LIKE, WHOA. Been feeling it? We are amongst a celestial shift as we embrace transformation in the coming months. I KNOW! It feels like we've been saying this for the last 3 years! We live in a constant subconscious state of seeking of balance, always in a feedback loop of potential to form (energetically). You are the highest and most advanced species on the planet that is adaptable. You can live in vastly different environments and when faced with unpleasant circumstances, your role is to harmonize with reality, not fight against it.The Dao or "the way" refers to being in harmony with reality as it is, without trying to resist or control the uncontrollable. This is akin to the idea of "dying to be reborn" that Christ spoke of - shedding the limited, egoic self in order to discover the expansive essence of who we are. When we let go of constantly trying to make things fit our preferences, we find that there is nothing fundamentally wrong with us - it's how we react. Each of us are capable of dwelling in a state of harmony and acceptance.I think you'd agree. So with that as a opening…..Oh…real quick, a PSA: I am about to launch a NEW One-of-a-Kind Intuitive guide taht merges your natal birth chart and 12 month personal transit reading with a simplified Human Design decoder to align with your higher soul in the coming months. It's purpose is to explore your purpose and steady wisdom that come from aligning you with your true inherent gifts to move forward in life with grace and clarity.WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE SONG IN THE STARS: We're on the cusp of something truly celestial, a time of profound energy and change that's unfolding over the next three months. The astrological currents sweeping in are intense, powerful, and deeply significant—especially for our nation.Today, I want to share an uplifting perspective on what's ahead, focusing on the cosmic dance of planets and the opportunities they bring.Across the world of astrology, interpretations may vary, but one thing is clear: we're in a moment of planetary returns and energetic shifts that began years ago and are now sharpening into focus.Right now, we're seeing densities arrive, inviting us to tune into the present while preparing for what's coming astrologically in the days, weeks, and months ahead.

Great speakers tell fewer, more strategic stories that are more impactful. If your presentation revolves around one story, don't just tell the story. Instead, create an experience by stepping out of the story from time to time to make teaching points. Lebanon County has waiting list for poll workers

As we are in an election year, there is a strong need for poll workers. The typical role of a poll worker includes showing up to the precincts at 6 a.m. on Election Day, set up the polls, help check people in to distribute the ballots, and overall make sure those ballots and voters are taken care of. Sean Drasher, Director of Lebanon County Board of Elections says the county has a waiting list for poll workers. “We always that waiting list is always there, but we're always churning through it. So, there are some years we've had a waiting list of 100 people waiting to get jobs. But then on when the election rolls around, we might have 20 openings and you start calling that waiting list, and all of a sudden, the first 20 people you call might have moved since they asked to work or they're not available, they're already scheduled for work on that election day, or they can't get childcare. So, you might get through those 100 people on the waiting list. You might get to number 50 before you find somebody that can jump into a role. So that we do have a waiting list. We're very blessed or I'm very proud of our citizens here, but I don't want it to sound like that means we can't constantly be taking more volunteers because we really need to keep restocking that, “said Drasher. The Lebanon County Board of Elections also encourages college and high school students to get involved in volunteering and signing up to be poll workers. “We're trying to implement that in our district as well. It's a great opportunity for the kids. They for some of these kids, this is the first time they've ever had a job. And it's little skills. I think for us, it's. Hey, we need help signing people in on election day for these kids. They're learning, “said Drasher.      Support WITF: https://www.witf.org/support/give-now/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Show Notes: 7 Tips to Become a Better Speaker #7 - Record Everything Any time you get the opportunity to speak, especially early in your career as a speaker, record it. Preferably a video recording. But at minimum, get an audio recording. Why? Because nothing will help you improve as a speaker than seeing and hearing yourself speak. PERIOD. Here are two quick thoughts... First, be prepared because watching yourself present can be brutal, especially early on. So give yourself some grace and realize your speaking is a work in progress. And most importantly, don't give up. Everything worth doing is worth doing poorly at first. Second, don't make recording complicated or distracting. Just set up your smartphone on a table or tripod and hit record. Or have someone else take care of the recording for you. Bottom line, if you make things too complicated, you won't do it. And if it's too distracting, you won't be focused on your presentation. I hope these 7 simple tips for becoming a better speaker have been helpful. For review, here they are one last time: #1 - Know Your Topic #2 - Capture New Ideas #3 - Get Your Reps In #4 - Focus on Serving #5 - Create an Experience for Your Audience #6 - Look People in the Eye When Speaking #7 - Record Everything Episode Resources 9 Ways to Get Paid as a Speaker (FREE Resource) 5 Keys to Create a Speech That Pays (FREE Resource) Got questions? Submit them here Thank You for Listening! Speaker Mastermind Community: Click here to find out more about the Paid to Speak Accelerator Community (aka Mastermind Community) and to put your name on our Waiting List. Show Notes: 7 Tips to Become a Better Speaker #6 - Look People in the Eye Why Is This Important? It helps you make personal connections with audience members. In fact, it's probably the simplest thing you can do to enhance the impact of your presentation and persuade audience members to your point of view. Why Is This Challenging? Looking into another person's eyes, especially when you're on stage talking to a group of people, just feels awkward. And if you're nervous, it feels even more awkward. How to Improve Your Eye Contact? Remember that you are speaking to individuals and not just a group. Find audience members who are engaged and are already looking at you. Sustain eye contact with each individual long enough to make a connection, then move on. Three to five seconds is usually a good guideline. Avoid looking at people who you can tell feel awkward with eye contact. That will feel more