They critiqued Brian Schmetzer's starting lineups and the handling of Jackson Reagan's knee injury. Looking ahead to a daunting matchup against a highly talented FC Cincinnati team, they discuss what can be done formationally with the roster that is currently not hurt. Finally, the hosts underscored an organizational need to shift focus toward a massive roster rebuild for next year, stressing that completing new player transfers in the remaining two weeks of the summer window is absolutely crucial to restore faith with a frustrated fan base.Follow Niko Moreno on BlueSky and YouTube.Sponsor

Natalie Kelley spent years as a stay-at-home mom before trading carpool duty for a cockpit, earning her private pilot's license in her 40s and eventually flying corporate jets for a front-row education in high-end service. After a divorce sent her back out into the world with her kids in college, she launched Fly Girl to help solo travelers and empty nesters, especially women in their 50s and beyond, chase their travel bucket lists without draining their savings. Susan and Natalie talk about cockpits, credit cards, and confidence. What You'll Learn: - What a 1999 bucket list pulled out of a scrapbook had to do with her pilot's license - Why the climb from co-pilot to captain never actually stops - What made her turn down a full-time corporate pilot job she'd already been offered - What hotels and travel brands get dead wrong about solo, bucket-list travelers - Why she'd rather hire a private tour guide than "make friends" on vacation - Why chasing sign-up bonuses beats swiping for everyday points - How letting the points pick the destination landed her a trip to Germany and Switzerland - What "analysis paralysis" is costing travelers who think every trip needs ten days - How timing one big expense can unlock a six-figure points haul Key takeaway: You don't need to be young, rich, or fearless to chase your bucket list, just willing to start and be smart about your points. They unpack the late amendments that finally got the Big Ten and SEC on board with new guardrails against private equity and superconference consolidation, plus a proposed retention cap that could more than double the current revenue-share ceiling. Dan and Mike question whether the bill has real momentum or is mostly political noise without practical consensus behind it.From there, the conversation turns to the eligibility litigation wave sparked by the NCAA's five-for-five model and its exclusion of the 2022 recruiting class. Sam walks through how courts are broadly willing to enjoin NCAA bylaws across a growing patchwork of state and federal cases, with a detailed look at the Cole Hutson matter - the Texas offensive lineman who went through NFL rookie minicamps before winning a TRO against the NCAA and folding into the Wisne class action to rejoin the Longhorns. The group also flags a likely issue to arise: what happens to an athlete's eligibility after going through a professional draft and summer league, using RJ Lewis's LSU-to-NBA-draft-to-Celtics-summer-league situation as the live example. They close on one of the week's most talked-about stories: Jayden Daniels' cease-and-desist letter to LSU over the reissue of his No. 5 jersey. Sam contextualizes it against similar NIL-after-graduation suits from Jameson Williams and Ezekiel Elliott, and the group questions where the legal line actually sits between a school honoring a player's legacy versus commercially exploiting it, even as they agree the timing hasn't done Daniels any favors.Let us know your thoughts!***Have a topic you want to write about? When Losses Pile Up: Navigating a Cascade of Deaths

Margaret Meloni opens her heart to share the raw, unvarnished story of her own confrontations with death - from her mother-in-law's quiet passing at 98 to the shattering week when both her mother and her husband Ed died just five days apart. With gentle honesty, Margaret recounts how these losses, along with her father's terminal cancer and the death of a beloved uncle, forced her to move beyond fear and avoidance into a place of acceptance. She invites listeners to consider a radical truth: that embracing impermanence isn't about being morbid, but about finding freedom from anxiety, stress, and despair. Drawing on the Buddhist teachings that became her lifeline, Margaret explores how the Four Noble Truths and the Noble Eightfold Path can serve as a steady foundation when grief threatens to overwhelm. She reflects on the cultural pressure to "be fine" after three days of bereavement, the comfort of faith, and the unexpected grace of the people who show up when we need them most. This episode is not a prescriptive guide but a shared conversation about what it means to become death-ready, to let go of clinging, and to live ardently even as we know all things must pass. Whether you are grieving a recent loss, preparing for one yet to come, or simply seeking a more grounded relationship with life's only certainty, this episode offers companionship and clarity. As Margaret says, "We cannot protect each other from death - but we can learn to walk beside it with courage, community, and a little faith." Tune in for a message that is both tender and transformative. May you be well, may you be happy, and may you be free from suffering.

Politico reports that Jenny Racicot, a 41-year-old Maine resident who dated Senate candidate Graham Platner, says he entered her home uninvited in late 2021 while intoxicated and forced himself on her as she repeatedly told him to stop. Why is the media still covering for him when they would have wrecked the life of any Republican facing even half of Platner's accusers? Platner still denies it: “These allegations are troubling, serious, and false. Any accusation of non-consensual behavior is categorically untrue.” His campaign calls the story “coached and coordinated by out of state establishment operatives.” But now even many his strongest supporters are calling on him to drop out of the race. Curtis Houck of NewsBusters walks through how the national media has covered the Maine Democrat as an “oyster farmer” despite recurring controversies including a tattoo resembling a Nazi symbol and a growing list of accusers. Eric Bolling, host of TheEDGE and a two-time New York Times bestselling author, discusses the spread of Flock surveillance cameras in American towns and what it means when, as one report put it, you “cannot get a breath of fresh air without us knowing.” Curtis Houck is the NewsBusters Managing Editor at the Media Research Center's News Analysis Division, where he chronicles the best and worst of the network evening newscasts, primetime cable shows, and late-night comedy programs. After a week of decisions coming in from all corners, Mary and Andrew begin with a court order issued to remove President Trump's name off the Kennedy Center after a failed, last-minute attempt by the administration to stop it from happening. Mary refers to this as “good news in the fight against revisionist history,” which she ties into their second beat: a preliminary injunction issued to restore changes to National Parks that were made after Trump issued an executive order calling for modifications to monuments, parks and memorials to rewrite and censor American history and science. Then, onto a federal judge in Virginia officially blocking the $1.776 Billion slush fund after mixed messaging from the administration about whether it would be set up, plus a decision by Judge Mehta in DC to overturn the Department of Energy's cancellation of $82.1 Million in clean energy grants to “Blue” states across the country. Mary and Andrew also touch on a Massachusetts District Court decision blocking Ken Paxton's lawsuit against the Democratic fundraising platform ActBlue. And last up, they read and summarize the eyebrow-raising grand jury transcripts of the “Broadview Six” case out of Chicago, so you don't have to.  Further reading: Here is Judge Mehta's order reinstating the clean energy grants: https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.mad.296214/gov.uscourts.mad.296214.41.0.pdf   Sign up for MS NOW Premium on Apple Podcasts to listen to this show and other MS podcasts without ads.
