After his majority decision win over Lerone Murphy in the main event of UFC London, Movsar Evloev called for his shot at the UFC featherweight title and Alexander Volkanovski. Moments later, Volkanovski obliged, accepting the undefeated fighter's challenge. But with the UFC's head-scratching matchmaking practices as of late, should Evloev be concerned he could get leapfrogged again? On an all-new edition of On To the Next One, MMA Fighting's Mike Heck discusses what could — and should — be next for Evloev after his hard fought victory over Murphy. Additionally, future matchups are discussed for Luke Riley following his co-main event win over Michael Aswell, Michael Page after his win over Sam Patterson in the lackluster featured bout, along with other main card winners Iwo Baraniewski, Christian Leroy Duncan, Danny Silva, and more. Plus, the listeners get their say with their matchmaking submissions on the second half of the program. Movsar Evloev picked up the biggest win of his career in the main event of UFC London as he defeated Lerone Murphy, handing the latter his first MMA loss in the process. While the fight was ultra-competitive, and included a rare point deduction for Evloev, a lot of people feel the judges got it wrong — and that it should've been a draw, or a win for Murphy. Following UFC London, MMA Fighting's Mike Heck and Jed Meshew react to the Fight Night card, Evloev's win and the scorecards, how the commentary was during the fight, and if Evloev will get a title shot against Alexander Volkanovski after the win. Additionally, topics include Luke Riley's co-main event win, the lackluster featured bout between Michael Page and Sam Patterson and if it was one of the worst fight's in UFC history, the incredible Mason Jones vs. Axel Sola Fight of the Year contender, and much more. It's a St. Patrick's Day episode, and the energy is exactly what you'd expect—chaotic, funny, and completely unfiltered. Daniel and Luis kick things off in full holiday spirit, or at least one of them does. Luis shows up fully committed to the theme with green gear, accessories, and even green beer, while Daniel does his best to keep up with a much more low-key approach. That contrast sets the tone for the entire episode: one part preparation, one part winging it, and all of it entertaining. From the jump, the conversation flows naturally into what makes moments like this fun—the vibe, the spontaneity, and the ability to just laugh at whatever happens in real time. It's not about perfection; it's about showing up, celebrating the moment, and letting the conversation go wherever it wants.Early in the episode, Daniel takes a moment to give a genuine shoutout to Kelvin Gastelum, highlighting something that goes beyond sports. Instead of just focusing on his success in the UFC, Daniel talks about how Gastelum continues to give back to his hometown by organizing local fight events and bringing in other fighters and personalities. It's a reminder that success doesn't have to mean leaving everything behind—it can also mean reinvesting in the community that helped shape you. The way Daniel describes the growth of these events, from smaller productions to more polished showcases, makes it clear how much impact one person can have when they stay connected to where they came from. It's one of those moments in the episode where things briefly shift from jokes and banter to something more meaningful, without losing the authenticity of the show. One of the standout segments comes when they dive into a discussion about Nu Metal, sparked by a conversation they heard elsewhere. What starts as a simple topic quickly turns into a nostalgic deep dive into bands like Slipknot, Korn, System of a Down, Disturbed, and Limp Bizkit. They break down what defines the genre, why it resonated so much during their younger years, and how it still holds up today. Daniel shares a story about bonding with a classmate who didn't even speak the same language, all through a shared love of music. It's a perfect example of how music can transcend barriers and bring people together in ways that don't require words. Luis adds his own experiences, talking about introducing different types of music to coworkers and how reactions can vary depending on taste, culture, and exposure. The conversation isn't just about bands—it's about identity, connection, and how certain eras of music leave a lasting mark on who you are.As the episode continues, things take a more playful turn with a viral-style game where they have to choose between different “rooms” filled with celebrities. It's one of those segments that instantly sparks debate, not just between them but also with the audience. They try to figure out who's in each room, debate their options, and ultimately make their picks based on a mix of attraction, curiosity, and humor. What makes it work is the back-and-forth—the second-guessing, the jokes, and the willingness to call each other out. By the end of the episode, what stands out most is how effortlessly everything comes together. There's no single “main topic,” but that's exactly the point. It's a mix of stories, opinions, jokes, and reflections that create a full experience rather than a rigid format. Whether they're talking about music, birthdays, sports, or random internet games, the focus stays on connection—between the hosts, with the audience, and through shared experiences. It's the kind of episode that feels like hanging out with friends, where the conversation can go anywhere and still keep you entertained the entire time.Keep Up With Us:Tuesday Live Show Direct Link ► / https://tinyurl.com/tasbl Twitter ► / https://x.com/aftershowblYouTube ► / https://www.youtube.com/c/aftershowblContact Us:928-235-5285

It's a winning-streak kind of show as Jim Norton and Matt Serra are joined by a pair of surging contenders riding streaks of at least 7-straight wins.First, bantamweight contender Aiemann Zahabi calls in to preview his upcoming matchup with Sean O'Malley on the White House card. Eyeing an eighth straight win, Canada's own Zahabi discusses the revenge angle for a country that's come up short against the United States in multiple recent gold medal matchups and a World Baseball Classic quarterfinal, while also breaking down how he matches up with one of the division's most dangerous strikers. After recapping Saturday's UFC Fight Night card — including Kevin Vallejos' statement win and what could be next for Gillian Robertson — the guys welcome featherweight contender Youssef Zalal.Having worked with Aljamain Sterling in the past, Zalal dives into a uniquely insightful breakdown of the matchup — adding an interesting wrinkle given Aljo's longtime ties to Matt Serra. Jim and Matt don't hold back their admiration for Zalal as he previews the fight, discusses his recent surge, and explains why he believes he's ready for a title shot in a rapidly evolving featherweight division.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

