PODCAST AM MEMORIESOlivia Newton John - A Little Bit of LovePhoto: Leahshia GastonUsage: Wikipedia CC BY-SA 3.0Intro: Gail NoblesStory by: Gail NoblesThe tune, "A Little More Love," it hit the charts like a meteor shower in '79. It Peaked at number three. But listen to these lyrics.Olivia Newtown John is singing bout the night draggin' on, waitin' in the heat. Sounds like a lonely scene. But then she drops the bomb! "I know, know that you'll have your way 'Til you have to go home."  Sounds like this cat she's with, he's got somethin' she wants, somethin' she can't say no to, ya know? Then she spills the beans: "No is a word I can't say. 'Cause it gets me nowhere to tell you no, And it gets me nowhere to make you go." Olivia is trapped. She knows this relationship ain't goin' nowhere good, but she's stuck in the gravitational pull of this dude. But here's where it gets real, real deep. The chorus, man, those questions:"Will a little more love make you stop depending? Will a little more love bring a happy ending? Will a little more love make it right? Will a little more love make it right?"She's askin' herself, and maybe askin' him, can love really fix this mess? Can she change him? Can she give enough of herself to make him a better man? It's a universal cry. We all wanna believe love can conquer all, but sometimes, it ain't enough. Sometimes, a little more love ain't gonna change a thing.Olivia Newton-John was servin' up some serious truth about relationships, about being stuck, about hopin' for a change.  So next time you hear "A Little More Love," remember there's more to it than just a catchy tune. It's a question mark hangin' over all our hearts. You're listening to Podcast AM Memories. I'm your host, Gail Nobles. Thank you for listening.

You know the name, you know the moves, and you definitely know the magic—I'm talking about none other than Michael Jackson's sensational hit "Rock With You!" Written by the sensational Rod Temperton and brought to life under the legendary production of Quincy Jones, this track hit the airwaves like a bolt of lightning in October 1979—an electric spark that lit the dance floors ablaze! But let me tell you a little secret: this song was originally offered to none other than Karen Carpenter! Can you imagine? But she passed it up, and boy, did we win big when it landed in the hands of the King of Pop.Now, folks, get ready for some numbers—they're as slick as Jackson's dance moves! "Rock With You" rocketed straight to number one on the US pop charts and held that spot for four glorious weeks from January 19 to February 9, 1980. But that's not all—this anthem also sizzled to the top of the R&B charts, spending five weeks at number one! You see, this was the third chart-topping single in the 1980s for our beloved Michael, a decade that would soon be drenched in his unstoppable hits! According to Billboard, "Rock with You" wasn't just any single—it was the fourth biggest hit of 1980!And let's take a moment to recognize its significance in music history: it was one of the closing chapters of the disco era, but oh, what a farewell it was! With its smooth rhythm and velvety production, this track became THE anthem to get lost in the dance under the disco ball lights—you can't help but lose yourself in its magical groove! So, whether you're hitting the dance floor or chilling at home, you can't go wrong with “Rock With You.” It's a slice of musical history, a moment frozen in time, and a reminder of why Michael Jackson is the King. THE PODCAST AMLooking back onSolid Gold Soul, I came across some radio memories from WJMO AM Cleveland dating back to 1995 on YouTube. The show featured Solid Gold Soul with David Jackson, which was also broadcasted on WELS-FM in Kinston, NC. I used to listen to Solid Gold Soul frequently and still recall the catchy jingle celebrating classic soul hits from the 60s and 70s. They showcased incredible tracks like Martha Reeves & the Vandellas' “Honey Chile, Third Finger, Left Hand,” which I mistakenly believed was called "Wedding Band." They also played Aretha Franklin's “The House That Jack Built” and Tina Charles' “I'll Go Where Your Music Takes Me.” It puzzles me why radio stations that play such great hits eventually change formats. They often transition to genres like Gospel or Country. I think a station like that could easily incorporate Gospel on Sundays and Country on Saturdays, while still showcasing the beloved soul hits throughout the week. I really miss Solid Gold Soul.I'm Gail Nobles. You're listening to the Podcast AM. A show about the AM Stories on the Cat Bear.

