We are saying Hello and saying goodbyes. In life, there are pivotal moments when we have the opportunity to say Goodbye, and then there are other times when we don't have that opportunity to say Goodbye. The same holds true when we are introduced to something or say hello to something new. We might not take advantage of those hellos. We might ignore or avoid them, walk right by, and not pause and say hello. You may have had the experience of someone trying to get your attention, and you avoid making eye contact. You may also have had a time when you arrived, and someone you wanted to see had already left and missed or taken opportunities to end things and begin something. Life is like a sailboat – you can steer left or right, but the wind will always take you where you need to be. Sometimes, the wind changes to take you to an unexpected but better place.Beliefs change – evolution through the heart to change your mind. There is more to you than what you've already done.Evolution IS• A collapsing of time, space, and dimensions· A curiosity of past lifetime - it's as if the soul must look back to learn, heal, and understand for it to go forward. • Our soul families are changing for new journeys • Our team of guides is changing • The astral leaders are changing and being more present with us.• We are remembering • As we awaken, we need something different • Having curiosity and a natural desire to shift our experiences. In the past, we may have said that we were under stress. We may understand that Stress doesn't come from what's happening in your life. It comes from your thoughts about what's going on in your life – or what you feel should be going on in your life. You are qualified for this lifetime; as much as you might feel you are underqualified, failing, or floundering, you're actually overqualified as a human to figure it out. This is why you are here now in this lifetime – at this time. Interacting with the people and places that you are.Send us a textSupport the showThanks for listening - For questions or comments email Laurie at Laurie@yourlifecore.comInstagram @yourlifecore or Twitter @yourlifecore Facebook https://www.facebook.com/YourLifecoreWebsite www.yourlifecore.com

This morning we discuss the practice on Tisha B'Av and when visiting a Shiva house, to not exchange greetings such as hello, how are you, have a nice day, etc. to express that normal social interaction has been ruptured by grief. We share a deep insight into this awkward practice from Rabbi Leibish Hundert, that not giving a greeting in this case actually deepens our normal greetings. And we learn from Rabbi Meilech Biderman to always consider, when someone during the year does not greet us, that perhaps they are going through their own personal Tisha B'Av at that moment. Michael Whitman is the senior rabbi of ADATH Congregation in Hampstead, Quebec, and an adjunct professor at McGill University Faculty of Law. ADATH is a modern orthodox synagogue community in suburban Montreal, providing Judaism for the next generation. We take great pleasure in welcoming everyone with a warm smile, while sharing inspiration through prayer, study, and friendship. Well Hello New Year! I hope you all had some good times throughout this past holiday season. As we open the door to 2024, I hope you're being kind to yourself and not feeling too much pressure with the whole "new year new you" frenzy. You're awesome! Whenever you're ready to attempt whatever changes you want to make for the You that you are to be tweaked a bit, I'm sure you'll do just great. And remember that faltering along the way is all part of it. While I haven't made resolutions for the New Year per se, I have set the goal of "plogging" two to three times per week, which is picking up litter while out for a run/walk. I'll be kept quite busy as there is a lot of litter strewn throughout NEPA. I share a bit about that this week, along with the impact that the Keep America Beautiful (Crying Indian) commercial had on me in the 70s. While effective, this commercial later created controversy. Read about it here. And I share some information about the guests you will get to hear from in the coming weeks as I kick off Season 5 of Uncorked with Funny Wine Girl! It's gonna be a great year and I look forward to sharing the goodness with you each week. I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart and the bottom of my wine glass.

There was an interesting study out this week that showed a connection between overall health and mental health with the simple act of saying "Hello" to your neighbors. KSL Newsradio's Amanda Dickson asked her guests what they thought about this. Her guests this week include Amanda Covington, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer at the Larry H. Miller Company, and Shauna Cheshire, a nurse for 25 years who is now studying to be a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Adele, Lionel Richie, Lady Gaga and The Beatles all have this one thing in common; a song about Hello. Saying hello is an incredibly powerful word that we can say as human beings to other human beings. When we say hello we are acknowledging another person's existence. In this episode Carla Ward dives into the power behind saying hello and why we should be teaching children to say it and it's not just to be polite. Book Mention: Bringing Up Bebe

This week, I am joined by Dr. Wilfredo Alvarez. Dr. Alvarez is an Associate Professor of Communication and Media, and Co-Coordinator of Communication and Social Justice at Utica University, and we can add the author to the list of things that Dr. Alvarez does because I had a chance to chat with him about his new book "Everyday Dirty Work: Invisibility, Communication, and Immigrant Labor." He explores how Latin American immigrant janitors communicate in predominantly White academic institutions from marginalized standpoints. Specifically, it takes a look at how custodial workers perceive, interpret, and thematize periodic messages regarding race, ethnicity, and other intersecting identities, and how those messages and overall communicative experiences affect both their work and personal lives.
