D'origine ivoirienne, Jipac comme on le surnomme voit le jour à Bondy au début des années 80. À ses 5 ans, la famille Zadi décide de s'en aller en Normandie à Caen ou ils découvrent un nouvel environnement. Attaché à ses terres, ils déménagent tous dans la commune voisine de Hifs (à prononcer IFF). Élève avec de grandes qualités, il décroche un baccalauréat littéraire avant de s'orienter vers autre cursus. JP est passionné de rap. En effet, ce fan de 2pac commence à écrire ses premiers textes avant de former son tout premier groupe "la cellule". Au gré d'un bon parcours Underground, il glane la sympathie et le respect dans ce milieu qu'il découvre. À la fin des années 2000, il décide de sortir un DVD intitulé " Des halls aux bacs " avec la participation d'un certain Alpha 5 20. Ce dernier lui confiera les reines de son premier film "African Gangster " qui fut un franc succès dans le milieu urbain. De là, on le reconnaît comme un réalisateur aguerri. Des années plus tard, il réalisera son premier film à budget " Tout simplement noir " qui fut un carton plein.. il obtiendra même le césar du meilleur espoir français. His 1989 film "The Killer" is a cult classic of Hong Kong action cinema, featuring John Woo's dynamic style as a filmmaker and highlighting Chow Yun-Fat's charisma as its protagonist. Woo has now revisited the film for a 21st-century audience, shifting the action to Paris and putting Nathalie Emmanuel in the leading role, a femme fatale with a strong sense of remorse. We caught up with cast at the film's Paris premiere, where Omar Sy told us more about playing the good cop and doing his own stunts. We also get the latest from the El Gouna Film Festival in Egypt, as FRANCE 24's Lyana Saleh explains how the geopolitical context is affecting the event.