Now, if you tuned into your AM station during that glorious decade, you couldn't help but catch the unmistakable voice of one Rod Stewart. A true rock-and-roll music artist with charm to spare, he delivered tunes that had us all feeling fine, and none quite as captivating as “Tonight's the Night (Everything Is Gonna Be Alright)." Ah, can you hear it? That smooth opening! Recorded at the legendary Muscle Shoals Sound Studio in Sheffield, Alabama, this song from his 1976 album A Night on the Town became not just a hit, but a phenomenon. Talk about a track that had the whole nation humming along! It made its debut at number 81 on October 2 1976 and rose quickly, climbing from number eight to the top of the chart. The steadfast anthem rocketed to the number one spot on November 13, where it nestled like a cozy cat for an impressive eight-week stay! It was the longest stay for a single in the U.S. that year, and the longest since the Beatles swept us off our feet with "Hey Jude" back in '68.“Tonight's the Night” not only reached the top of the charts in America but also soared high in the charts worldwide. In Canada, it was a six-week sensation, and even reached the UK and Australia. And let's not forget—by the end of 1977, it proudly claimed the title of the best-selling single in the States! Can you believe it? It became so iconic that as of 2018, it sits as the 19th-most popular song in the history of the Billboard chart. So, let's raise a glass and celebrate the timelessness of Rod Stewart—and remember, my friends: every time you hear that classic tune, let it remind you that, come what may, everything is going to be alright. Now let's get started.I want to talk about songwriter, Rupert Holmes and his hit song Escape (The Piña Colada song). This tune is a catchy melody and story. I would sing this song with my family listening to AM not knowing what a Piña Colada was when I was a little girl. The song is wrapped up in a tropical cocktail of a story.Released in 1979 as the lead single from Holmes' fifth studio album Partners in Crime. This gem had the billboard folks buzzing with excitement, and no wonder! Radio stations across the country were picking it up quicker than you)d snag a cold drink on a hot Summer day. By the end of December 1979 p, it became the last number one single of the decade. Talk about making a splash.Less unravel this delightful story shall we? The man is weary from the humdrum of a routine relationship. Finds himself daydreaming of escape. He's out there seeking something new, something refreshing, and boy, does he find it in the pages of the personal ads. Who among us hasn't experienced that thirst for a little adventure? Holmes taps into that universal feeling with vivid storytelling. When our hero discovers an ad from a woman seeking someone who enjoys Piña Coladas, and getting caught in the rain, he can't resist. I mean, who wouldn't be fascinated? The lyrics paint a picture of longing, anticipation, and that all too familiar search for connection in the bustling of life. And here is the beautiful twist - when they finally meet, it's not just a flirtatious rendezvous. I'm talking about their classic tune "Hey Nineteen".They had that AM sound on a lazy afternoon you turn it on and you can hear that smooth jazzy guitar riff. It's like the sun breaking through the clouds Walter Becker and Donald Fagen. They knew how to create those lush arrangements, rock, jazz, and pop into adelicious sonic treat."Hey19" has got that laid-back groove easy on the ears with lyrics that spin a tale in youthful exuberance. It was in those days before life got a little too serious. It pulls you in, makes you remember those golden moments of youth, and brings all that sweet jazz influence to the forefront. And let's not forget about that irresistible chorus when they sing ‘Hey 19”. it's like a magnet for your heart inviting you to reminisce and relax. You can almost picture yourself lounging at a backyard barbecue sipping on something cool while the laid-back harmonies float the air.Hey 19 is a group by Steely Dan from their 1980 album “Gaucho”. The lyrics are about a man in his early 30s contemplating a romantic encounter with a 19-year-old with whom he has nothing in common."Hey19" Pete at number 10 on the billboard hot 100 chart in early 1981, number 11 on the adult contemporary chart, and number 68 on the R&B singles chart. Story and cover art by: Gail NoblesHello, I'm Gail Nobles. Welcome to the Whitney Soul Podcast. Today's topic: Whitney-Never To Walk in Anyone's Shadows. There is a powerful message contained within Whitney Houston‘s greatest love of all. She speaks to us about courage and self-affirmation, reminding us that we each hold a light within us. When she says, "I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone's shadows," she calls upon us to embrace our own identities and pursue our own dreams. It is a clarion call to rise up, to break free from the expectations of others, and to recognize the gifts that lie within our own hearts. We must not allow the weight of doubt or the fear of failure to eclipse our