In 1980, Norway's entry to the Eurovision Song Contest included a traditional Sami joik song from the country's indigenous community. It was the first time joiking was heard by an international audience. Möt Kathrine Nedrejord i samtal med Mats Jonsson på Internationell författarscen. Med den prisbelönta romanen "Sameproblemet" har den samiska författaren Kathrine Nedrejord skrivit en upprorisk familjeberättelse om samisk kultur, identitet och ett liv präglat av förtryck. Vinnare av Bragepriset 2024. Kathrine Nedrejord (född 1987) är en samisk författare och dramatiker med rötter i Kjøllefjord i norska Finnmark, men är sedan 2011 bosatt i Paris. I sitt författarskap har hon utforskat frågor om identitet, tillhörighet och trauma, ofta med kvinnliga berättare och ett feministiskt perspektiv. "Sameproblemet" är hennes femte bok och belönades med Bragepriset för bästa norska roman 2024 och Per Olov Enquists pris 2025. Mats Jonsson är serietecknare och författare, född 1973 i Kramfors. Han är känd för sina självbiografiska serieromaner, däribland "Hey Princess" och "Pojken i skogen". I "När vi var samer" skriver han om sin egen samiska historia och den svenska statens utplånande av skogssamerna, vilken blev den första serieromanen någonsin att nomineras till Augustpriset i skönlitteratur. Mark Rutte kom i ens ærend opp til Oslo for å lese Støre teksten. Støre var ikke mann til å ta kjeft i ekstraordinært statsråd og dro på Sampak i Stockholm.Dette er ikke mannfolk du går i krigen med.Samtidig hører vi fra folk som har vært inne til kurs i Forsvaret at vi må forvente krig, med vår store nabo i Øst.At USA ikke lenger er til å stole på, men at vi ikke har noe alternativ foreløpig.Oslo 3 er en mental tilstand. Christine Pletten i Aftenposten skriver at Trump er gal, men at gjengen rundt ham er det som skremmer henne mest.I USA får slike mennesker høre at det er de som lever i en osteklokke.Scott Jennings som er den eneste konservative i CNN. Han har eget radioshow og podcast. Han bruker aldri teleprompter eller manus. Folk elsker det.Document kan gjøre en forskjell ved å si det folk er opptatt av. Norge er vanstyrt. Du trenger bare pirke i materien så tar det fyr.Det er et sunnhetstegn.Støre har en mørk side.12 milliarder til droner i Ukraina. Også russerne vet det. De ser hva de ser. De vet at Finnmark vil være en naturlig utvidelse av Kolaøya. Før ville vi tenkt i de baner. Men Støre?Derimot er Espen Barth Eide bekymret. Dagny Loe og Jørgund Sivertsen – to kvinner i skyggen av partisankrigenHistorien om Dagny Loe og Jørgund Sivertsen er historien om to kvinner fra Øst-Finnmark som ble dratt inn i en av de mest brutale delene av okkupasjonshistorien i nord. Begge levde i det lille kystsamfunnet Berlevåg under krigen. Begge mistet ektemennene sine i det tyske oppgjøret mot partisanmiljøet sommeren 1943. Begge ble arrestert og sendt gjennom det tyske fangesystemet. Og begge kom hjem til et liv som aldri kunne bli det samme igjen. Jørgund Sofie Sivertsen, født Mikkelsen, ble født 27. november 1915. Biografiske omtaler av boka De kuer oss aldri! beskriver henne som ei jente fra Kramvik ved Kiberg i Varanger. Det er viktig bakgrunn. Kiberg lå ikke i utkanten av verden, men i et grenseområde der havet, Russland og Finnmark bandt folk sammen. Pomorhandelen mellom Nord-Norge og Russland var en bærebjelke i nord fram til 1917, og Kiberg lå ved det østligste punktet på Norges fastland. Etter krigen ble stedet kjent som «Lille Moskva», nettopp fordi forbindelsene østover og partisanmiljøet satte så dype spor. Tre år eldre var Dagny Kristine Loe, født Hartviksen i Berlevåg 14. oktober 1912. Hun giftet seg med Osvald Edmund Loe i 1931, og paret fikk åtte barn. Ruth Oddny var den yngste; de andre barna var Jan, Solbjørg, Erna, Lilla, Ole, Kristian og Bjørn Arne. Dagny ble boende i Berlevåg, der hun som husmor og åttebarnsmor levde i et kystsamfunn som under krigen også ble et viktig rom for motstand, etterretning og skjul. Da Tyskland angrep Sovjetunionen 22. juni 1941, fikk kysten i Finnmark enda større strategisk betydning. Forsyningene til Murmansk gikk sjøveien nord om Norge, og den første arktiske konvoien seilte i september 1941. I dette landskapet ble lokalkunnskap om kyst, skipstrafikk og tyske anlegg verdifull. Lokalhistoriewiki og fangearkivet viser at Dagny og Osvald Loe deltok i motstandsarbeid ved å rapportere om troppeforflytninger, skip og forsyninger til sovjetisk etterretning, og at de også skjulte partisaner. Også Jørgund Sivertsen omtales i biografiske kilder som en deltaker i partisanenes motstandsarbeid i Berlevåg. Sommeren 1943 slo tyskerne tilbake. I Persfjord- og