Kash Patel, Dan Bongino, Tulsi Gabbard, and Jeanine Pirro are in positions of power to finally bring justice to history's greatest villains?  So why are there still no indictments of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton?  We know why!  We trace the straight line from Bush's load-bearing lies about Iraq and Katrina to Trump's promises of revenge against Democrats, and examine what happens when the MAGA mob's expectations clash with the reality that their conspiracy theories can't survive 30 seconds in a real courtroom. From grand juries refusing to indict the "Sandwich Guy" to a federal judge calling "backpacking while Black" searches "the most illegal I've ever seen," we explore how TrumpWorld is discovering that putting people in charge based on loyalty to Fox News lies, rather than competence, has predictable consequences.Stay in Touch! Email: proleftpodcast@gmail.comWebsite: proleftpod.comSupport via Patreon: patreon.com/proleftpodMail: The Professional Left, PO Box 9133, Springfield, Illinois, 62791Support the show

The head of the D.C. Police Union, Gregory Pemberton, expresses full support for the president's crime crackdown, citing a shortage of officers and local legislation passed in 2020 that he claims "handcuffed" police. This stands in stark contrast to the D.C. City Council, which has condemned the federal intervention. Former Assistant Attorney General Coley Stimson and U.S. Attorney for D.C. Jeanine Pirro also weigh in, attributing the city's crime problems to what they call a "Marxist" policing philosophy that intentionally weakens the justice system and emboldens criminals. The discussion also shifts to national economics, highlighting the appointment of Dr. E.J. Antoni to the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the implications of his leadership for the accuracy of economic data. The speaker criticizes previous job numbers as being fabricated to make Democrats look good, a practice they say was causing international investors to lose confidence in the U.S. economy. The show concludes by criticizing Republican Senate leadership for allegedly obstructing the president's appointments to various positions.

White smoke! Cardinal Robert Prevost, an American-born prelate with a surprisingly political Twitter history, dons the papal vestments as Pope Leo XIV. Trump announces a trade deal with the United Kingdom and swaps out two key nominees for MAGA (and MAHA) favorites: tree-loving influencer Casey Means for Surgeon General, and Fox News's Jeanine Pirro for US Attorney for DC. Senate Democrats clash with Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and FBI Director Kash Patel over the constitutional right to due process. And President Joe Biden attempts to rehabilitate his reputation, going on The View to talk about why he believes he would've won the 2024 election. Jon and Dan discuss MAGA's reaction to our new, possibly woke pope, House Republicans' internal debate over Medicaid cuts, and why Democrats should be honest about Biden's decline. Then, Jon talks to Leah Litman, co-host of Strict Scrutiny, about the Trump administration's attacks on the judicial system and her new book Lawless: How the Supreme Court Runs on Conservative Grievance, Fringe Theories, and Bad Vibes. For a closed-captioned version of this episode, click here.
