Viktoria Hamma is a Chronic Pain and Wellness Coach with education in Hypnotherapy, Massage Therapy and personal training. She has her own practice both in person at True North MVMNT in Muskoka ON and virtually. She works educating clients and people alike at a Private Addiction Treatment Centre in Ontario, various Indigenous reserves in Canada and does contract work with many other organizations including businesses and private schools. She helps to educate clients on the biopsychosocial aspects of chronic pain and unlocks their ability to reduce their pain and help with weight loss and wellness goals. She has been featured on many different podcasts and new articles speaking to her experience helping clients with mindset, chronic pain and weight loss. Viktoria is a lifelong learner and finds joy in continuing to sharpen and add to her skills. In her downtime Viktoria also volunteers as a Board of Director for the Muskoka Lakes Chamber of Commerce and as help at the local food bank. Digitálni domorodci – označenie, ktoré prischlo poslednej – najmladšej generácii, ktorá si tu žije s nami po roku 2000. V digitálnom prostredí sú na jednej strane ako ryba vo vode – technologicky zruční, multitaskingoví. Na druhej vždy len ľudia – s obmedzenou kapacitou spracovania až neskutočne bohatej ponuky vnemov, s tendenciami považovať virtuálne za skutočné, hru za realitu; až po problém, že čo nie je na obrazovke smartfónu akoby ani nebolo. Čo však môže priniesť následný stret so svetom, ktorý je ohraničený najbežnejšou fyzikou, nevirtuálnymi dôsledkami virtuálnych hier? Pozrieme sa na to s expertkou na takéto presahy online sveta do toho hmatateľného offlineového. A že v ňom môže pomôcť najobyčajnejšie stretnutie s rozprávkou?   Téma pre Viktóriu Norisovú.   „Tým, že sú kompasom a návodom na život, môžu nám ukázať, ako k nemu pristupovať“. Viktória Norisová poukazuje na rolu rozprávok a ich príbehov, ktorú môžu ponúknuť pre aktuálnu dobu až revolučných zmien v oblasti IT technológií. „Rozprávky môžu byť tým, čo nás spája, čo rodičom ponúkne stráviť so svojimi deťmi kvalitný čas“, vysvetľuje.   Poukazuje pritom na skúsenosť spred dvoch storočí z obdobia veľkej priemyselnej revolúcie s príbehmi Charlesa Dickensa. „V novinách vydával na pokračovanie svoje príbehy. Tie sa kupovali, rodiny na ne čakali a stretávali sa pri ich spoločnom čítaní. Bolo to veľmi úspešné“, tvrdí odborníčka na mediálnu gramotnosť.   Nedávny výskum tímu okolo psychológa Juraja Holdoša (KU Ružomberok) prišiel so zaujímavými dátami o spolunažívaní detí a dospievajúcich s online svetom. Dáta z výskumu hovoria, že zo smartfónu sa pre väčšinu detí a dospievajúcich stalo akési centrum existencie. Do online sveta ním vstupuje viac ako 90 percent mladých – a so zvyšujúcim vekom sa ich podiel zvyšuje; a robia to „niekoľkokrát za deň, denne alebo takmer denne“.   V pracovné dni strávia na internete podľa Viktórie Norisovej viac ako štyri hodiny. Počas víkendov to ešte narastá. „Je prirodzené, že čas na sieťach stúpa. Žiaci s internetom pracujú aj v škole, majú na ňom zadania“, vysvetľuje.   Dôležité je však podľa nej aj to, čo na internete robia. „Je dôležitý obsah a rovnako miesto, kde sú na internete. Či sa deti pred rodičmi neskrývajú, alebo či dokážu otvorene hovoriť o tom, čo na internete robia“, dodáva.   Online svet poskytuje na jednej strane nesporné výhody, na druhej predstavuje aj nástrahy. Spomínaný výskum ukázal, že napríklad tretina detí a dospievajúcich zažila šikanu formou „hnusných a nepríjemných správ“. Vážnym zistením je, že veľká časť detí o nej vôbec s nikým nehovorí (29 percent).   61 percent detí a dospievajúcich vo veku medzi jedenástym a sedemnástym rokom uviedlo, že „videlo sexuálne obsahy“ a najčastejšie sa s nimi stretávajú cez internet. Tretina pritom videla tieto obsahy na pornografickej stránke a to minimálne raz za týždeň.   Aké miesto tu má rodič, učiteľ, vychovávateľ? Podľa Norisovej zodpovednosť za deti majú v prvom rade rodičia. „Trávte na internete čas spolu“, odporúča. „A rozprávajte sa o tom, čo deti zažívajú nielen vo svete reálnom, ale aj v tom virtuálnom“, dodáva.   Pomocou môže byť aj spomínané rozprávky. „Zohrávajú dôležitú úlohu pri výchove, lebo obsahujú skryté návody na život od predošlých generácií“, hovorí Norisová. Pripomína, že sú studnicou hodnôt.   „Neexistuje rozprávka, v ktorej by človek získal šťastie vďaka svojmu sebectvu alebo zákernosti. Naozajstné rozprávky učia deti odpúšťať a milovať. Boj proti krutým životným prekážkam a úskaliam neodmysliteľne patrí k životu a ak sa im človek nevyhýba a postaví sa im, prekoná ich a z boja vyjde ako víťaz“, pripomína.   V podcaste sa dozviete aj veľmi konkrétne odpovede na otázky, kedy deťom dovoliť prístup na sociálne siete, aký čas môžu tráviť na internete, aké sú prípadne príznaky jeho nadužívania, či ako viesť dospievajúcich k mediálnej gramotnosti v online priestore.   Podcast pripravil Jaroslav Barborák.

