Your clean tallow-based sunscreen could be attracting sharks and damaging pool filtration systems. In today's Ask Me Anything episode, I'm answering a question that's been flooding my DMs since I shared my thoughts on tallow-based sunscreens while at the beach in San Diego. While I absolutely love PrimallyPure's new regenerative, organic tallow-based SPF for hiking and outdoor activities, there are two specific situations where I wouldn't use this type of sunscreen.First, let's talk about the ocean. Sharks have an incredible sense of smell, especially when it comes to animal fats. During shark season when great whites migrate past the California coast, the last thing I want to do is slather myself in tallow and go surfing at dawn or dusk when attacks are more likely. Yes, shark attacks are rare, but why take an unnecessary risk when there are plenty of other clean mineral sunscreen options? The second issue is chlorinated pools. Tallow is not water-soluble, so it separates from pool water, floats on top, and accumulates in filtration systems and piping, just like pouring cooking oil down your drain. This can seriously damage pool equipment and interfere with chlorine's ability to sanitize the water, creating a breeding ground for bacteria. Whether it's a public pool or your own backyard, tallow-based sunscreens and chlorinated water don't mix.In today's episode, we're chatting about: • Why sharks are attracted to animal fats and when this matters most • How tallow sunscreens can damage pool filtration systems and piping • The difference between regenerative organic tallow and commercial tallow • When tallow-based sunscreens are actually perfect (hiking, laying out, outdoor activities) • Why sourcing matters when choosing animal fat-based skincare productsGet 20% off Aizome sheets with code WENDYShop the 2025 Clean Sunscreen GuideFree: Top 25 Toxins to AvoidGet on the Toxin Free in 3 Waiting List
Your "all mineral" sunscreen might be lying to you, and the loophole manufacturers are using is completely legal. In this short but crucial episode, I'm exposing a sneaky sunscreen ingredient called butyloctyl salicylate that's being slipped into mineral sunscreens. Still, these products are still allowed to market themselves as "all mineral!" This chemical UV filter doesn't have to be listed in the active ingredients section, so it's hiding in plain sight in the inactive ingredients list, and most people have no idea it's there. The truth is, if you've been diligently checking only the active ingredients section like I've taught you before, you're missing this toxic ingredient that's basically the same as octisalate, which is already on my avoid list for being an endocrine disruptor. Now you need to check both the active AND inactive ingredients sections to make sure you're getting truly clean sun protection. In today's episode, we're chatting about: • Why butyloctyl salicylate is just octisalate in disguise • How manufacturers are convincing brands to use this sneaky ingredient • Why checking only active ingredients isn't enough anymore • My updated 2025 sunscreen guide with truly clean optionsEPISODE RESOURCESShop the 2025 Clean Sunscreen GuideGet 10% off Wyld Notes with code WENDY10Free: Top 25 Toxins to AvoidGet on the Toxin Free in 3 Waiting List

It's claimed the HSE has failed to allocate enough home care workers to Clare. New figures from the Health Service Executive show this county has the greatest number of people with disabilities and older people waiting for home care supports in the MidWest, with 348 on the list in total. Despite this, 37% of all home care hours in the region were delivered in Clare last year, with 32% in North Tipperary and 31% in Limerick. There has been a near 200% increase in the number of children waiting over one year for initial speech and language therapy in the last three years. The figures, which were compiled by the Labour Party, also reveal a 170% rise in the numbers waiting over a year for psychology support in the same period. Meanwhile, Labour's comparative analysis shows that the increase in the number of staff providing therapeutic support has been a fraction of the almost two-fold jump in demand for therapies and services. LIKE, WHOA. Been feeling it? We are amongst a celestial shift as we embrace transformation in the coming months. I KNOW! It feels like we've been saying this for the last 3 years! We live in a constant subconscious state of seeking of balance, always in a feedback loop of potential to form (energetically). You are the highest and most advanced species on the planet that is adaptable. You can live in vastly different environments and when faced with unpleasant circumstances, your role is to harmonize with reality, not fight against it.The Dao or "the way" refers to being in harmony with reality as it is, without trying to resist or control the uncontrollable. This is akin to the idea of "dying to be reborn" that Christ spoke of - shedding the limited, egoic self in order to discover the expansive essence of who we are. When we let go of constantly trying to make things fit our preferences, we find that there is nothing fundamentally wrong with us - it's how we react. Each of us are capable of dwelling in a state of harmony and acceptance.I think you'd agree. So with that as a opening…..Oh…real quick, a PSA: I am about to launch a NEW One-of-a-Kind Intuitive guide taht merges your natal birth chart and 12 month personal transit reading with a simplified Human Design decoder to align with your higher soul in the coming months. Instead, create an experience by stepping out of the story from time to time to make teaching points. Show Notes: 7 Tips to Become a Better Speaker #7 - Record Everything Any time you get the opportunity to speak, especially early in your career as a speaker, record it. Preferably a video recording. But at minimum, get an audio recording. Why? Because nothing will help you improve as a speaker than seeing and hearing yourself speak. PERIOD. Here are two quick thoughts... First, be prepared because watching yourself present can be brutal, especially early on. So give yourself some grace and realize your speaking is a work in progress. And most importantly, don't give up. Everything worth doing is worth doing poorly at first. Second, don't make recording complicated or distracting. Just set up your smartphone on a table or tripod and hit record. Or have someone else take care of the recording for you. Bottom line, if you make things too complicated, you won't do it. And if it's too distracting, you won't be focused on your presentation. I hope these 7 simple tips for becoming a better speaker have been helpful. Saara Snellman has succeeded where many other CrossFit affiliate owners have failed: CrossFit Kreis 9 in Zurich, Switzerland, has 340 members and generates most of its revenue through group classes. While many gym owners struggle to acquire and maintain 150 members, Saara loses only 10 of 340 members a month. To replace them, she just goes to her waiting list—so her marketing costs are $0. This model was once the ideal for many affiliate owners, but gyms like Saara's are rare in the market because they must be well-oiled machines with airtight business systems. Only a very skilled entrepreneur can build a coaching gym that can handle more than 300 members.Saara's reward for building this incredible business: She took a spot on Two-Brain's March leaderboard for net owner benefit (NOB): earnings, dividends and any other perks the owner receives.Based on rolling three-month averages, our Top 10 earners take home anywhere from $16,215 to $37,935 USD per month. This is not top-line revenue; it's owner earnings. One of the secrets to Saara's success is boosting average revenue per member (ARM) with hybrid memberships—offering personal training to group-class members to help them reach specific goals. A few other secrets: Saara has A+ business systems and an impeccable retention plan. You don't need 340 group members to earn more than $100,000 a year. But if you do plan to pursue the large-group model, you'll want Saara's insight and the help of an expert mentor.LinksGym Owners UnitedBook a Call 1:15 - Success and avoiding failure6:33 - Group, personal training or both?10:55 - Big things that made a big difference15:56 - Mentorship helps your number move20:38 - Getting former clients back
