During their interview Mark and Aaron talk about: Recently hanging out at Superstars Writing Seminars Aaron's creative life as an author, an actor, and a voice talent/narrator How Aaron started acting when he was eight years old, and his supportive father who took a "sure, let's do this" approach when Aaron's older siblings talked about wanting to get into acting Aaron's first scene doing a dark-themed dramatic monologue and how he fell in love with acting The list Aaron created at the age of 5 which included being a famous actor, a rock star, President of the United States, and a basketball star Being a voracious reader from an early age, with his favorite authors being Stephen King, William Shakespeare and Isaac Asimov Latching on to "found family" style stories from science-fiction disguised as "bad ass robot movies" Wanting to be a part of sharing stories that help remind people who feel alone or outcast that there's a place for them Being a guest star on a lot of cop, doctor, and lawyer shows on TV and having to have read hundreds of scripts - and how that has played a role in studying story Getting into writing books because of his sister C L Fors and her husband Jason Crawford suggesting it How writing stories and novels felt a lot like "coming home" The natural symbiotic relationship between performers of story and creators of story Some of the fundamental storytelling aspects that translate well from screenplays to narrative fiction, such as the "camera's focus" on the relevant details in a scene How having a healthy relationship with rejection as an actor has been helpful to Aaron in his role as a writer Having 17 auditions in person in a single day driving from 6 AM until midnight to get to the various offices and studios The concept of when you are doing an audition you're actually performing in front of an audience that's right there in the room (even if that audience is one or two or just a few people) - and that you're actually getting to do your job - you got to entertain Aaron's story "Best Foot Forward" which appeared in the anthology Weird Wilderness edited by Lisa Mangum The first two full length novel manuscripts that Aaron has written Aaron's work doing voice-over performances in various different categories How the industry for doing voice-over and narrator roles changed during the pandemic which allowed for a lot more work-from-home-studio opportunities The way that the narrator themselves add a layer of artistry to the manuscript they are reading The fact that Aaron is a dialectologist who studied in Masterclasses with Robert Easton And more . . . After the interview Mark makes an offer to his patrons for getting a chance to work with Aaron and also reflects on three different things that Aaron mentioned. Renee Rodriguez helps protective mothers in a custody battle against a narcissistic co-parent to go into family court and get the custody arrangement that's best for their kids. Like Renee, these women have suffered psychological abuse at the hands of their former partners and are working to ensure their children are protected from further cruelty. Her company, Best Foot Forward, is an example of a number of things: changing careers mid-life, pulling herself up after trauma, doing it all as a single mom, and bringing a sense of adventure and a sense of humor to it all…even with a heavy subject in which she immerses herself every day! Renee empowers parents to help themselves and find a shining bright light at the end of a long, dark tunnel. Her turning point was during her custody battle for her son, after leaving a relationship rife with mental abuse. As a daughter of a Puerto Rican father whose family sought a better life on the mainland when he was 12 and a mother who only later pursued her GED, education and hard work was impressed upon her. She was the first in her family to graduate from college, the perfect Catholic student, who ended up having a child with a cruel, covert narcissist (diagnosed). She had been a performance coach for a couple decades, and switched her career to help other women succeed in dealing with their narcissistic nightmares. Now she is focused on creating reverberating change in the new field of “divorce coaching,” as a custody consultant, Violence Against Women (VAW) Advocate, and a certified instructional designer, melding it together to allow abused parents to find self-empowerment again. The Custody Blueprint® (TCB) exists to prepare protective parents for court through Strategy, Mindset and Evidence and using truth and virtue even in the face of lies and manipulation. Renee finds that moms are dependent on their lawyers to save them, and they have no real sense of how best to present their evidence in court. What really sets her blueprint apart is focusing on the mindset of dealing with a high-conflict co-parent--both in a custody battle AND as a mom trying to co-parent with a damaged individual. She addresses the shame, the guilt and the helplessness through her TCB program.Learn more:thecustodyblueprint.comhttps://www.facebook.com/thecustodyblueprinthttps://www.instagram.com/thecustodyblueprint/https://www.youtube.com/@TheCustodyBlueprint