journey. “If I fail, if I succeed, at least I live as I believe.” Ah, my fellow dreamers, this is the spirit of true integrity! It is not merely the outcomes of our efforts that define us, but the conviction with which we engage in our struggle for greatness. We must learn to cherish the journey, to honor our values, and to hold fast to the principles that ignite our passions. So let us walk proudly, not in the shadows of others, but in the bright light of our own truth. Let us cultivate the greatest love of all—the love for ourselves, the love for our dreams, and the love for our shared humanity. Because when we believe in ourselves, we not only uplift our own spirits, but we inspire others to do the same. Together, we can create a world where every individual stands tall, unapologetically.Let us rise up remembering Whitney Houston and the message she brought to us in our hearts. I'm Gail Nobles. It's that magical time of year, with whispers of ghosts and shadows dancing under the whispering moonlight. You know what I'm talking about. Halloween is creeping up on us, but let's not forget the sweet serenades that fill our hearts with love and longing. Now, let's talk about that soulful sensation from The Spinners. “When the Magic and the Moonlight Dies.” Oh, what a tune! It spins a tale of love that's as enchanting as a crisp autumn evening, yet it wraps you in tales of heartache when the enchantment fades away. “A sweet hello will be a bitter goodbye,” they sing in those silky smooth harmonies, and my friends, isn't that just the way love works? One moment you're floating on air, and the next, it's like the magic has slipped through your fingertips like grains of sand. Can't you just picture it? The moon is shining bright, casting its glow over lovers lost in an embrace, while the soft melody pulls you deeper into the vibe. But beware! The Spinners remind us that when the moonlight dims, those once sweet moments can turn to shadows of sadness. “You and your baby will be walking your separate ways.”Love can feel as mystical as a full moon on a clear night, but keep your hearts close. “When the magic and the moonlight fades,” you might find yourself staring into those eyes that once sparkled with love, now dimmed by a bittersweet reality. So listen up, lovers! This Halloween, as the spirits roam and the world takes on an air of mystery, don't give into the shadows. Hold onto that magic while it lasts, dance under the moonlight, and cherish those moments, because nothing is sweeter than love.

Times when we carry secrets, unspoken burdens that weigh heavy upon us. We find ourselves in silence, for sometimes, we reveal too much of ourselves, and other times, we crave connection and the warmth of trust.I'm thinking about the words of Aaliyah from her song Are You That Somebody. Let's reflect upon the words of Aaliyah, whose lyrical craftsmanship speaks to the depths of our shared human experience. She presents us with a deep inquiry into trust, responsibility, and the complexities of intimate connection.”In her lyrics, she said: But if I, If I let this go," she opens a dialogue with uncertainty, a reminder that in the journey of love and relationship, decisions carry consequences that go beyond the moment. She calls upon the listener to recognize the sacredness of her heart, urging, “You can't tell nobody, I'm talkin' 'bout nobody.” Here, she emphasizes the privacy and sanctity of emotional truths, which must be held with respect and integrity. In Aaliyah‘s work, we can recognize importance of trust and relationship. Keyboardist & Vocals: Gail NoblesStory by: Gail NoblesLet's take a little trip down memory lane, back to those golden days when AM radio filled the airwaves with sweet voices harmonizing in perfect unison. Oh, those were the times when harmony groups would make your heart sing and your soul sway!I learned about Billy Stewart. He was singing “Sitting in the Park” back in the '60s, bringing warmth and joy to everyone tuning in. Fast forward to 1980. We were treated to an updated version by G.Q., who gave us “I Do Love You,” also a Billy Stewart song, reminding us that the spirit of those harmony nights was alive and well!Don't forget Ray, Goodman & Brown and their soulful hit, “Special Lady,” a melodic gem that captivated the hearts of so many. The essence of harmony and rhythm-and-blues brought to mind the thrill of doo-wop—those legendary groups singing sweetly on street corners, just like I caught on TV with Sha-Na-Na. For those youngsters who may not have lived through that glorious era, let me tell you, there's nothing quite like the magic of vocal harmony. These groups didn't need fancy production or flashy instruments; their voices alone created the kind of music that could make you stop in your tracks and feel every note deep in your bones. So let's keep spinning those classics, and remember the rich tapestry of harmonies that defined a generation. Turning on that AM dial was like opening a treasure chest of sound, filled with love, heart, and the magic of the human voice!I'm Gail Nobles remembering harmony groups on Podcast AM.

