With the girls state basketball tournament set to begin at the Resch Center in Green Bay on Thursday and the boys playoffs reaching the Sectionals, it will be a full show of high school hooops.We start by heading to Randolph where Rockets boys coach Tyler Fischer (4:20) will join us to preview his team's D5 Sectional Semifinal against Monticello at Edgewood High School.   Then we will visit with Hustisford boys coach Jake Falkenthal (10:00) as his team travels to Oshkosh West High School for another D5 Sectional Semifinal against #1 ranked Sheboygan Lutheran.  Next we move up to D4 where John Koopman's Markesan Hornets (17:34) head to Oconomowoc for a matchup with Trailways South champ Palmyra-Eagle.   In Division Three, Waupun and Columbus will meet at Beaver Dam High School in a Sectional Semi. We'll preview that one with Warrors coach Brett Pickarts (22:56) & Cardinals coach Ben Schambow (30:20).  We then talk girls high school hoops with Beaver Dam coach Tim Chase (36:23) who's team meets Pewaukee in a D2 State Semifinal on Friday afternooon at 3pm.   The Golden Beavers are looking to win an unmatched 4th straight state championship.   Finally we talk a bit more about the girls state tournament with our resident scouts Jack Nortman and Dan Yagodinski. It is a perfect time to talk tourism in Green Bay!  The Packers preseason is underway, and it's been a busy couple of weeks at training camp.  The crowds of people at practice to watch the team are a good example of just some of the folks who are coming here to spend their dollars on hotels, activities and shopping.  We went to the top of the Resch Center for a birds-eye view of the new Expo Center that's under construction, and to talk with the president of the Greater Green Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau-Brad Toll.
