A very special event that will raise money and awareness for the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association will take place in Cregmore Golf Club from the 4th to the 6th of September.  The event will be played in a Champagane Scramble Format and already has seen incredible interest with Saturday already sold out and limited spots on the Friday and Sunday.  Motor Neurone Disease (MND) is a progressive neurological condition that attacks the motor neurones, or nerves, in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching the muscles, which leads to weakness and wasting. MND can affect how you walk, talk, eat, drink and breathe. However, not all symptoms necessarily happen to everyone and it is unlikely they will all develop at the same time, or in any specific order. The cause of MND is not known and sadly can strike people of all ages. There is also no cure. However, symptoms can be managed to help the person achieve the best possible quality of life. Sean Brennan is the organiser of the event and he spoke to George McDonagh on Over The Line.

One of the greatest ironies of the history of Soviet rule is that, for an officially atheistic state, those in the political police and in the Politburo devoted an enormous amount of time and attention to the question of religion. The Soviet government's policies toward religious institutions in the USSR, and toward religious institutions in the non-Communist world, reflected this, especially when it came to the Vatican and Catholic Churches, both the Latin and Byzantine Rite, in Soviet territory. The KGB and the Vatican consists of the transcripts of KGB records concerning the policies of the Soviet secret police towards the Vatican and the Catholic Church in the Communist world, transcripts provided by KGB archivist and defector Vasili Mitrokhin, from the Second Vatican Council to the election of John Paul II. Among the topics covered include how the Soviet regime viewed the efforts of John XXIII and Paul VI of reaching out to eastern side of the Iron Curtain, the experience of the Roman Catholic Church in Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic and the underground Greek Catholic Church in the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, the religious underground in the key cities of Leningrad and Moscow, and finally the election of John Paul II and its effect on the tumultuous events in Poland in the late 1970s and early 1980s. This valuable primary source collection also contains a historical introduction written by the translator, Sean Brennan, a professor of History at the University of Scranton. Allison Isidore is a Religious Studies Ph.D. student at the University of Iowa and is the Assistant Director for the American Catholic Historical Association. Her research interest is focused on the twentieth-century American Civil Rights Movement and the Catholic Church's response to racism and the participation of Catholic clergy, nuns, and laypeople in marches, sit-ins, and kneel-ins during the 1950s and 1960s. It takes a certain amount of self-awareness as an artist / designer to put the "look" of your creation aside and use your skills instead as a utilitarian tool for alignment, thinking and progress on the ideas. I also love the conversation at the end about the future of storytelling for innovation. Sean brings up some really cool ideas about using VR in human-centered design projects and the opportunities that are ahead for immersive storytelling for innovation.Continuum (now called EPAM)Deloitte DigitalSign up here for my FREE 3 day workshop series, May 10th-12thMy 5 week program, Storytelling for Innovation Accelerator

Slam the Gavel welcomes Pro Se Litigant, Sean Brennan to the show to discuss his case and why can't he see his son. Not only has Sean's Constitutional rights, civil rights, liberties, and human rights have been violated, so has his two year-old son.     He hasn't been able to have a relationship with his child except for a few visitation days. Sean has had three Court appointed attorneys that didn't help to protect his son, Gabriel. Legal abuse is being ensued by his soon to be ex wife and her father.     The Family Court has refused to subpoena her mental health records, for the safety and "well being" of his son. They wouldn't do it despite multiple attempts of Sean asking them. Even the Referee wouldn't order Face Time with his son. Sean drives three hours to see his son. However, he wasn't able to see his son in three months, due to Covid-19. He has had supervised visits, bringing his 74 year-old father with him.      Sean got to go down on Father's Day and see his now two year-old Son. However, he found himself arrested. Sean was treated so badly, even as a Type One Diabetic, he could have lost his life, handcuffed to a stretcher, on his way to the hospital. Asking  why he was there, the answer he received was, "You know that you have a protection order against you right?" Sean asked what was the violation?  The officer wouldn't tell him.      Upon his arrest, his father had told him that she was walking around with his child, and he was saying,  "Dada went in there. Why didn't he come and see me?"      Sean is looking for help to find an ADA/Civil Rights Attorney. In Sean's words,  "this isn't legal or moral what's happening to my son and myself."Support the show(https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)http://beentheregotout.com/https://monicaszymonik.mykajabi.com/Masterclass  USE CODE SLAM THE GAVEL PODCAST FOR 10% OFF THE COURSEhttp://www.dismantlingfamilycourtcorruption.com/Music by: mictechmusic@yahoo.comSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/maryannpetri)

What should you do at the scene of an accident? First, call 911. You always need documentation. Memories and stories change over time. The impartial, third-party account taken by an officer is critical. Information is still fresh in everyone's mind and this is your best chance to accurately document what happened. In this episode of the Accident Recovery Team podcast, Sean Brennan and Drew Steadman sit down to talk about documentation and all the other elements of accident scenes. Listen for advice on how to protect your health and future claim for damages. Police officers generally don't take pictures at the scene of an accident unless a fatality is involved. If you are medically able, take pictures and videos of the scene. Down the road, these images provide undisputed evidence. Up close and far away views are both helpful. After an accident is cleared, there is no way to recreate it. If you are able, take a couple minutes and capture pictures and video from the scene. Refusing evaluation, treatment and transportation to the hospital after an accident can damage your health and your future insurance claim. Don't worry about the ambulance bill. Tune in to the Accident Recovery Team podcast on PIP coverage for information about auto insurance benefits that will cover this bill. After an accident, the Accident Recovery Team recommends being honest, documenting with pictures and following the advice of medical professionals on the scene.
