The Headlines: Brat Summer Is Out—Welcome to Dilly-Dally Spring BTS Drops Lullaby Album for the Next Generation OpenAI Struggles to Keep Up with Demand as GPUs "Melt" "Brat Summer" Is Over—Make Way for "Dilly-Dally Spring" Last year, Brat Summer took over social media, fueled by Charli XCX’s bass-heavy party album Brat. The trend embodied wild, reckless nights, smudged makeup from the night before, and spontaneous tattoos. But 2025 is ushering in a different vibe—TikTokers are now embracing Dilly-Dally Spring. Instead of partying until dawn, the new aesthetic is all about doing… absolutely nothing. Slower days, lazy afternoons, and taking life at a leisurely pace are the new seasonal goals. Will you be dilly-dallying this spring?Source BTS Is Making Lullabies Now—Yes, Really BTS may be on hiatus for military service, but that’s not stopping them from reaching a new audience—babies. The K-pop giants are lending their music to a Rockabye Baby! album, turning hits like Butter, Permission to Dance, and Dynamite into soothing lullabies. The album drops next Friday, making it the perfect soundtrack for the next generation of BTS stans—starting from the crib.Source OpenAI Limits Image Generation as GPUs "Melt" Under Demand The hype around ChatGPT’s AI image generation has been so intense that OpenAI is struggling to keep up. CEO Sam Altman announced on X that the company has temporarily limited image requests, saying, “It’s super fun seeing people love images in ChatGPT, but our GPUs are melting.” No word yet on how long the limit will last, but OpenAI is working to boost efficiency to handle the overwhelming demand.Source Nina's What's Trending is your daily dose of the hottest headlines, viral moments, and must-know stories from The Jubal Show! For most people, when you hear the first few bars of “Rock-A-Bye Baby,” you immediately know that the tune is a lullaby. But would you be able to pick out a lullaby from another culture? This is the question that cognitive scientist Samuel Mehr and evolutionary biologist Manvir Singh were interested in answering. They played lullabies, dance songs, and other types of songs to random internet users to see if there was a universality between these musical forms.Their results were published in Current Biology in 2018. Mehr and Singh discuss whether music is universally understood across cultures, and how context and culture play a role in our understanding of music.Universe of Art is hosted and produced by D. Peterschmidt, who also wrote the music. The original segment was produced by Alexa Lim. Our show art was illustrated by Abelle Hayford. For series 2 of my podcast about long distance paths and walking in the UK, I tackle the Worcestershire Way. A 31 mile walk through the beautiful English countryside. This episode features the second half of the walk from Knightwick to Malvern. Given the importance of fruit orchards to Worcestershire I also chat to apple and pear expert and Countryside Officer from the Worcestershire County Council Wade Muggleton about all things apples and pears and learn why pears are associated with Worcestershire. To learn about the importance that orchards play on improving the biodiversity of our countryside I also talked to Steve Oram, Orchard Biodiversity Officer from the Peoples Trust for Endangered Species who is also secretary for to the UK Orchard Network The episode also covers the top 12 facts about the county of Worcestershire! I'm trying to complete a self contained LDP in each of the 38 counties of England. Worcestershire will be my 5th county. When you hear our next guest's last name, you most likely think of her larger-than-life big brother David Lee Roth — lead singer of Van Halen. But did you know that musical prowess ran in the family? Driven to turn her love of music into a gift that mothers and babies could enjoy together, Lisa Roth conceived an album series called Rockabye Baby, which transforms pop and rock hits into instrumental lullabies. Acts like Metallica, Lady Gaga, Fleetwood Mac, Madonna, No Doubt, Snoop Dogg, and (of course) Van Halen have never sounded so sweet. With over 100 albums released and billions of streams under her belt, she's proven to be an exceptional entrepreneur, record label executive and creative director. In this episode, Lisa covers: Life as a kid in the Roth household How the ‘60s and ‘70s school integration and women's lib movements shaped her journey Transforming a rock anthem into a soothing lullaby (it ain't easy!) Which skillset gives her an advantage as an entrepreneur Plus, Lisa's answers to The Shakedown! See full show notes, links, and videos at backstagechats.com/lisa-roth
Ciao a tutte e a tutti! Some days it just takes a while to get going. The gang has been through a lot and it appears to be manifesting in their personality through...shenanigans.
