Hello friends. Happy New Year. I am back, my voice is not really back but I'm here, and so excited for the year ahead. I'm working on a few new projects and lots of fun ideas for upcoming episodes. If you are new here, let me introduce myself. I am Amy Gray, host of Lately I've Been. I started this podcast with the idea of sharing my life, my struggles, my joys, my perspective in hopes that it would help someone out there feel less alone. Life can be hard, we can feel like we are facing battles and situations that no one else struggles with, but that is far from the truth. Social media might give you the highlight reel of other people's lives but you have to know there are battles, struggles, and stories behind those perfect pictures. Just like you face and just like I face. So throughout this year I will share what I've been facing lately, what I'm dealing with, what I'm working on, reflecting on. No highlight reel, just real life. And hopefully you will feel less alone, feel connected, empowered, supported, inspired, seen, encouraged. That is my hope for this podcast. In this episode, I sit down with Amy Gray-Cunningham, who is an intuitive healer and an Akashic Records Practitioner. Her mission is to help people fulfill their soul's purpose. She believes we are the creators of our own experiences. Therefore, we manifest the life we desire.   On June 5, 2021, the day after her oldest son's wedding, her love and partner unexpectedly passed away. They were high school sweethearts and had dated for two years. Twenty years later, they reunited and married on September 26, 2009—blending two incredible families.    When Chuck passed away, he didn't believe in an afterlife. He thought, when you're dead you're dead. But since then, he returned to tell Amy she was right! Heaven exists, and it's not as far away as you think.    Chuck continues to amaze Amy with stories of the afterlife, and he sends her daily signs that he's right there with her. Over this past year, Amy had learned that their love never died when Chuck crossed but now it's just different. They are learning to communicate in a new way, and each day is a miracle and a blessing.    Since we are spiritual beings having a human experience, connecting with our loved ones in heaven is easy. It's like going home—we never forget where we came from. Chuck reminds Amy daily that life is to be lived fully without hesitation and with an open expectation of guidance from the other side.    **TRIGGER WARNING** This episode covers sensitive subject matter and is not suitable for all listeners. She is an intuitive healer and an Akashic Records practitioner and the author of Daring To Believe. but that's not all. She was divinely guided to give one of her kidneys to a complete stranger. And if that is not just so remarkable in and of itself there's more - she was a one in 20 million match! What are the odds? This is an incredible story of a remarkable woman who is full of wisdom and insights into living with deeper awareness and encouraging us all to Dare To Believe in the power of something far greater than this world and far greater than the eye can see.  She has been on a soul journey working to develop her own intuition and access the Akashic records and the divine guidance she was given is confirmation of the work she's been doing. She has so many insights into living powerfully and tapping into our own intuition and gaining a deeper understanding of who we are, our soul's purpose, and our soul contract in this incarnation through the Akashic records. It is an insightful conversation that shows us the power of love and compassion along with the depth of understanding worlds far greater than this physical plane.        You can check out her website at amygraycunningham.com.

We kick off the Year of the Incontrovertible Skunk with our fifteenth episode, heading not to the Discworld at all, but to Earth, 1990! Two guests - academic Jen Beckett and writer Amy Gray - join us as to tackle a book written by two authors: Good Omens, written by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman! The time has come for Armageddon: the End of Days, the Final Battle between Good and Evil. Which comes as rather a shock to the demon Crowley and angel Aziraphale, who've been more or less friends for centuries, and rather enjoy Earth the way it is, thank you very much. But can they really do anything about it in the face of the ineffable plan of God? Or when everything that happens has been foretold by a 16th century witch - as interpreted by her descendant, Anathema Device? And has anyone asked the Antichrist himself what he thinks? Well no, of course not. They don't know where he is. Good Omens was Sir Terry's first collaboration with another author, and Gaiman's first novel, written while he was still working on his biggest comics success, Sandman. In part a parody of The Omen, but joking about everything from motorways to computers and the Greatest Hits of Queen along the way, it's an epic tale of Armageddon soon to arrive on the small screen via Amazon Prime and the BBC - adapted by Neil himself. Did you come to this as a Pratchett fan, or a Gaiman one? Did you cross over and start reading the others' work? And how different do you find it to the rest of Pratchett? We'd love to hear from you! Use the hashtag #Pratchat15 on social media to join the conversation. Dr Jennifer Beckett lectures at Melbourne University in Media and Communications. Her specialist areas as a researcher include Irish cinema and cultural studies, social media, and transmedia world-building. (Jen's basically an expert in all the cool parts of popular culture.) A current focus for Jen is the connection between social media and trauma, as explored in her most recent article for The Conversation: "We need to talk about the mental health of content moderators". Amy Gray has written for The Age, The Guardian, the Queen Victoria Women's Centre and many other publications and organisations. She's currently working on her first book, hopefully to be published in 2019. You can find out more and support her independent writing via her Patreon. You can also find her on Twitter at @_AmyGray_. You can find full notes and errata for this episode on our web site. We love bringing you Pratchat every month, but in order to make sure we can stick it out to the very end - and cover every one of Sir Terry's books - we need your help! We've started an optional subscription service via Pozible which will help us keep making Pratchat for you, and even let us do it better; find out all about supporting Pratchat on our new Support Us page. Next month we'll continue the religious theme as we're joined by the Reverend Doctor Avril Hannah-Jones for an examination of faith, Discworld-style, in Small Gods! What would compel someone to donate one of their kidney's to a complete stranger?  What are the truths and myths about being a living donor?   I was introduced to Amy Gray-Cunningham through my friend Anastasia Lipske from Access Speakers.  Amy is a living kidney donor and felt a direct calling from above to give one of her kidney's to a total stranger.  Join us as we talk about her journey and find out that despite the extraordinary act Amy, and anyone else who can donate a kidney, is just like you and me.   You can find a link to Amy's book here about her experience donating a kidney titled Daring to Believe.  It's available in both hardcopy and on Kindle.   Love in action is listening to understand, not to react. You can find us on different mediums to listen and subscribe such as iTunes, Spotify, Google Play Music, TuneIn,  iHeart Radio, PodBean, Cast Box and more by clicking here. We are very anxious to hear YOUR feedback at our first jump into this and want to hear the good and bad so we can keep doing the right things correctly and correct the things we are not. Please contact us at sean@thecometothetablepodcast.com for any and all feedback, comments, show suggestions and the like.  You can also like our Facebook Page  as well as follow us on Instagram & Twitter  A special thanks to the musical talent of our friend and guest of the show David HaLevy for writing and performing the sound to our intro and outgoing music.  Check out the Ruach Guitar Facebook Page he makes by hand and plays as well as on Instagram.   We are very humbled and grateful for this personal touch to the show and cherish it greatly.   תודה David!
