District Metals (TSX.V:DMX - OTCQB:DMXCF - Nasdaq First North:DMXSE SDB) has secured its largest financing to date - a fully subscribed $6 million private placement, priced at $0.27 per share under the LIFE (Listed Issuer Financing Exemption) offering. President and CEO Garrett Ainsworth joins me to provide insights into the raise, investor interest, and how this funding strengthens District's position heading into a critical phase of uranium exploration in Sweden. Key topics discussed include: The strategic nature of the raise, with ~$3M coming from a well-known but undisclosed investor group and the rest from Swedish family offices and funds. The financing's objective to expand the Nasdaq shareholder base and support near-term exploration across five Swedish uranium properties. Details on upcoming airborne geophysical and radiometric surveys, and the news flow expected this summer. Commentary on the pending judicial review and September vote to lift Sweden's uranium moratorium. Market reaction and strong demand: the financing was oversubscribed with $9M in interest and no warrants attached. Recap of the recent Viken resource estimate, the second-largest uranium resource globally. Upcoming catalyst: Judicial review of uranium moratorium legislation expected in May; Swedish Parliament vote in September 2025, airborne geophysics on the uranium projects. Garrett Ainsworth, President and CEO of District Metals (TSX.V:DMX - OTCQB:DMXCF - Nasdaq First North: DMXSE SDB) joins me for a full update on recent exploration results from the Stollberg Project, part of the company's partnership with Boliden in Sweden. The March 26th news highlighted five drill holes totaling 2,465 meters, including a standout intercept of 11 meters grading 5.8% Zn, 1.1% Pb, and 20 g/t Ag. This first-pass drill program hit wide, mineralized zones and successfully identified a new lens discovery in hole 154 - an untested area with no historical drilling. Downhole EM data has also revealed promising off-hole conductors to help vector future drilling. Additional targets remain open along strike and at depth, setting the stage for follow-up work in H2 2025. We also discuss the ongoing drill program at the Tomtebo Project, where drilling is underway. Looking ahead, District and Boliden plan to drill 7,000–8,000 meters across both projects this year, supported by a $3M CAD exploration budget. Additional drilling at Stollberg is planned for later this year across multiple target zones. On the uranium front, Garrett provides a progress update on the Swedish uranium moratorium, which is on track for a parliamentary vote this September. Legislative changes could take effect in January 2026, but confidence in the outcome has led District to resume work on its uranium assets, starting with an updated resource for the Viken deposit in Q2 and fieldwork across the portfolio this spring and summer. Kat speaks to one of the most positive people she has ever met, Nils Viken who is currently the Chief Revenue Officer at H5P Group AS. He talks to Kat about habits, how he sustains an excellent work-life balance in his career and how his positive mindset has contributed to this as well as his good mental health. He also shares his number one positive habit and why it works so well for him! KEY TAKEAWAYS Culturally, it is very socially acceptable to take time off in Norway, Nils has always taken four weeks in the summer. He recognises the importance of creating a balance between his home life and work. This has been challenged when working in global companies but still always something he has prioritised. Knowing he has this break with his family, is one of the highlights of his year and is a key component to his good mental health and his family's wellbeing and happiness. The UK has been scored as one of the lowest countries for mental wellbeing. One of the contributing factors to this was something called ‘lack of family bonds'. One of the differences between Norway and the UK is the financial security many families feel. Nil thinks that there is more pressure for people in the UK to ‘work hard' in order to achieve financial stability. Nil and his family make a conscious effort to not have phones out at dinner or nearby when socialising, to keep boundaries in place and create a good work-life balance. He also enforces certain times to be switched off from work. A positive mindset is the first step to creating more positive habits, if you see things as opportunities, it is much easier to find the positive in all situations. A positive attitude influences others, if you are a positive person that influences other peoples decision making which creates a positive spiral effect. Prioritise things that you enjoy, giving priority to the things that you like. If we aren't careful life passes us by without us spending time doing the things we love. Not everything you do has to have a purpose, it's important to keep the brain alive and active and a lot of that can just come from spending time simply on something we are interested in. Earlier in his career, Nil realised he didn't look after his sleep and the impact it had on his energy levels and performance. This is something he focuses on now. Having the confidence to say no to things and people that don't serve you or contribute to your life positively can have a transformative impact on your life. BEST MOMENTS “You need to allow yourself times to block things off” “You can email at all times but you can't expect a reply at all times” “You're one of the most positive people I have ever met and ever worked with” “When you see things as an opportunity you can almost always see something positive out of it” “Your positive attitude influences other people who make decisions” “A lot of people have great lives but it feels like groundhog day” ABOUT THE GUEST Nils Viken has an extensive career in sales and leadership roles, beginning in 1995 at Scala, Inc. and currently serving as the Chief Revenue Officer at H5P Group AS. Interview with Garrett Ainsworth, President & CEO of District Metals Corp. Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/district-metals-dmx-polymetallic-profile-reflecting-bergslagen-1575Recording date: 22 July 2024District Metals Corp (TSXV: DMX) is positioning itself as a key player in the potential resurgence of uranium mining in Sweden, a development that could have significant implications for Europe's energy security and the global uranium market. The company's flagship asset is the Viken deposit, recognized as the second-largest uranium deposit globally, containing over 1 billion pounds of uranium and 17 billion pounds of vanadium. The Viken project's strategic importance is underscored by its location in Sweden, a country currently reassessing its stance on nuclear energy. Sweden's center-right coalition government, which came to power in September 2022, has signaled a pro-nuclear stance and is considering lifting the country's uranium moratorium, potentially as soon as this fall. This shift in policy is driven by a combination of factors, including the need for energy security, rising energy costs, and public sentiment turning favorable towards nuclear power in the wake of recent geopolitical events.CEO Garrett Ainsworth emphasizes the changing landscape: "The main shift that happened is when Russia invaded Ukraine and energy prices went up. It's really turned the public's sentiment to being pro-nuclear." This shift could pave the way for District Metals to advance the Viken project, potentially positioning the company to play a crucial role in Europe's energy future. The Viken deposit's value proposition extends beyond uranium. Its polymetallic nature, including significant vanadium resources and other valuable metals like potash, could enhance the project's economics. The company plans to conduct an updated Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) once the uranium moratorium is lifted, focusing on a smaller-scale operation to improve social acceptance and reduce initial capital requirements. While detailed economic studies are pending, preliminary indications suggest potential for robust operating margins. Ainsworth points to a neighboring project's scoping study, which indicated potential for "$50 per ton" in operating margin. For investors, District Metals presents a high-risk, high-reward opportunity in the uranium sector. The company's current market capitalization of around $50 million suggests significant upside potential if the project advances successfully. Key catalysts to watch include the potential lifting of Sweden's uranium moratorium and subsequent project development milestones. However, investors should be aware of the risks. The project's advancement is heavily dependent on regulatory developments in Sweden. Additionally, the economic viability of the low-grade deposit needs to be confirmed through detailed studies, and the project will require significant capital investment to bring to production.District Metals' management team, including Ainsworth, brings valuable experience from previous successes in the uranium sector, which could be crucial in navigating the challenges ahead. In conclusion, District Metals offers investors exposure to a potentially world-class uranium asset at a time when nuclear energy is gaining renewed attention globally. The company's success is closely tied to Sweden's evolving energy policy and its ability to advance the Viken project effectively. For those willing to accept the risks inherent in early-stage resource development, District Metals represents an intriguing opportunity to participate in the potential revival of uranium mining in Europe.View District Metals' company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/district-metals-corpSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com
District Metals provides an update on their land position in Sweden, particularly the Viken deposit, which contains uranium, vanadium, and other metals. The lifting of the uranium moratorium in Sweden is being investigated, and there is a possibility that a proposed bill will go to parliament this fall. District Metals plans to update the preliminary economic assessment (PEA) on the Viken deposit to include vanadium and potash. They may also drill metallurgical holes and convert some inferred resources into indicated. District Metals is considering applying for a listing on the NASDAQ First North Growth Market in Sweden to increase liquidity and allow Swedish investors to participate. Assay results from the Tomtebo property are expected to be released soon.

Under medeltiden låg Norges viktigast stad, Kungahälla, i Bohuslän. Musik: Medieval World Video Game av Marius Serdan. Garrett Ainsworth of District Metals joins us for his corporate editorial comments on the latest news out of the company regarding the full consolidation of the Viken deposit in Sweden. Garrett discusses the technical importance of these final claims and the price tag it took to get the deal done. We also turn some attention to Tomtebo and their recently announced earn-in agreement with Boliden.
Yesterday, January 3rd, District Metals ("District" or the "Company") (TSX.V:DMX - OTCQB:DMXCF - FRA:DFPP) announced the Company has consolidated 100% of the Viken energy metals Deposit in Sweden by acquiring the remaining four mineral licenses. Garrett Ainsworth, President and CEO of District joins me to discuss the process of consolidating the Viken Deposit over the past couple years. I also have Garrett explain the size of the deposit, which is "the largest undeveloped Alum Shale uranium-vanadium-potash-molybdenum-nickel-copper-zinc deposit in Sweden" and the initial work plans fr this year. Now the Company holds a total of 5 uranium projects in Sweden. This brings up the question of the moratorium on uranium mining and exploration in Sweden that was imposed in 2018. Over the past year the Swedish government has discussed lifting the moratorium. To close out the interview I have Garrett provide an update on the Joint-Venture ("JV") with Boliden Mineral AB at the Tomtebo and Stollberg Projects. Initial work is expected to begin this month. If you have any follow up questions for Garrett please email me at Fleck@kereport.com. Click here to read over the yesterday's news release for the full details on the Viken Deposit.

Østfold fylke gjenoppstår 1. januar 2024! Hurra?