At the same time, Adam has become a star in the world of Paralympic sports both as a player (rugby) and a commentator. Your résumé and curriculum vitae (CV) are your calling cards into a new job or career. (To simplify matters, I am calling them your documents.) As such, they need to be honest, accurate, and impressive. Learn how to polish your résumé with Pat Iyer and Barbara Levin. In terms of honesty, it's important to remember that your personal data is available through a few keystrokes. Honesty is no longer the best policy; it's the only policy. Accuracy is also important. The attorney who may be considering hiring you want to know that you are meticulous in terms of fact-checking and research. Millions of dollars and a family's future financial welfare may depend on your ability to seek out the most important information. Be meticulous about billing. Don't allow a client to accrue a big bill and be as honest as you can in terms of estimating expenses. A further element of accuracy involves those all-too-often ignored aspects of spelling, punctuation, and grammar. An attorney reading your CV will notice typos and other errors, He or she may pick up factual inaccuracies or discrepancies in the dates of your work history. You can't afford errors here. Polishing Your Résumé - Here's what you'll get out of this session: What is the difference between a résumé and a CV? Why is it essential to regularly review each for accuracy? How to Split a Toaster: A divorce podcast about saving your relationships
When you hear the term ‘Custody Battle,' you have a certain image in your mind. Courtroom fights, crying kids, the worst stereotypes we learn from movies and television. But what happens when you find yourself in a fight for the custody of your kids for real? This week on the show, we welcome Reneé Rodriguez, custody coach and founder of Best Foot Forward, a company with a singular mission: helping parents navigate family court in contentious custody situations. We talk about perspective – look at what you're bringing to your lawyer. Are they gripes? Or are they real issues? There's a difference between the real world and the legal world, and it's important to know the difference. The goal, of course, is to help you as the parent figure out what's actually in your best interest. That doesn't necessarily line up with what you think is in your best interest. The faster you're able to connect with that, the easier your custody battle will be.The key in all custody cases is, of course, the kids. How do you protect your kids so they are damaged as little as possible in the process? This is particularly true when trying to get away from a spouse who is a narcissist or abusive. And the real struggle here is that you have to acknowledge that court-ordered parenting classes rarely make a change in a parent. Courts can't order parents change to be better parents. But judges are real people. They're working to help the child end up in the best situation they can. There's a lot to discuss about this topic. Tune in!About ReneéI help parents in a custody battle against a narcissistic co-parent to go into family court and get the custody arrangement that's best for their kids. These women and men have suffered psychological abuse at the hands of their former partners and are working to ensure their children are protected from further cruelty. My company, Best Foot Forward, was founded in early 2018, born out of the encouragement of others to focus on what I had become highly skilled at--navigating family court with my particular strategy and set of templates and sharing all of this with others.Links & NotesNational Domestic Violence HotlineBest Foot Forward LLCBest Foot Forward's Custody TemplatesReneé on LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTubeSchedule a consult with SethGot a question you want to ask on the show? This message features short clips from the critically acclaimed TV series Best Foot Forward, which is based on the true story of Paralympic athlete Josh Sundquist and his book "Just Don't Fall." This series of 10 episodes was released on AppleTV+ in 2022. No copyright is claimed for Best Food Forward, and we assert that use of the short clips within this sermon is permissible under fair use principles in U.S. copyright law. Liquid Church is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, specifically, a non-denominational Christian Church, and the purpose of using this media is non commercial in nature. Best Foot Forward is ground-breaking in that it doesn't just feature actors with disabilities, some of the crew behind the camera have special needs as well. The Executive Producer, Josh Sundquist, lost his left leg to bone cancer when he was 10, and the show is based on his life story. It's a very compassionate, family-friendly show with a powerful message about disability and inclusion that we need to hear. At Liquid Church, we have a huge heart for kids and families with Special Needs. It's core to who we are as Christ followers. Why? We are simply following Jesus' example. Did you know that almost 70% of Jesus' miracles involved people with disabilities?! The Bible leaves no doubt: Jesus cares for the disabled. And, He had a unique vision for His church, to create the one place in the world where those with physical, emotional, and intellectual limitations are completely loved. For those who are differently abled, your disability doesn't define you. You were made in the image of God. You are His masterpiece! That defines you. And while God didn't give you your disability or pain, if you give it to God, He will use it for His purpose! He can turn your challenge or your weakness into good. Watch this message from Pastor Tim Lucas, and discover how God's power is made perfect in our weakness. #LiquidChurch #BestFoodForward #SpecialNeeds
At Olympic training camp in France, Ariarne Titmus spoke with the media about a myriad of topics heading into the Paris Games. Titmus is coming to Paris as the defending Olympic champion in both the 200 and 400 freestyles, both of which she holds the world record in and #1 rank worldwide this season. Titmus also won a silver medal in the 800 free at the last Olympics and looks to put her best foot forward again in that race, saying that her training has indicated better results than what she's been able to post.