like a stare-down than eye contact. Be prepared. It's practically impossible to make eye contact when you're in your head trying to remember your presentation. Finally, here are the tips we've covered so far: #1 - Know Your Topic #2 - Capture New Ideas #3 - Get Your Reps In #4 - Focus on Serving #5 - Create an Experience for Your Audience Episode Resources 9 Ways to Get Paid as a Speaker (FREE Resource) 5 Keys to Create a Speech That Pays (FREE Resource) Got questions? Submit them here Thank You for Listening! Speaker Mastermind Community: Click here to find out more about the Paid to Speak Accelerator Community (aka Mastermind Community) and to put your name on our Waiting List. Show Notes: 7 Tips to Become a Better Speaker #5 - Create an Experience for Your Audience In the previous episodes of this series, I mentioned that if you want to serve your audience well, it's best to create a speech that is both enjoyable and educational. Yet the truth is that the vast majority of speakers today focus almost exclusively on delivering content. They might throw in a joke or two and maybe even share a short illustration, but most of the time, it's content, content, content. Have you ever sat through a 60 or 90-minute presentation that is all content? By the end, you probably feel like you've been sprayed with a firehose. What's worse is that you don't walk away remembering anything specific because anything worth remembering was crowded out by the rest of the content. It's just too much! So how can you avoid overwhelming your audience with straight content? Create an experience! If you want to become a better speaker, you need to realize that less in more when it comes to presenting. So instead of cramming more content into their presentations, they look for ways to make their content sticky (aka so memorable that it sticks with audiences after the presentation). In fact, instead of outlining their speech in the same way they would outline a research paper, they develop their speech like a scriptwriter storyboarding a movie. They ask themselves questions like: What is the one big idea that I want my audience to understand? How can I make that idea relevant? How can I make it come alive? Can I take the audience on a journey where they discover this idea for themselves? How can I create an experience that allows my audience to laugh or feel emotions along the way? Here's the bottom line... Don't just deliver content. Create an experience that is enjoyable, educational, and best of all, sticky. Saara Snellman has succeeded where many other CrossFit affiliate owners have failed: CrossFit Kreis 9 in Zurich, Switzerland, has 340 members and generates most of its revenue through group classes. While many gym owners struggle to acquire and maintain 150 members, Saara loses only 10 of 340 members a month. To replace them, she just goes to her waiting list—so her marketing costs are $0. This model was once the ideal for many affiliate owners, but gyms like Saara's are rare in the market because they must be well-oiled machines with airtight business systems. Only a very skilled entrepreneur can build a coaching gym that can handle more than 300 members.Saara's reward for building this incredible business: She took a spot on Two-Brain's March leaderboard for net owner benefit (NOB): earnings, dividends and any other perks the owner receives.Based on rolling three-month averages, our Top 10 earners take home anywhere from $16,215 to $37,935 USD per month. This is not top-line revenue; it's owner earnings. One of the secrets to Saara's success is boosting average revenue per member (ARM) with hybrid memberships—offering personal training to group-class members to help them reach specific goals. A few other secrets: Saara has A+ business systems and an impeccable retention plan. You don't need 340 group members to earn more than $100,000 a year. And nothing will destroy your speaking career quicker than breaking trust with decision-makers and/or audiences. So, if you want to become a better speaker, how do you build great relationships with decision-makers and audiences? Focus on serving! For decision-makers, be an easy speaker to work with. Make them look like a hero for hiring you. Deliver on your promises. And for audiences, create an experience that is both enjoyable and educational. Olia Hercules is a Ukrainian cook and author of the award-winning Mamushka cook book. Raised in rural Ukraine she later moved to London where she missed the fresh tastes of homegrown food. This led her to start the lengthy process of securing an allotment, which she says helps make a place feel like ‘home', particularly during times of war and displacement. Speaker Mastermind Community: Click here to find out more about the Paid to Speak Accelerator Community (aka Mastermind Community) and to put your name on our Waiting List. Show Notes: 7 Tips to Become a Better Speaker #3 - Get Your Reps In (AKA Practice) Practice starts with developing great content. Work hard on putting together a great presentation. Then, once you feel like your content is solid, practice the mechanics of how to deliver a great presentation. You can practice in front of the mirror or make a video recording of yourself...whatever works best for you. But here's something you won't hear from most speaking coaches or trainers... If you want to become a better speaker, do NOT practice to become more polished. Audiences can spot a fake a mile away. Instead, practice to become a better communicator who authentically cares about what you are presenting. You've been working hard to grow, learn, and develop as a Thought Leader in your area of expertise. So when you get the opportunity to speak to an audience, you don't want to come across as a fake, overly-polished presenter. Instead, you want to be a real person who is seen as passionate about the thoughts and ideas you are sharing. Or, to put it another way, you want to speak from the head and the heart. Believe it or not, this takes practice. Lots of practice. So while you never want to wing your presentation, you also don't want to be over-polished either. It takes practice to truly be yourself as a speaker. But...if you don't capture the ideas you discover, Tip #1 is useless. Years ago, someone gave me advice that was so simple, yet it has become one of the most important habits I practice as a speaker. Here's the advice: When You Think It, Ink It. Whenever I find something that fits my topic, I write it down immediately. But I don't just write it down. I make sure to save it in a place where I can find it later. For some people, that place is a journal or notebook. For me, it's Evernote. I have a speaking folder in Evernote where I capture all the ideas about my speaking topic that pop into my brain. (BTW, the main reason I like Evernote is it's much easier to search for what I've recorded than it is in a journal or notebook.) But no matter what system you use, never forget... When You Think It, Ink It.
