number-one single with “Never Be the Same Again,” a collaboration with Melanie C of the English girl group Spice Girls. Tragically, on April 25, 2002, Lopes was killed in a car accident in Honduras while volunteering at a children's development center.
