There is something to be said about the person that shows up in the room boldly. They catch people's attention and infiltrate the conversations in the room. They OWN who they are unapologetically! Can I tell you a secret? You have the power to show up like that! On any platform, in any room and at any time YOU can be the one that turns heads. That is done by owning who you are. I mean all of YOU. The good, the bad, and the ugly parts are all what makes you uniquely YOU! That type of confidence takes a few things like consistency and accountability. You'll have things you must do before you even step foot in the room. That is what this discussion is about. The mindset shift that each person who has been successful has had to endure. The reality checks and balances that often go unseen are important. So, do a check in with yourself after you listen to this episode. What are some areas where you need to own YOU? When you show up...you light up the room! Not the dress or the suit Not the eloquent words Not the bling or hairIt's YOU! Now is the time to stop throwing your money in the air and hoping it lands on good ground. I know that may sound a little harsh but hear me out. This is the episode where you will plan for your financial comeback and that can only be done if we have a clear understanding of where we are financially. So, #SpeakEasy listeners do you know where you are financially? There were many people that believed that they were financially secure when they actually weren't. This year was definitely a gut punch to our revenue streams and side hustles. No matter what effect this year has had in your business and life, you can still plan for a comeback. I want you to be in a great position to start 2021 strong. Dr. Ranelli's nuggets: ~ Make sure that we are increasing cash flows ~ Strategize on putting profits aside in our bank accounts~ Eventually build generational wealth ~ Get a strategy that works The starting point is your mindset. There are many habits, tools, and hacks that have been passed down from generation to generation. Unfortunately, the majority of them are taking us in the opposite direction of our financial goal. You have to be deliberate and bold about end the generations of bad money habits. We make a decision to no longer have the rug pulled from under us. "We need to have a mindset of success." ~ Dr. Ranelli Sometimes you will need to remind yourself of what success would look like for you. Be mindful not to get caught up in someone else's definition of success. Along with this you will need to build your resilience. Your actions and words will have to fall in alignment with your goals. Be clear about what you want to see when it comes to building wealth, retirement, and your children's lives.Don't forget to take inventory of your gifts while on this journey. Listen in and take notes on some of the other gems that Dr. Ranelli dropped in this episode. Meet Dr. Ranelli:Dr. Ranelli A. Williams is a Certified Public Accountant, financial educator, and profit strategist, best-selling author, and award-nominated speaker empowering service-based entrepreneurs to take control of their money as they work towards building a strong financial legacy. She co-owns a tax and accounting business, ERJ Services, along with her husband Eric, helping their clients organize their financial data so they build a strong financial foundation, prioritize cash flow and profits, and strategize to pay only the minimum legal taxes. She is also the founder of Profitable Entrepreneurs Network, a community of service-based entrepreneurs who are looking to put a solid financial structure in place so they can focus on getting paid for doing what they love, keeping their hard-earned dollars secure, and facilitating continued growth and expansion.Social Media Handles (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)www.linkedin.com/in/drranelliwilliamswww.facebook.com/drranelliwilliams
Episode Thirty-Five: That Awkward Moment
Here is a hard truth to handle for most entrepreneurs...You are leaving money and opportunities on the table everyday! Ask yourself this question and give yourself an honest answer. Are you dominating the rooms you are in both in person and virtually? Be honest! This episode was a personal, and professional, chastising for me but I'll let you in on the conversation. I received an email from PodBean about live-streaming and it peaking my interest. Since The #SpeakEasy Podcast started as a livestream on Facebook this would be perfect. Then it happened...I went to the site and noticed that I had not claimed my podcast. Omg!! I signed up for the site years ago but I was not using everything it had to offer. (How many can relate on one level or another?) Once I claimed my show I saw an opportunity to market through PodBean. Oh, if you connect with us on PodBean we'll follow you back. Let's grow together! So how do we show up and dominate the room? - Lead with service - Have conversations within the community - Ask questions - Follow up and then follow up again- Be consistent in your actions, service and engagement When we create a strategy for how we show up online and offline it sets the standard. Social media has shrunk the seven degrees of separation to three within the span of a few years. That means that you can connect with almost anyone when you execute at the highest level. Deliver your best and allow word of mouth to do the rest. Come join the conversation by going bit.ly/worldvoicecommunity