Renee has been told what she does is unique–she helps protective mothers in a custody battle against a narcissistic co-parent to go into family court and get the custody arrangement that's best for their kids. Like her, these women have suffered psychological abuse at the hands of their former partners and are working to ensure their children are protected from further cruelty. Her company, Best Foot Forward, has been around for over 5 years. It's an example of a number of things: changing careers mid-life, pulling oneself up after trauma, doing it all as a single mom, and bringing a sense of adventure and a sense of humor to it all…even a heavy subject like what she immerses herself in every day! And that's what she does–follow a business model focused on empowering parents to help themselves and find a shining bright light at the end of a long, dark tunnel. Her turning point was during her custody battle for her son, after leaving a relationship rife with mental abuse. As a daughter of a Puerto Rican father whose family sought a better life on the mainland when he was 12 and a mother who only later pursued her GED, education and hard work was impressed upon her. She was the first to graduate from college, the perfect Catholic student, who ended up having a child with a cruel, covert narcissist (diagnosed). Now she's focused on creating reverberating change in the new field of “divorce coaching”, as a custody consultant, Violence Against Women (VAW) Advocate, and a certified instructional designer…melding it all together to allow abused parents to find self-empowerment again. With Adam absent due to sickness, on this week's episode of Rival Radio with the Four Sportsmen, Jason and Fabian try their best to carry Will's dead weight. Judging from the short run time of this episode it's clear how uninteresting Will is. We do apologize if this week's show isn't as entertaining and funny without Adam in the studio. We are sure Jason and Fabian gave their best efforts. #thefoursportsmen #rivalradio Facebook - TheFourSportsmenPodInstagram - @thefoursportsmenTikTok - @thefoursportsmen

Do you think you're awkward? Awesome! Let it shine! I've met very few people who don't consider themselves to be awkward in one way or another. That leads me to believe that our unique awkwardnesses are part of what makes us awesome! This is the third episode in our myth-busting series where we break down the difference between the world's attitude and expectations of relationships versus the Soul-Anchored view. In this episode, we bust the myth that when you are getting to know someone, you should only put forward your best, most socially acceptable self. But we think that you should put forward your authentic self, no matter what! Awkward isn't bad. We're all awkward in our own ways! Awkward can be very attractive to the right person. Know how and why you are awkward and be confident in it - own it! If you're interested in friendship or another kind of relationship, don't play hard to get. Playing games shows a lack of maturity. If you like someone, feel free to tell them what you like about them. One of the nicest things anyone ever said to me was, “I like you. Let's be friends.” We also spend a little time on the difference between Authenticity and Vulnerability – a bit topic we'll dive into more in the future. Have you believed this relationship myth - consciously or subconsciously? What can you do to make sure you've busted it in your mind so it doesn't creep into your relationships?