Well, I suppose in this digital age, sound quality is king, but let's not forget the charm of those crackly, static-filled airwaves we grew up with. Ah, the golden days of radio! There's something about tuning in to your favorite station, praying that the signal comes in clear so you can enjoy the music without the distraction.Once a radio station ceases to exist, it's as if the very spirit of its history diappears. It's left like a whisper in the wind—only lingering in the minds of those who once tuned in. Take WHIT, for instance. There I was, a little girl in the 70s, listening to what felt like magic coming from a car radio as I enjoyed a ride. I have a notion that it was an AM station, broadcasting from somewhere that felt like a world away.I can almost hear the strains of Randy Newman's “Short People” floating through the air, mixed with the smooth vibe of Paul McCartney's “Silly Love Songs.” There was Charlie Dore crooning “Pilot of the Airwaves,” and Debbie Boone telling me, “You Light Up My Life.” How can I forget Melisa Manchester's “Don't Cry Out Loud,” or Candi Staton's “Run, Heart, Run Free”, and Yvonne Elliman's “If I Can't Have You.” Now, I don't know if I heard all these hits on WHIT specifically, but the memories are neatly tucked away with that station. And let's not overlook the charismatic Wolfman Jack—how could we forget the man who owned the airwaves? He spun records with the enthusiasm only a true radio DJ could muster.AM radio might have been fuzzier than a cat's fur, and the static could drive you nuts, but there was a certain warmth to those imperfect sounds. The music managed to shine through the noise, and that's what made it special. I didn't care about the interference; I was too busy lost in the melodies that carried my dreams.

A time when music was great with soul and had the sound of smooth harmonies. And I'm thinking of a fabulous group known as the lost generation. With their silky vocals and that sweet R&B groove, they brought us tunes that made the world smile. They knew how to stir those emotions sending love notes through the airwaves straight to your heart. It's time to revive that love music. Whether it's their iconic hits or those deep cuts that made you feel like you were floating on a cloud, we owe it to ourselves to bring back the sounds that defined a generation. Now let me tell you about the group Lost Generation. The members Lowrell Simon, Fred Simon (brothers),Jesse Dean, Leslie Dean and Larry Brownlee began singing together in 1969. This was after Jesse Dean completed time in the United States Army. Shortly after forming, Lowrell Simon's childhood friend, Gus Redmond (who was by that time promotional head at Brunswick Records), had the group record with producer Carl Davis. The result of these sessions was the single "The Sly, Slick and the Wicked", which became a hit in the US, and whose sales earned Brunswick Records enough profits to buy itself out and dissociate itself from its parent company, Decca Records, that same year. Lowrell Simon was inspired for the song's title by the film title The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The group scored a few further hits, and disbanded in 1974. Members Brownlee and Fred Simon later joining Mystique. Lowrell Simon embarked on a successful career as a songwriter and, in the late 70's, a solo artist. Larry Brownlee died in 1978. Fred Simon currently sings bass vocals with The Chi-Lites. Lowrell Simon died in 2018 of multiple health complications. They were a group that had great vocal arrangements. They were like a sweet potion blending powerful leads with silky background harmonies that transported you straight to the heart of the soul experience. The band sound was a perfect marriage of passion and skill. So as we reminisce about the year 1969, let's not forget The Lost Generation - the torch barriers of soul music keeping the flame alive in an ever-changing musical landscape. Now let me break it down for you. Picture this: You hear the music from your radio. That's the vibe my friends, but here's the kicker - when it comes to podcasts, we're  throwing those vinyl grooves right out the window. Why? Let me tell you. Podcasts all about the spoken word. Imagine a conversation between your favorite host, dishing out stories, news, and laughter. They don't need no crackling vinyl or spinning disc. It's all digital now, screamed right into your ears through the magic of the Internet. Next up, the flexibility. In the world of podcasts, we're not limited by the length of a record. Who needs to flip it over? A podcast can take you on an adventure, whether it's a quick 15 minute chat or an epic two hour deep dive. No side A or Side B, just straight up freedom. And Hey! Let's not forget about production. Those dreamy sounds you hear in my podcast or crafted with care, mixing in music, sound effects, and all sorts of audio wizardry. Records are just grooves and a slab of wax or a multimedia feast for your ears. Just look on the bright side. You got a chance to do something new. I wish I could play a few minutes of a 45 record, but I can't. It's against the podcast rules. While we love the sound of vinyl spinning. podcasts are forging their own path through the airwaves, bringing conversations and stories directly to you. You won't hear those records playing in the background of a podcast. It's all about the magic of technology.I'm Gail Nobles. Thank you for tuning into the Cat Bear. They put themselves in there or they forget God. I agree but we don't know what's in a person's heart. Whitney knew she needed God. She was always singing the Gospel. She was brought up in church, and she never stopped going to church. Like any other human being, she had some troubles. Whatever was troubling Whitney, I believe that helped her to be a great singer too. She sang with feeling.  