Berlevåg-området hadde partisaner operert med hjelp fra lokale nettverk, og da tyskerne fikk gjennombrudd i etterforskningen, fulgte razziaer, harde avhør og en bred opprulling. Fangearkivets omtale av «Persfjord-tragedien» opplyser at det var krigsrett i Bjørnevatn ved Kirkenes 17. august 1943, at 14 nordmenn sto tiltalt, og at 11 av dem ble dømt til døden og henrettet dagen etter. Blant de henrettede var Osvald Edmund Loe og Øistein Meier Angel Sivertsen, Jørgunds ektemann. For Dagny Loe kom katastrofen mens familien allerede var slått i stykker. Fangeregisteret viser at hun ble arrestert i Berlevåg (Løkvika) 15. august 1943. I hennes egen etterkrigsfortelling, gjengitt på Lokalhistoriewiki, beskrives transporten til Kirkenes med den seks uker gamle Ruth Oddny. Da de kom fram, var barnet dødt. Derfra gikk veien videre gjennom Kirkenes, Lübeck, Jauer og Aichach, der hun satt til frigjøringen. Dagny ble siden kjent for at hun i fangenskap broderte livshistorien sin på et grått teppe. Da hun kom hjem til Norge i 1945, veide hun 37 kilo. Etter krigen levde begge videre som tidsvitner, ikke bare som ofre. Dagny Loe fikk ettersendt Deltakermedaljen nesten femti år for sent og sendte den tilbake. I 1992 ga datteren Lilla Loe det grå teppet til Sør-Varanger Museum, og i 2010 fikk Dagny Kongens fortjenstmedalje i sølv. Jørgunds historie ble løftet fram i Hans Kristian Eriksens bok fra 1993. Begge kvinnene er også blant de ti som forteller i dokumentaren Mørketid: kvinners møte med nazismen, som fikk Amanda for beste dokumentarfilm i 1995. Slik ble livene deres en del av den større historien om kvinnene som bar partisankrigen, fangenskapet og etterkrigstidens stillhet på sine skuldre. Hosted on Acast. A lifelong sauna enthusiast who lives on a small farm in Isfjorden in Møre og Romsdal, Stig oversees the day-to-day operations of the national organisation and serves as the primary liaison with members across Norway. A Sauna Talk from the British Sauna Summit, Tuesday, 20 May 2025 Hilton London Canary Wharf. Last year, Sauna Summit 2024 and 1.0, about 120 of us gathered rooftop at in Hackney. The spirit was both well organized like a conference, and yet intimate like a family gathering. This year, as attendance swelled to well north of 300, the Hilton Hotel ballroom provided a backdrop and familiarity of a “proper” (to use the British word) organized meeting. This is the evolution of sauna. What started as a somewhat jest and jovial organisation, like the growth of many things sauna, the British Sauna Society has ballooned into a structured membership of several hundred, representing the “saunapreneurs” of public saunas that dot the map of the UK's shoreline, streams, and urban communities. Yours truly was given the honour of announcing the winners of the second annual Sauna Summit Awards, which showcases outstanding saunas (Best Urban, Best Community, Best New, etc.). All of the contest participants are winners. And though there's surely pride and competition behind the curtain, yet what is displayed in the UK sauna scene is more collaboration and support. The Brits seem to recognize that the rising sauna tide lifts all public sauna boats. London Calling I am reminded of my time living in London. It was decades ago, and I had the dream job of music listings editor at Time Out magazine, where i'd have one on one relationship with the music venues (Dingwalls, Brixton Academy, etc.) and what stood out was the pricing structure of concert tickets. General admission at the top, then the list of discounted tickets (senior, student, unemployed, single parent, counsel estate resident, library card holder, etc.). It's ingrained in British culture to proudly support those underserved. And sauna culture today shares that “community support” ethos. America may face headwinds in this regard, being more capitalistic centric, yet Britain waves the flag of “serving their community” as evidence by the hundreds of saunas dotting their shoreline and beyond. Anyhow, in this episode we get to hear one on one conversations with folks from Harvia, Jake Newport from Finnmark, kindred spirit author Lassi Liikkanen, key Summit organizer Mark Lamb, his wife and author Emma O'kelly, Sauna from Finland Carita, Rob De Bank, and other folks “behind the scenes” and “between the action.” Notes from presentations at the British Sauna Summit: Carita 1. Replace them regularly. She changes stones twice a year. 6. Clean the sauna – deep clean under the benches. Dry the sauna after every use. 8. Whisking is gentle and relaxing. Good for your skin and circulation. Every sauna has its own soul. Löyly is the main thing.