Most photographers are given the advice to specialize in something in order to make it as a photographer. On the surface, this seems to make sense as it allows one to become an expert and to become known for one thing; however, it might not be the best advice to follow, especially if you live in a smaller town. This week I had the pleasure of speaking with Viktoria Haack - a photographer living in Salmon Arm, British Columbia. Viktoria has chosen not to specialize in any one form of photography and has instead chosen to see herself as a generalist, which has done wonders for her photography career. On July 2, 2005, 911 is called to respond to a 2 year old adopted girl in Manassas, Virginia, who's not breathing. At the hospital, medical staff find the girl has suffered severe internal injuries. Ukrainecast has been following the story of Viktoria Kovalenko, whose husband and 12-year-old daughter Veronika were killed in front of her when they tried to escape from the besieged town of Chernihiv in the early days of the war. After weeks of hiding in bunkers, Viktoria and her surviving baby daughter Varvara eventually managed to find their way to Poland. Viktoria's dream was to get to the UK to start a new chapter for Varvara. After 191 days of waiting for a visa, they, together with Viktoria's brother, finally arrived in England and came into the Ukrainecast studio. On Tuesday's Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Viktoria Kroejeva and her father Danail Kroejeva. Viktoria spoke about recently being announced as a winner of the Zurich Young Portrait Prize 2022 at an awards ceremony at the National Gallery of Ireland on December 6th. She discussed the image she painted of her dad titled 'Day Out' which won the category of ages 12 - 15 at the awards ceremony. She also highlighted her passion for art and the emphasis she places on drawing and painting. Danail described how proud himself and his family are of Viktoria and his delight for his daughter.

The Hinterkaifeck murders occurred on the evening of March 31, 1922, when six inhabitants of a small Bavarian farmstead, located approximately 70 kilometres (43 mi) north of Munich, Germany, were murdered by an unknown assailant. The six victims were Andreas Gruber (age 63) and Cäzilia Gruber (age 72), their widowed daughter Viktoria Gabriel (age 35), Viktoria's children, Cäzilia (age 7) and Josef (age 2), and the maid, Maria Baumgartner (age 44). They were all found struck dead. The perpetrator (or perpetrators) lived with the six corpses of their victims for three days. The murders are considered one of the most gruesome and puzzling unsolved crimes in German history. Four of the dead bodies were stacked up in the barn, the victims having been lured into there one by one. Prior to the incident, the family and their previous maid reported hearing strange sounds coming from the attic, which led that maid to quit. The case remains unsolved to this day. Viktoria Bolonina, opera singer and a participant of 'The Voice', came to our studio to share her story of fighting stage four brain cancer.

Viktor Orban has been prime minister of Hungary since 2010, and previously served in that role from 1998 until 2002. In that first stint as Hungarian leader, Orban passed without comment in European Union circles, but his second premiership has seen him come up against the EU on issues related to the rule of law, LGBT rights, and the 2015 migrant crisis. Orban is now fully fledged right-wing populist, but unlike other people who fit that description, sees himself as the international poster boy for this type of politics, making him Hungary's most divisive export. Hungary's future looks, in many ways, very bleak- it has a flatlining economy, largely due to falling population, something likely to lead to scarcity and rising prices in the long run. It is not helped by the fact that Orban is hoping his party, which has little novel or innovative to say about Hungary's economic situation, will stay in power until 2060. Could Orban happen here? Hungary, a nation only thirty years free from communism, and suffering from endemic corruption and economic stagnation, was fertile ground for the right-wing politics of Orban. What about countries like Britain, the Netherlands and the Scandinavian countries, which have much longer traditions of democracy and the rule of law? My guest today is Viktoria Serdült. Viktoria is an author at Visegrad Insight, a media site that focuses on Hungary and its Central European neighbours, as well as HVG, Hungary's leading economic and political weekly. We discuss the seeds of Orban's rise in the fall of Hungarian communism, his manipulation of the media, his government's family planning policy, the chasm in social attitudes that exists across the European continent, and the 2015 migrant crisis. 

Viktoria is a clinic owner as well as a practicing Massage Therapist and a hypnotherapist primarily working with chronic pain patients. She also works in an addiction treatment center providing pain education for her clients. Viktoria wanted to have a conversation about the use of language when it comes to chronic pain as well as the mindset of our patients and how it affects their healing. In her work dealing with patients who are heavily addicted to pain medications, she uses her knowledge to help them recognize how they are thinking about their pain and what their belief system is surrounding their pain.
