Today we discuss the recent proposal by the US Treasury Department to close a major tax loophole for wealthy taxpayers, aiming to raise $50 billion over the next decade. He emphasizes the importance of understanding the true impact of such policies and the division they create among citizens. Ridgeway critiques the government's approach and encourages listeners to seek financial wisdom and unity in their Christian faith.Understanding Tax Loopholes:The US Treasury's proposal targets the practice of partnership bias shifting, where assets are moved among related parties to avoid taxes. This method has become common due to years of underfunding the IRS, resulting in less oversight of wealthy individuals. By closing this loophole, the government hopes to raise significant revenue, but it also highlights the imbalance in tax audits focused more on the average citizen.Division and Hierarchy:Drawing parallels with the Willie Lynch letter, Ridgeway discusses how division and hierarchy are used to control and manipulate. He warns against falling into the trap of viewing the wealthy as enemies and stresses that such divisions distract from addressing the real issues. Unity and understanding are key to overcoming these societal divides.Christian Perspective on Wealth:As Christians, Ridgeway urges listeners to consider how they view wealth and taxes. He emphasizes that being rich in spirit and righteous in action should be the focus, rather than harboring resentment towards the wealthy. Understanding and compassion are essential in navigating financial and social issues.Taking Advantage of Legal Tax Strategies:Ridgeway highlights the importance of utilizing legal tax strategies, such as contributing to IRAs and 401(k)s, to reduce taxable income and save money. These strategies are available to everyone, not just the wealthy. He encourages listeners to educate themselves or consult professionals to maximize their financial benefits and ensure they are not unfairly burdened by taxes.Quotes"The government wants you to believe the wealthy are the enemy, but in reality, the real issue is how the government misappropriates the taxes they collect.""We are in an era of tribalism where if you are not like us, you are the enemy. And I am pretty much sick of it.""As Christians, we need to focus on being rich in spirit and righteous in action. There is only one side that matters—God's side."

Kendrick Lamar and Drake's competitive nature and razor-sharp lyrics have mesmerized us, there is more to this rivalry than meets the eye. Their speaks volumes of the parallels between the divisive tactics outlined in the Willie Lynch letter and the dynamics of conflict and competition in the rap industry. Fear, envy and distrust. Both the letter and the rap industry thrive on the manipulation of people, pitting them against each other, all in the pursuit of control and power. In this episode, we will discuss the impact Willie Lynch and the lyrical divide between these two rappers and its impact on the Black community.

Is the infamous Willie Lynch speech real? Langston and David talk it out with Rochée Jeffrey (Yes, We Cannabis from Audible) about this legendary conspiracy theory. What are the implications of this letter? Was it meant to control the Black community or just pit us against each other? Ultimately, the letter is a hoax but we explore the emotional truth to it and what it means to the community who is under constant scrutiny. Plus, the three pick their favorite stereotypes of Black people and briefly talk about Langston's Cam'ron inspired hoodie and David's barbershop visit. BLK ODYSSY - COMPLEX OF KILLING A MAN (feat. Baby Rose) from the 2022 album BLK VINTAGE: THE REPRISE on BLK ODYSSY / EMPIRE. BLK ODYSSY aka Juwan Elcock is a dynamic artist who nixed his former Americana sound for a soul-infused hip hop solo project. The Austin-based musician dropped his debut album BLK VINTAGE under the moniker in August of 2021 and, after the record slowly caught fire for its rich jazzy soundscapes and deeply personal and political lyrics about the plight of Black Americanhood, is now following it up with the deluxe edition BLK VINTAGE REPRISE. One of the new tracks to be included is “COMPLEX OF KILLING A MAN.” With Grammy-nominated R&B singer Baby Rose adding her lush vocals, the song is a downtempo slow burner with heated lyrics about being caught in a culture of violence and oppression with seemingly no way out. “What's the complex of killing a man?/ Can't help but think that this scenario's part of a plan/ That's word to Willie Lynch and Uncle Sam.” The story is one that hits close to home for Elcock, as his brother was killed at the hands of police offivers when living in New Jersey. With that in mind, the chorus of “Ghetto child, ghetto child/ Running wild, running wild/ This Glock gon' change your ways/ So count your days” hits especially hard. All year long, well the last 2 years especially, there's been an increase on the educating of black history month. The REAL history. The injustice that goes back to slavery. The facts of killings done by the white man with no punishment to them. We were once in a lifetime where a killing or rape of someone of the melanin was celebrated and rewarded. They started to get really comfortable but according to the Willie Lynch letter their time is up. Willie created a formula and a prediction that we will be under slavery for 300 plus years. We may not have the chains and auctions but we're still chained and being auctioned if you understand. We have to continue to stand on what's right and stop the injustice from continuing. Continue to learn the history, learn your rights, and speak the truth. Our skin is just a powerful weapon of intimidation. Imagine that combined with the backing of knowing our facts! Karen is not new. White women have been bringing out their inner Karen for a LOT longer than you might think. So where exactly did Karen come from? In this episode, we're joined by our guest Crystal Lynese, a DEI advocate whose work emphasizes Karens' particular brand of oppression, to share with us the historical origins of Karen, what being a Karen REALLY means, and the importance of changing Karen behaviors so that Black and Brown people can live in peace. We're exploring: How Crystal was impacted by racial trauma in her hometown (and why this sparked her DEI activism) The original Karen and her impact on the civil rights movement as we know it What it means for Black women to be at the intersection of race and gender The fence Karen straddles Crystal's TOP TIPS for recognizing your own Karen behaviors and how to put them in check The ONE belief that has to stop in order to truly dismantle white supremacy, racism and the patriarchy Why white men don't need to Karen How and why Black bodies have historically been used a currency and commodity, and how this has protected white women Why white supremacy hurts EVERYBODY—not just POC Crystal's traumatic first experience as a young woman being profiled by the police What still needs to happen for Black people to be TRULY free And so much more! My Sippers! Wass Tea? Let's talk about the "history" of the US. What's the truth? Who discovered the states? Who invented light? Who was the first woman recognized in a civil right movement? We were all taught what they wanted us to believe. If you haven't done so yet, do it now, look into the Willie Lynch letter. Where he created a "formula" to make us HATE one another, where he had melanin against melanin. We must JOIN forces TOGETHER in order to really over take our thrones back. Fix our crowns and play the roles as Kings & Queens. They are scared of finding out the TRUTH not about unifying. Start to include meditation in your every routine, just like brushing your teeth and washing your face. Assignment for the week: Write yourself a letter to your younger self. With the same pain and disappoint you feel now, what advice can you give your younger self? This episode was inspired by the the black lives matter movement and the attempt of another hashtag to alienate the movement. It's about togetherness and equality, I recently listened to a podcast called the D, they spoke about Willie Lynch and it also inspired me to do some more research upon doing my own bit of research the dots started to connect more and I started to really realize why black unity through #blacklivesmatter was so frightening to those who want us divided so they could rule and conquer like Willie Lynch. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/razzi/support