I've seen a video of Whitney in church with Kim Burrell.  Kim said Whitney wanted to preach and was speaking in tongues. That means Whitney had other gifts. Maybe it wasn't meant for Whitney Houston to reach people the Hollywood Way. The Hollywood Way is about fame and publicity and selling sex. Whitney needed to be around other Christians, and in that Hollywood world it can be very lonely. The kingdom of God is not of this world. Today's topic: Whitney Houston's Faith.  I'm Gail Nobles. Well, I didn't know her, but I believe her words because it seems to me she still speaks in dreams and works on the conscience. Fans are still talking about her, and she's been dead since 2001. It has nothing to do with an autopsy, a heartbeat, or a body. If you know anything about Christ, you know mystery. I didn't come to preach, but I don't know any other way to put it. If you know Him, you know some spiritual things. If Aaliyah is with him, it is possible that your dreams about her are real. These things can be hard to explain, and it's possible that the world around you can't receive it. Sometimes we are not allowed to speak, and Aaliyah didn't always speak or tell the world some things. That made her mysterious and her death a mystery. I remember the words of the late great Aaliyah when she said: It's been a long time. I shouldn't of left you, but now I'm back. Released on November 3, 1998, it reached number 36 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number eight on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart. In 2006, Ice-T was asked on Late Night with Conan O'Brien about what he has heard, besides rap music, in the last few years that really grabbed him and his only reply was "You Get What You Give". In a Time interview, U2 lead guitarist the Edge is quoted saying "You Get What You Give" is the song he is "most jealous of. I really would love to have written that." Something about the song hit me too when I heard it. I was in the middle of a sad thought. It made me forget that thought. The song makes you want to do something. The song plants a seed of life. Those are the kind of songs we need that makes us want to go on living. ‘Songs like Get What You Give' by the New Radicals I'm Gail Nobles. Thank you for listening to the Cat Bear.

He once said in an interview with Revolt: ‘that he grew up in a very negative and violent environment. He viewed music as a way to escape. He did not need to take his music and the same tension that was already happening around the house and in the street. So when he created songs, he wanted it to be a way to escape to places you never been to see things in your mind like pictures, positivity, romance, and love, and things that inspire you to do more. He wanted that in his music and to take you away from the negative things.' I knew I always liked him and his music for some reason. I thought the world of him when he made the rap song “Pray”. It was the truth. We got to pray just to make it today. It was a song released in August 1990, and even then there were negative things like violence going on. Hammer was encouraging people and telling the world how he worked hard to make it and on his knees every night to pray. Nothing happened until he prayed. Thank you Mr. MC Hammer for helping us to see something positive in your music. Thank you for encouraging us to keep on moving forward. Pray became Miss MC Hammer biggest hit on the US BillBoard Hot 100 where it peaked at number two. The track also became a top 40 hit in multiple countries. The song was certified gold in the US on November 26, 1990.

Story by: Gail NoblesPodcast cover art by: Gail NoblesToday I want to talk to you about Kool and the Gang and their album “Spirit of the Boogie”, and the album cover. Spirit of the Boogie is a six studio album by Kool and the Gang released in 1975. The sound of the music single reminds me of Jungle Boogie. You can hear Donald Boyce who was rapping on Jungle Boogie. I'm checking out the artwork on the album cover of Spirit of the Boogie. Its done by Frank Daniel (3). He is an art director and graphic designer on the record cover of the album Spirit of the Boogie. There are two side view green faces and the image of a woman in the middle. When I look at the woman, I think of dance. The two green faces makes me think of the spirit of boogie. The art reminds me of art I've seen for disco music. The words and colors look like art or the 1970s music style. I suppose when Frank Daniel made the art he was inspired by the music. Kool and the Gang is large with the music they have alto saxophone, bass drums, tenor saxophone, synthesizer, trombone, trumpet, guitar, and piano. You can hear it all in the music. They are a big band. I don't see many music bands today. I'm Gail Nobles. Today's topic: Kool and the Gang - Spirit of the Boogie.

