If you're somewhere between breaking down and breaking through—this episode is for you! In this episode of Tami Talks: Unscripted Healing, Tami sits down with her Bestie and Soul Sister, Brittany, to explore the raw, unfiltered journey of emotional growth, midlife transitions, and learning to love our mess. From a dietitian who needed to reset her own health to a counselor who realized she needed therapy, this episode dives into the heart of what it means to release guilt and shame around our stories. Together, Tami and Brittany unpack the emotional layers of midlife "crisis" (or awakening), the freedom in vulnerability, and how true healing begins when we stop trying to fix everything and start feeling everything. They discuss how to process anger, redefine success, support other women without feeling like a burden, and hold space without becoming the “fixer.” The episode also explores spiritual signs, intuitive nudges, and the importance of safe spaces where hard conversations aren't just normalized—they're necessary. In this episode of Soul Sisters, hosts Elise and Alice discuss their highlights, challenges, and key learnings from the year, covering personal anecdotes and reflections on running and life. It gets bit deep, reflective and vulnerable, actually! But the conversation is still never too far from a ridiculous detour about sporks, etc. The team also discuss holiday plans, including the Grinch's (Alice's) strong opinions on snowy Christmas decorations that don't make sense for the southern hemisphere. They review the recent On Track Nights: Zatopek 10k meet and finish answering a few listener questions and proffering a couple of Christmas gifts to you (recommendations). Finally, thanks to all the listeners for your support this year! You've been an absolute dream! We'll see you in 2025. xox

Holly's journey began in a poverty-stricken family in Delaware, where she became the first in her extended family to attend college, earning a full scholarship to Liberty University. After graduating with a degree in Biblical Studies and receiving the Horatio Alger scholarship, she initially aspired to be a missionary but later navigated a 20-year marriage that ended amicably. Embracing various roles, Holly found her true passion in empowering women and fostering communities that combat loneliness. Through social media, she helps women navigate relationships and promotes self-love, drawing from her extensive personal growth journey. Now living on a farm near Charlotte, North Carolina, she leads a women's group called Soul Sisters, connecting women in support and sisterhood.Navigating Love and Self-Discovery: An Empowering JourneyIf you follow relationship and dating coaches on any of the social media platforms, then you'll have come across @Hope with Holly, who delivers straight talking, b******t-free advice, mainly based on her own experience from a restrictive upbringing in a Christian cult to the often chaotic world of modern dating. Holly's experiences are a testament to the complexities of love, intimacy, and self-discovery, and I could have talked to her for hours! From Restriction to LiberationHolly's background undeniably shaped her views on sex and relationships. She experienced sex for the first time on the first night of her wedding. Growing up in a cult environment, she faced strict limitations that impacted her understanding of intimacy and it was fascinating to hear how she has transformed those early lessons into a journey of exploration and empowerment that has led her to become the superstar she is today. The Role of Emotional IntelligenceOne of the most striking points Holly made was about the critical importance of emotional intelligence in dating. Relationships are not just about chemistry; they require a deep understanding of oneself and one's partner. Communication about sexual preferences is essential for building fulfilling connections. “You can teach a good man to be a good lover,” she reminded us, highlighting the importance of sharing desires openly. The Dating App DilemmaWe also discussed the wild west world of dating apps. While they can sometimes feel like a “dumpster fire,” they also offer opportunities for connection - once you know what you want. Holly shared her very amusing anecdotes, navigating the ups and downs with these platforms, and highlighting the need for patience, resilience and, above all, knowing what you want and sticking to your guns until you find a suitable partner.Friendship as a FoundationWe touched on the idea that friendship can serve as a strong foundation for romantic relationships. Situationships, while often complicated, can provide valuable insights into compatibility and what we truly desire in a partner. Compromise, as Holly emphasised, is key to navigating these particular types of relationships.Redefining Societal ExpectationsThroughout our conversation, we acknowledged how societal expectations can limit personal happiness. Women, in particular, should feel empowered to express their desires and understand what they want in relationships. Physical connection is essential for emotional well-being, and for Holly, that meant holding off on intimacy until she had established a genuine connection with her partner. On this episode, I sit down with my incredible friend, Alica Preetz, during our trip to Greece to talk all about the real and raw side of female friendships. We open up about the highs and lows, how we've supported each other through different seasons of life and business, and the ways our friendship has deepened over time. We talk about what it really means to not only have an incredible friend, but to be an incredible friend, and the importance of nurturing these special connections. This one is close to our hearts, and we hope it resonates with you too.The questions we ask each other:How did you two meet and when did you realize your friendship was something special? How would you describe me to a stranger? Have you ever felt threatened by each others success or happiness? What role do female friendships play in navigating the entrepreneurial worldWhat do you think our most important similarity is? What fears or beliefs do you think keep women from fully trusting each other and competing with each other in friendships? How do you handle moments when one of you is experiencing a big business win and the other is experiencing a setback? How does one earn your vulnerability? Have I earned it? How do you navigate feelings of competition or comparison with women who are supposed to be your friends? What advice would you have for women looking to cultivate supporting, nourishing, soul sister type of friendships? What do you admire most about me? In 2008 I started a series of radio shows with fellow Freak and host, Jonny Rock. The original format was based around vinyl. Digital started to creep in, then CD's, then YouTube rips, and so on. But the idea remained the same, that we were sharing our discoveries with an audience.Fast forwarding a couple of years and expanding on the original concept, I will once again be playing dance music that you may or may not have heard, but this time said music will be readily available, if pointed in the right direction of course. The idea is for you to use me as your selector slash shop assistant in a virtual record store. Not only will I be shouting about both old and new music, but I will also be following it up with a series of compilations to be released on my label, Classic throughout the year. I will be your slightly odd, slightly off-centre, guide. But ultimately and most importantly, your friendly on-line record shop assistant. Hey Fuller House Fans, Angela Bowen here, the host of Oh Mylanta Holy Chalupas: An Unofficial Full House Fuller House Podcast. Today I covered, S3E11: Troller Coaster which aired on December 22, 2017. In this episode Ramona reconsiders her future, while Max tempts fate on the "Troller Coaster". I thought this was a fun and enjoyable episode. Max conquering his fear on the amusement park ride and Jackson ends up being the scaredy cat. DJ and Steve try to find out where their relationship is headed after the non wedding disaster in Japan. and I also covered S3E15: Soul Sisters, in this episode Stephanie and Kimmy try and connect, while DJ has a "diddily" day. Max and Jackson broke a classic statue in the living room, and get Ramona to Help with repairs. Fernando buys something awesome for Tommy. This episode was fun and adorable. I loved Stephanie and Kimmy bonding and the kids helping each other repair the statue. Have a great week and I hope you enjoy the podcast episode.
