“No” is a complete sentence. It does not need justification or an explanation. In this episode, learn the power of “No.” Have you ever said “yes” to something that you absolutely didn't want to do? Happy Holidays! In this episodes, I discuss what to do when the holidays are not so merry. That funk that you're in during the holidays, that seems to last all winter long may be a more severe diagnosis called Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). SAD is a clinical depression that occurs during the winter months and It dissipates during the spring and summer months. This week, I share some highlights from my visit to Charleston, South Carolina. Charleston is the center of the slavery in America. Visiting a Plantation that was established in 1676 and seeing its slave quarters was a humbling experience. This prompted me to share an excerpt from my upcoming book. In a chapter, I ask the question “Are you the slave or the Master?” The slavery that I'm referring to is not the slavery that happened in this country hundreds of years ago. It's about the things that are in our lives that hold us hostage. I discuss how to use meditation to master the mind. By sharing one of my favorite stories of the Elephant and the Robe, I hope to get listeners thinking about breaking bonds that hold them down.