MixedGirlMane takes a step back from regular episodes to address the Uprisings happening in particular in the United States but since the time of record has now spread around the globe. The episode opens with Maya Angelou reading of her poem Still I Rise, as it has been like a soundtrack on repeat in my head all weekend. I hope that if you are physically at the protests you are returning home safely, I hope that you are all taking care of your mental and emotional health right now, and I hope that you're finding ways to perform activism that works best for you and your skillsets. I've let things back up on me too much and I am needing to take a proper break. I will be taking the entire month of August off from podcasting for a mental health break. Taking the advice of several friends and podcasters I am "taking a break before I am broken" (Corbin Blake). I speak about my depression a bit at the top of the episode and then share a rerun of episode 23 "Mostly White" with Alison Hart. Throughout the month of August, I will air additional reruns of the episodes we get the most emails about. Feel free to use this time to catch up on some of our earlier episodes as well and I'll be back, hopefully, rested and through the worst of this bout of major depression. * * * Produced and Edited by: Sharmane Fury Music by: David Bogan, the One - https://www.dbtheone.com/ * * * Connect with us on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook or leave us a voicemail at 323-545-6001 * * * Militantly Mixed is a fan-sponsored podcast, if you are enjoying the show please consider sponsoring us on Patreon or Paypal today! This week Sharmane aka MixedGirlMane is joined by her hub, Tristan aka Professor Tree. This week I speak with Jillian Musarra of Irish-American and Sicilian-Arab heritage about growing up with both parents but having access to only one culture, having to give themselves permission to embrace their racial identity through coming out to themselves as non-binary and finding comfort in their own racial identity through helping asylum seekers in Ireland. Celebrating Militantly Mixed's first anniversary! I cannot believe I made it a whole year and we ended with a bang too 8,000 downloads in the first year. For an independent, niche podcast that is trying to archive the Mixed Race experience, I think this is amazing. On this episode, I read a letter from a guest and share the humble beginning of ManeHustle Media, Militantly Mixed, and Black Radical Queer with my partner in pod, Jhavia Nicole. Hey Y'all, Juneteenth is just around the corner and I want to hear what Juneteenth means to you. Let's tell the world about what Juneteenth is, and what it means to us as Mixed-Black folks. This is a call for stories. Send me your feelings about Juneteenth on Twitter & Instagram @Militantly Mixed. By email sharmane@militantlymixed.com. Leave a voicemail at 323-545-6001. Record an audio file on your phone and email it to me. Or find me on Skype at Live:MixedGirlMane. Episode 9 poses questions to the issues that have been ruining the lives of many people that have fallen victim to the judicial system. Though it may not be what we are owed, this little ass freedom is all we got. Don't lose it, 'cause once it's gone it could be gone forever.

Episode 7 provides a brief history lesson on drugs and how it effects minority communities. We can't learn everything from this country and its history, but we can learn that this so-called "war on drugs" is really a war on people.
Episode 6 is a short self-help guide to producing content and gaining followers. Without real support, you can't do shit; but with it, you can do everything.
Episode 5 offers a millennial perspective on love and marriage. Age ain't nothing but a number. We have a lot of love to give, and receive. We are just afraid.
Episode 4 speaks to the inner child inside of all of us who may be still suffering from mistakes our parents have made. You can't do shit with the past but use it as a reference. Learn the lesson. Forget the stressin'.
Episode 3 maps out how easy it is to travel and not break your wallet, also provides you with some helpful tips in order to ensure that you enjoy yourself and make it back home in one piece.
Season 2 is here, and episode 1 opens up with yet another epic poem about time. Even when you're not watching the clock tick, you are still on the clock. Make it count, y'all.
The final episode. The final testimony of 2018. All questions answered, and all tea is spilled. If you can take away one thing from this episode, just try not to forget- life is too short not to do your shit.
Episode 9 lists off the best music to debut in 2018. From hip-hop, R&B, and collaboration albums. These are the soundtracks that made this crazy year just a little simpler.
