A quieter couple of weeks in boxing give Lukasz the chance to dive into a special episode. This time, we take a look at (to coin a phrase) 'hidden fundamentals': some things all boxers should (ideally) know and train, but that punditry and analysis seems to often overlook. Bam with a bang! Jesse “Bam” Rodiguez is truly establishing himself a star in boxing. We'll talk his stoppage win over Srisaket Sor Rungvisai and if he should stay or go back down in weight. Also on tap Mikey's Retirement Another Fury can't fly Teofimo's return set
THE publicity campaign for the Oleksandr Usyk-Anthony Joshua rematch has started. What, if anything, can we take from the early vocal exchanges and will the result of fight two be any different to fight one?Though the rematch is a welcome one, the setting of Saudi Arabia is certain to create controversy. Should we simply turn a blind eye to the setting? Also on the agenda is the emergence of a potential superstar. ‘Bam' Rodriguez was in sumptuous form as he hammered Srisaket Sor Rungvisai in eight rounds. What a showing!Last but not least, we look back on the Evander Holyfield vs Mike Tyson sequel that ended with an infamous ear bite. Please rate, review and subscribe. Between Saul "Canelo" Alvarez vs Gennady Golovkin and last week's #SuperFly card, boxing fans had had it made in the last week or so. The over-saturation of the recent Mayweather-McGregor mockery stole all the attention from the boxing that mattered, unfortunately, but it won't keep dedicated fans from recognizing what's important. We've lusted after this Canelo-Golovkin pairing for a while now, and the middleweight clash has all the potential in the world. All that's left now is to sit back and enjoy -- after listening to this episode! But wait! There's more: we would be awful people if we didn't sing the praises of Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, Roman Gonzalez, Naoya Inoue, Antonio Nieves, Juan Francisco Estrada and Carlos Cuadras. They all contributed to a fine HBO card last weekend and it needs to be said. Join author/filmmaker Brin-Jonathan Butler and boxing historian Patrick Connor as they run this all down this week on Knuckles and Gloves Boxing Radio. Follow us on Twitter! Every so often in boxing we're shown that the invincible are beatable, and we see how easy it is for heroes to be knocked off their perches. Last weekend both Gennady Golovkin and Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez lost a little bit of their shine on HBO Pay-Per-View against Daniel Jacobs and Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, respectively. Golovkin, who narrowly beat Jacobs despite clearly having difficulty, was knocked down a peg in public opinion following a less-than-brutish performance. Whether or not he should be is a different story, but when the unexpected happens... In the co-feature, Sor Rungvisai managed to push around and out-muscle Gonzalez, the former pound-for-pound king. It was a close fight, but one many felt Gonzalez won. This week on Knuckles and Gloves Boxing Radio, author and filmmaker Brin-Jonathan Butler and boxing writer/historian Patrick Connor team up to recap the PPV and more. Follow us on Twitter! HBO Boxing Insiders Eric Raskin and Kieran Mulvaney reflect on a spectacular night of boxing at Madison Square Garden that shook up the pound-for-pound rankings, with Gennady "GGG" Golovkin edging Daniel Jacobs over the distance and Srisaket Sor Rungvisai shocking Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez by controversial decision. Both bouts will be replayed on HBO on Saturday, March 25 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

There's plenty of boxing on tap to keep boxing fans and media busy, but the first order of business this weekend is the middleweight skirmish between Gennady Golovkin vs Daniel Jacobs. For some, this fight represents the first time Golovin has faced a puncher skilled enough to meet the Kazakh's fire with fire of his own. But others believe Jacobs will wind up simply becoming another victim of Golovkin's ferocity. Though it may not be deserving of Pay-Per-View, it's a competitive fight on paper and will almost certainly end early. It may be worth spending a few clams to catch Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez in action, however, as he takes on Srisaket Sor Rungvisai on the PPV undercard. But also on the menu for Brin-Jonathan Butler and Patrick Connor is the awful knockout David Lemieux scored on Curtis Stevens last weekend. Follow us on Twitter!