It was written and produced by Babyface. I loved hearing Whitney sing that song. It's a beautiful ballad. I love the music put to it. The song is a great sound for R&B. I've seen comments on the song quite a bit, but I don't know how well the song has done on the charts. At the time it was released, it might not have been talked about as much, but I see comments on it now. The song is still new to me and fabulous. A good old-fashioned love song. Songs aren't made that good now, and now we hear the old songs. Now we see. Whitney Houston performed Until You Come Back live at the American musical awards in 1999. The song must have done well. Babyface was playing the piano, and Whitney's voice was very powerful as she was singing. And I was always listening for Whitney to hit the high note. Gail Nobles, and you're listening to the Whitney Soul Podcast.

Podcast vocals: By Gail NoblesAaliyah wasn't the only one that died in a plane crash in 2001. I remember another singer being pronounced dead in a plane crash in 2001 named Melanie Thornton. She sang the song titled Love How You Love Me. On the night of November 24, 2001. Thornton was one of the 24 people who died in the plane crash of Crossair Flight 3597 near Zürich Switzerland at the age of 34.The main cause of the accident was the Captain descending the plane too early causing it to crash into a forest area when it got too close to the ground. Thornton had given a performance in Leipzig and two hours later she took the flight from Berlin to Zürich for upcoming radio and TV appearances (among others, the broadcast Die Bar on TV3, which was cancelled) to promote her new single "Wonderful Dream (Holidays Are Coming)" (a Christmas ballad recorded for a German Coca-Cola TV commercial) and her album Ready to Fly. Thornton was laid to final rest in her native South Carolina, at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, in Mount Pleasant, Charleston County, South Carolina.Melanie Thornton was the lead singer of the Eurodance group La Bouche from 1994 to 2000, alongside American rapper and backing vocalist Lane McCray. Their two most successful singles, "Sweet Dreams" and "Be My Lover", were released in 1994 and 1995 respectively. After leaving the group, Thornton began a solo career and found success primarily in European countries before her death in 2001. Her solo songs include "Love How You Love Me", "Heartbeat", "Makin' Oooh Oooh (Talking About Love)" and "Wonderful Dream (Holidays are Coming)".I'm Gail Nobles. You're listening to The Cat Bear. Story: Jimmy Red PandaStory written by: Gail Nobles ©️2024Lyrics by: Gail NoblesArt by: Gail NoblesBackground music: Samplefocus.comUsage: Standard LicenseThere was a man whose name was Jimmy Panda. He was a tall and big man who people called the Cat Bear. Some called him the Red Panda. He sat down on a bar stool to shorten his height and smoked a cherry cigar to talk to women. The women felt that they needed a ladder to hug him when he stood.  Jimmy lived in the days of Music's Great Depression. Nobody was singing about love, and he would often dream about love. Jimmy was a playboy up and down the street going from house to house, but he was not happy. He didn't know what love was until he met a girl named Marha. Jimmy's mother and father would often worry about him being a wild guy running around. They thought someone would kill him. But when Jimmy met Martha, he married her and decided to settle down. He never returned to that lifestyle again. Jimmy became more interested in music and wanted to start a business. The Red Panda brought real music to bars and clubs. He told his story how he fell in love. He would sing a special song. He had everyone singing along. Jimmy got his own show and invited talented people to perform. He had it put on the air from his own home and brought back the music of love. Jimmy: I'm Jimmy Red Panda, and you're listening to the Cat Bear.

Wikipedia Today's topic: Aaliyah:Turn The Page. The song Turn The Page by Aaliyah is track three on Music of the Heart (The Album) produced by  Guy Roche. It was released in 1999. The song brings old memories to my mind. Aaliyah sung these words in the lyrics: What would I do if some strange morning I opened up my eyes to find you gone? I can't imagine how I would survive it. I'll find another reason to go on…. When I look back, you're everywhere. Turn the page, you were there. When Aaliyah asked the question ‘what would I do to find you gone',  those are words I always found myself asking about someone. I couldn't imagine how I would survive it, and I guess I found a reason to go on. Aaliyah has done a great job singing the song Turn the Page, and it's a great song a song with meaning and feeling. There were many nights and many mornings I had to turn the page to another chapter without that special someone but still intact in my heart. God answered every prayer. He showed me what was still there. Turn the page comes from the soundtrack of the film Music of the Heart. You can hear the song on YouTube.
