Welcome to Multiverse News, Your source for Information about all your favorite fictional universes. During our previous coverage of the much discussed Variety article assessing the state of the MCU, one of the key takeaways was the supposed, fast-tracked plan to reunite the original Avengers line-up onscreen. Despite Variety's insider sources, this is apparently not the case, as both Captain America, Chris Evans, and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige cast doubts on the possibility in separate statements last week. Feige addressed Robert Downey, Jr.'s Iron Man specifically, speaking to the finality of the character's fate, while Evans expressed how protective he was over his own role. The Internet unleashed an absolute slew of trailers this week; we've tabulated a total of seven high profile trailer releases and have narrowed it down to the four we feel most deserving to be featured in this week's edition of Trailer Park: Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga The Boys Season 4 GTA VI Industry box office predictions for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom's domestic opening are not optimistic, with the last gasp of the floundering DCEU expected to pull in a mere $40 million over the 4-day holiday weekend. Warner Bros' own projections are slightly more generous at $50 million. With that over/under, it's almost as if they knew about our little wager here. Chris Evans wasn't the only Avengers actor to go on record about his protectiveness and ownership of his role; speaking with Collider, Tom Holland indicated while conversations about another Spider-Man film were in the works, he wouldn't be returning to the role just for the sake of it. Eli Roth is working on a follow-up to his holiday-slasher, Thanksgiving, which has earned more than $30 million worldwide. The sequel is scheduled for release in 2025. Warner Brothers is developing a new spinoff of The Big Bang Theory. Although specifics about the setting or characters are not available yet, Chuck Lorre, the show's original creator, will be involved. The unveiling of the WandaVision box set has brought forth a sneak peek into the behind-the-scenes-making of Agatha Darkhold Diaries. The special features contain cast interviews, glimpses from the series production, and exclusive deleted scenes from WandaVision. Amazon has unveiled the initial glimpse of Fallout, an upcoming show inspired by the immensely popular video game series. Featuring Walton Goggins, the series is slated to premiere on Prime on April 12, 2024. HBO revealed the first trailer for Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon Season 2. The eight episode series will debut on Max next summer. Paramount+ has released its first trailer for season 2 of Halo, the series based on the video game franchise. The series will debut on February 8, 2024. HBO also premiered a trailer for the fourth season of its anthology crime series, True Detective. Jodie Foster and Kali Reis portray detectives with troubled pasts, delving into the vanishing of eight scientists from an Arctic research base during the months of sunlight deprivation in Alaska. Robert Downey, Jr. said, during his Variety Actors on Actors interview with fellow Avenger Mark Ruffalo, “I hate it when people poo poo a genre, because they're all hard and they're all high art when they're done well.” Downey, Jr. and Ruffalo mainly discussed their 2023 projects Oppenheimer and Poor Things, respectively. The Spider-Man Noir series in the works at Prime has added The Punisher's Steve Lightfoot as showrunner. As previously reported in February, the untitled live action series will follow an older, grizzled superhero in 1930s New York City. An individual with knowledge of the project says that the show will be set in its own universe and the main character will not be Peter Parker.

This episode was recorded in May 2020, but then the Everything happened and I didn't get around to editing it until just now. Apologies! Please enjoy. Episode: Digestivo Written by: Steve Lightfoot and Bryan Fuller Directed by: Adam Kane Aired: July 18, 2015 Featuring: Lindsey's fussy baby, who was teething; me, dying because bondage; pigs eating pigs eating pigs all the way down. Content warning because, in addition to the obvious cannibalism, we get into quite a bit of cow-sperm talk and the episode contains a stillbirth.