From there, they run through a bunch of emails on Dynamite and Revolution.3/18/2021: Mike and Andrew begin this week's show talking about a terrific Dynamite main event between Thunder Rosa and Britt Baker. 1. Health, Fitness, and Longevity Philosophy Dana White emphasizes personal responsibility for health, especially after age 50. Core practices he credits for major health improvements: Keto diet (low carbs, meat, fish, vegetables; no “sides”). Intermittent fasting (skipping breakfast and lunch). Extended fasting (48–72 hour water + electrolyte fasts a few times per year). Cold plunges (3 minutes at ~50°F daily) to reduce inflammation and boost energy. Light weights + cardio, not heavy lifting. Claims these changes helped him: Lose significant weight (from ~235 to as low as 191). Eliminate sleep apnea and snoring. Get off prescription medications and rely on supplements instead. Improve mental clarity, focus, and energy. Dana White: UFC to issue 85,000 free tickets for White House card (CHECK OUT STORY HERE) 2. Skepticism of Traditional Medicine Expresses distrust of doctors for general health optimization. Strongly endorses personalized blood and genetic testing (via Gary Brecka). Believes many people are unnecessarily prescribed medication. Frames supplements, peptides, and lifestyle changes as superior to pharmaceuticals for chronic issues. FOLLOW DANA WHITE on Instagram HERE 3. Early Life and Entry Into Combat Sports Knew from a young age he wanted to work in the fight business. Left a hotel job in Boston at 19 to apprentice under boxing trainer Peter Welch. Learned the fight industry hands-on rather than through formal education. Left Boston abruptly after being shaken down by associates of Whitey Bulger, relocating to Las Vegas. LEARN MORE ABOUT DANA WHITE HERE 4. Acquisition and Transformation of the UFC Helped orchestrate the purchase of UFC for $2 million when it was near collapse. At acquisition, UFC had: Minimal assets (brand name and octagon). Sold-off media and merchandising rights. No mainstream credibility or regulation. Strategic decisions that fueled growth: Embracing regulation (opposite of prior owners). Educating audiences about MMA (especially ground fighting). Securing TV exposure, not just pay-per-view. Recruiting elite global talent. Creating compelling reality and talent pipelines (e.g., The Ultimate Fighter, Contender Series). UFC is now valued in the billions and dominates live-event gates, including Madison Square Garden. 5. View on Fighters and Greatness Believes MMA is superior to boxing structurally: Fighters must face top competition consistently. Harder to protect undefeated records. Calls Jon Jones the greatest MMA fighter of all time. Views Muhammad Ali as his favorite boxer, but praises Mike Tyson’s cultural impact. Believes elite athletes from other sports (NFL, Jordan, Shaq) could have been dominant MMA fighters with proper training. 6. Joe Rogan and Media Influence Credits Joe Rogan with helping mainstream audiences understand MMA. Did not anticipate Rogan becoming the world’s biggest podcaster. Attributes Rogan’s success to: Curiosity and intelligence. Long-form, unscripted conversations. Willingness to engage controversial topics. Sees podcasts as a powerful alternative to traditional media. 7. Relationship with Donald Trump Friendship began when Trump hosted early UFC events at his casinos when few would. Describes Trump as: Personally loyal. Resilient under pressure. Charismatic and relatable in private. Publicly supports Trump despite advice not to engage politically. Views Trump as unfairly targeted and uniquely resilient. Strongly positive about Trump’s embrace of podcasts and nontraditional media. Please Hit Subscribe to this podcast Right Now. Today's Headlines: Three weeks into the Iran "excursion" — Trump's word, not ours — and there's no end in sight. Trump claimed Iran asked for a ceasefire; Iran said that didn't happen. Either way, 5,000 more marines and three more warships are headed to the region, joining the 50,000 U.S. troops already there. Oil is stuck at $100 a barrel, every country Trump asked to help escort tankers through the Strait of Hormuz said no, and the U.S. bombed Iran's Kharg Island oil hub — which Trump said he might hit "a few more times just for fun," as one does. Iran fired a missile at an Italian base in Iraq's Kurdistan region, a drone killed a French soldier in the same area, and Emmanuel Macron had to call Tehran to say that's unacceptable. At home, a federal judge blocked the DOJ's attempt to criminally investigate Fed Chair Jerome Powell, ruling it was a pretext to pressure the Fed on interest rates — the Trump administration is appealing. The FCC chair threatened to pull local TV licenses over Iran war coverage he doesn't like, and Trump threatened media outlets on social media for the same reason. Neither has real teeth yet, but that's sort of the point. Meanwhile, a viral six-hour deposition of two former DOGE employees revealed they used ChatGPT to identify 1,400 grants to cut — including ones for Black civil rights documentaries and Holocaust research — with zero government or academic experience between them. The Wall Street Journal reported that the Trump administration will collect a $10 billion fee from the TikTok deal — on an app valued at roughly $14 billion total. Palantir's CEO went on CNBC to brag that his AI will shift economic power away from educated women who vote Democratic. Kash Patel announced the FBI will now train with UFC fighters. Marco Rubio is on the witness list in his close friend's federal trial for acting as an unregistered foreign agent of Venezuela. A Florida Democrat won the Boca Raton mayoral race by one vote, and the Republican loser said he'd "sleep on" whether to accept the results. And a UCLA study found that diverse film casts outperform at the box office — which landed the same weekend the Oscars completely snubbed Sinners.
