EP312: Today's guest is Tiphany Kane, who I refer to as a Podcasting Dynamo, because she has not just one but THREE podcasts! I asked her to be on the show because she's a great role model of living a sparked second half, as well as a fantastic example of how you can find your way to a more passionate existence in spite of the hardships or lack of support you may have. Tiphany has certainly made up for lost time, creating her own company, KaSa Media Productions which allows her to bring her passion for the art of the spoken word to people who need help finding their voice. She's a coach, public speaker, podcast producer, videography director and is the Executive Director of Sonic Bloom Podcast Awards. Tiphany also hosts the Radical Audacity in Love & Life, Diet Riot Sweat Repeat, and Mastering the Podcaster Mindset podcasts. "You are just too passionate." were the words she heard from a supervisor explaining why she was not selected for a promotion she was qualified for. Although these words stung, they were the words she needed to hear to make the necessary career change that would take her down a much more purpose-filled path. At age 49 she says: "Life is just beginning for me! I am lit up with creativity, options, ideas, and possibility." And she wants you to know if your brightness is being dulled, know that it is never too late to find your passion and purpose. What did 2022 look like for you? It was a year of massive change, growth, heartache, and joy for me. January was the rebrand of this podcast from Love & Life After Divorce to Radical Audacity in Love & Life. Listen to the trailer.I also Found out that I needed to have a hysterectomy on the same day I found out that my ex-father-in-law, my children's grandfather, passed away. It was a day of deep, dark emotions. Listen to Death & a Hysterectomy episode here.In March I had my hysterectomy and other than some complications- it was the first time I had 8 weeks to devote to being creative with this podcast and dive into my KaSa Media business.I published the 100th episode of this podcast with none other than THE BB Easton as my guest! BB Easton is the author of Sex/Life: 44 Chapters about 4 men- a book that got turned into the popular, very steamy Netflix series: Sex/Life. She had been a public school employee and self-published her novel....a few years later her novel got turned into a Netflix series and she published half a dozen other books. She is so darn inspiring! Listen to BB Easton's Interview here.June was the start of my new life!!! I officially quit my 20 year carer in public education and began to be the full-time CEO of KaSa Media Productions! It was thrilling and terrifying at the same time! Listen to that episode here.In August Radical Audacity officially turned 1 year old!! One year of podcasting and look what changed....I started a new business, quit my day job, have collaborated with incredible people I admire, spoke on the Keynote stage at Podfest Expo and landed a TED talk! Celebrating milestones together is so important! Listen to that episode here.My crowning accomplishment this year was coordinating and hosting my first virtual summit! Today I was on a walk on a trail I used to walk all the time when my children were little. On the trail is a tunnel that goes under a bridge. My children used to love to go into that grey, drab, corrugated tunnel and dance and yell to hear the echo of their voices...but it always felt a little bit scary to me.As I approached the tunnel today, I noticed something different. I noticed that artists had begun to transform the tunnel from grey and drab to a technicolor work of art. This tunnel is now a place that is vibrant, joyful, and overflowing with colorful creativity. The artists were there working on finishing the base painting and adding the patterns and images that would finish the transformation. It made me think of us as women. It is the perfect metaphor for how we often feel like we are stuck in a colorless, thankless life. We are always doing, doing, doing for others and that makes us feel sad, burned out, exhausted...colorless. Yet, small acts (Like the simple act of painting the tunnel) can bring about a beautiful, technicolor life.Be sure to check out the pictures on my instagram page! @tiphanykaneOther episodes you will enjoy:My Realization about the Radical Audacity of Self-CareRaise Your Volume So Your Voice Can Be HeardDetours on the Road Less TraveledContact Tiphany:DM me on IG @tiphanykaneCheck out my website: www.tiphanykane.comLeave Tiphany a Voice Message to have a spotlight on the podcastProduced & Edited by: KaSa Media Productions

Self-care is a radically audacious act for me. having been raised in an extremely patriarchal religion, self- sacrifice was the expectation. It was ungodly to care too much for yourself. Spending time on a self-care routine rather than a faith routine was seen as self-indulgent. I was also taught that my body was something to be ashamed of as a woman. These messages are so challenging to unlearn. I am now on a journey to unlearn the harmful messages of my past an to embark on a journey of loving the body I am in. Big disappointment often brings big emotions with it. Often these emotions do not feel very comfortable or good. They can feel painful, dark, and sad. I recently had an experience where something I had worked very hard for ended up bringing about a big disappointment. My initial reactions were:feelings of deep, bone-weary sadnessfeelings anger and righteous indignationfeelings of "why am I not good enough for this person?"feelings of embarrassmentfeelings of worrying that I let my collaborators downmassive feelings of confusion & frustrationTheses are all very normal human feelings. And it is good to acknowledge those feelings and understand their origins. This episode explores the origin of those feelings and how we can take the next steps to moving through the disappointment. I was utterly shocked today to have my news app share 2 stories in succession:In Historic Reversal, Supreme Court Overturns Roe vs. Wade, Frees States to Outlaw Abortion Overturning a Woman's Right to ChooseSupreme Court Bolsters Gun Owner's Rights to Carry a Weapon in PublicTo say that I am feeling frustrated, shocked, flabbergasted, and angry is just the tip of the iceberg. Radical Audacity is all about us living our truth and authenticity. it means that we DO NOT dim our light, quiet our voice, or put on a smiling face when we are screaming inside. Radical Audacity is acknowledging our feelings, being curious about them, and voicing them. This is a raw, unedited moment of radical audacity for me. Episode 100!!!!!!!!BB Easton is the pure embodiment of Radical Audacity! She began her professional life as a school psychologist...she did all the things she was "supposed" to do. She got married to a loving, reliable man, she went to school for 7 years to get her advanced degree in school psychology, she had children, she began her career....and almost a decade into that career she realized she totally lost herself. So BB Easton wrote a book. Not just any book. She wrote a memoir about her hot, steamy, pretty kinky sex life. In writing this book, BB found herself, her power, & her voice. BB Easton"s advice to us all: People need to find time for their passions. It doesn't have to become a career, but those talents and passions are what make you who you are. When you let them die, you lose a part of yourself. “Let your passion be your purpose and it will one day be your profession”. It's not the first time I've shared that quote. But, as I begin another trip around the sun, I find myself doing a lot of deep thinking. From “what have I accomplished?” to “what more is there to do?” And of course, “Am I on the right path?” When Tiphany Kane asked me to be a guest on her podcast, Radical Audacity, I was reminded of just how much life is a falling into. She asked me some powerful questions about passion and purpose. So, to celebrate my birthday week, I'm choosing to be the gift giver here. Sharing the journey with you and answering those questions. I guess it's my own trauma to triumph story. The struggles and shifts that lead to the AHAs; those moments that paved the way and opened new doors. But also, the difficult choices I had to make. From letting go and leaving what I knew as "safe" to allowing new possibilities to take center stage. Welcome to Season 2 of Love & Life and to the rebrand of the podcast. This podcast was formerly Love & Life After Divorce and is now Radical Audacity in Love & Life.Radical Audacity radical is living your life in a way that may be radically different from what society expects of you. It's that knowing who you are deep inside, knowing yourself and knowing what is right for you and really claiming that it's you living your life held high and saying, okay, you can't take me down by shame.Radical audacity is living in a way that says to the world, "You can't make me feel shame for any of these things that happened to me in my life. And I will talk about them and I will explore them. And I will make a difference in somebody else's life that they don't feel the shame and they don't feel alone."Dm me on IG @tiphanykaneCheck out my website: www.tiphanykane.comPurchase your #selflove merchandise here