While the future of Marvel Netflix's The Punisher remains to be seen, that hasn't stopped showrunner Steve Lightfoot from staying optimistic about continuing the journey of Frank Castle. Lightfoot is currently the showrunner of The Punisher, which is now entering its second season, and also has made notable contributions as a writer and producer on NBC's Hannibal and Netflix's Narcos. I recently spoke with Lightfoot about Season 2 of The Punisher in which he gave some insight into the direction the team would want to take Frank next season and when asked if a Season 3 was happening Lightfoot said the following, "I'd love to do it. I'll do this show as long as people ask me to. Beyond that, I don't know." The Punisher Season 2 finds Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal) on a journey of self-discovery as he comes to terms with taking on the mantle of The Punisher while cleaning up the aftermath his actions caused in Season 1. After saving a girl (Giorgia Whigham) who's being hunted down by a religious assassin, Frank transitions from being a man haunted by grief, hell-bent on revenge, to a vigilante with a code. During our conversation, we not only discussed the possibility of a third season, but Frank's transformation as a character, Lightfoot's inspiration for some of his favorite action set pieces, and which villains he'd like to integrate into the show next to which the showrunner responded, "I've always loved Barracuda. I'd love to find a place to play with that character because I think he's just a force of nature and funny. Just simply, because I'm such a fan of the actor, it'd be great to tangle with the Kingpin…the idea of pitting Jon against Vincent D'Onofrio for a season would wildly excite me." Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin vs. Bernthal's Punisher? Here's hoping Marvel and Netflix keep The Punisher alive for the possibility of showdown alone. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/theplaylist/message
The program all about TV. Our guests: Steve Lightfoot, executive producer of The Punisher, which started its second Netflix season January 18, and Fionna Agomuoh, founder and editor-in-chief of the popular Web blog Techie Supreme.
Victory To The Light! Today we get trapped on a plane with a rotting man, go on a journey with the Resistance of Light to their underground bunker, and we got something very cool in the mail! First off, we discuss an unfortunate incident of a Russian rock star, Andrey Suchilin, who was infected with a flesh rotting disease and hopped on a place to head home. But once his skin began to rot on the plane, the passengers had no escape from the putrid smell. They even tried locking him in the restroom but the scent still lingered in the air. Then we take another look at the Resistance of Light and their “Entry Protocols.” Want to join them in their fight against otherworldly space demons? Be prepared at any time to disappear from the face of the Earth and down a secret passage into the underground where you will be asked to take off your clothes if you want to join them. No, not kidding. And finally, I got my copy of the “Stephen King Shot John Lennon” newsletter from Steve Lightfoot! We covered this conspiracy back in Eps 5 and 6 but I;ve been a fan of this theory for years. Please, If you are a fan of conspiracy theories you HAVE to buy this. Words do not describe how amazing it is. Well, they will when I do a full episode on it soon but for now, buy your copy at www.LennonMurderTruth.com Links: Passenger Dies After Plane Is Forced To Divert To Portugal Due To Horrific Smell Caused By His Flesh-Eating Disease That Made Other Travelers Vomit http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5891339/Man-dies-plane-diverts-Portugal-horrific-smell-caused-flesh-eating-disease.html Buy Your Ordinary Rock . . . The band's back together! Sam's back from new-baby intensiveness, just in time for a festive episode for the end of the year — and it's a film which may or may not (don't mention that Bruce Willis film) be a Christmas movie: LOVE ACTUALLY. Rob was expecting more negativity from Sam — maybe fatherhood has mellowed him — but we're both broadly positive about the film; notwithstanding its faults, which we discuss towards the end of the episode, along racial and gender lines. Jon Bernthal returns to the role of Frank Castle aka The Punisher for his solo series. Marvel's Netflix shows have run the gamut of quality and I am happy to say that 'The Punisher' has now climbed to the top of my list. Taking on the story of a murdering sociopath anti-hero isn't an easy task but showrunner/executive producer Steve Lightfoot seemingly handled it with ease. The Punisher focuses on Frank Castle months after the events of Daredevil Season 2, in which he is believed to be dead. However, he works in the shadows taking down mobsters, violent thugs, etc until he comes across a bit of evidence that reopens some emotional wounds from his time doing spec ops work in Afghanistan. His spec ops work might just be the key to understanding what happened to his wife and kids, and perhaps tells us more about Frank Castle the man in the end.
