The Magicians of Atrocity - in Honor of Arrested Georgia Representative Park Cannon for Knocking On The Door When Horrendous Voter Suppression Bill Was Being Signed Into Law

The spirit of Trump is still with us in the halls of white supremacist power. Gov Brian Kemp of Georgia signalled to the white policemen present in the Georgia State Capitol last week on 3-25-21 to arrest Ga Representative Park Cannon for daring to knock on the closed doors where/while Kemp was signing the state's racist voter suppression bill into law, flanked by six old white men, with the idyllic painting of a sunlit slavery plantation behind them as a backdrop. 244 other similar bills have been proposed all across the USA in 43 states, by Republicans who cannot win without keeping potential antagonistic voters away. Included in the Georgia bill that discriminates against people of color and poor people, extremely reducing number of dropboxes in black and hispanic neighborhoods, cutting back places to vote, and numbers of days for early voting, including only allowing one Sunday when black voters can visit polling places transported with fellow church members in their "souls to the polls" campaign. The most egregious and cruelly insane of all the components of the new law is the criminalizing of sharing water and food with people forced to wait in terribly long lines for hours because of the discriminatory practices the law will perpetuate and worsen. The reference to the former Chilean dictator Pinochet popped onto the page probably because praise for this horrible mass-murderer is surfacing recently in right wing autocratic media. And you know about Auschwitz. Where the ovens burned night and day immolating Jews and gypsies in the days of Adolf Hitler. Newly elected Senator Rafael Warnock, who happens to also be the pastor for Rep. Cannon, at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta - where the Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. used to preach - has stated "We will keep knocking at that door." As the good ole boy racist network now stands naked, after so brazenly passing such a monstrous racist law for all to see - - -

Even if the major factor in the vacuum is the negative of Donald departing from any significant power over 330 Million Americans.

Jan 20 can't come soon enough? At least Trump is hiding away so we don't have to hear that voice of his and all his hateful incapable blaming denigrating words. Even the tweets are toning down. But he is President. And he does have a job for which he is responsible to all of us Americans. Shedding ruination on our nation as he throws his garbage all over the floor as he slowly heads out the door. In spite. And despair. He knows what challenges are ahead of him. So he's sucking the money out of his supporters to pay his lawyers for what is coming in the courts. Though some of those millions will pay for his leisure and his leadership of his frustrated base. And plenty of golf, where he cheats. Ever read 'Commander In Cheat' ?? about his cheating, especially when he plays golf. Where you are supposed to behave honorably when you play and score yourself. It's almost over. The worst presidential reign in history has 34 days left in which to torture us. Betrayed followers ready to kill for their conman. The veil still covering their corneas in a coat of white pus. Why have decent people been subjected to such gross lying destructive autocratic behavior? And never a word to Putin while having a bullyname for everyone else? Mankind is not what we think we are. Not when we see this specimen leading 70 million fools to treat him like a cult leader. Abandoning us in the face of the worst pandemic in a century. Because he is incapable. All he can do is denigrate, blame, inflame, be the racist that he is and the opportunist. Defacing the nation. That needs a tune-up. The honor we thought was innate in us shown not to be. Not with Trump as the figurehead. Not the leader. And the courts are waiting. Justice holds up an ear for the noontime whistle on Jan 20, 2021. When we will be more relieved of him. But not totally. He'll haunt us with hate and divisiveness. Trying to hold off what he deserves. In the tradition of Trump University and the Trump Foundation and the other lies and scams he dumps on us to coil our consciousness in disgust of what he does, has done, and still will do. A desperate man will do desperate things. It's not over til it's over. And it's not. Until he sits in prison, or time wounds all heals . . . 34 More Days

Trump and Nixon: Two self-labelled 'law-and-order' presidents - who both were/are crooks. And publicly denied/deny it. Throw in Ronald Reagan, our third modern-day law-and-order president, with his Iran-Contra Scandal and the cocaine smuggling along with guns and money and our supposed enemy in the Ayatollah Khomeini reign of the 1980s, the country of Iran. All three presidents acted as if they were above the law. Trump and Nixon actually had a correspondence going on pre-social media, with handwritten letters. Many of these are being preserved in the Richard Nixon Library. The letter exchange continued for about ten years in the 1980s into early 1994, when Nixon died in April. They shared a distrust of the media, a desire to maximize TV ratings, the idea of using people as 'props,' etc.* John Dean, a central figure in revealing the depth and deceit of the Watergate election scandal of 1972 and thereafter, was Nixon's White House counselor. He thinks these cronies were 'two authoritarian personalities who would have a natural affinity for each other."** If you look a little deeper, Trump wanted to convince Nixon to move into his Trump Tower building (TT) on Fifth Avenue. To make it look more attractive to other wealthy possible patrons. Nixon was living in NYC at the time, about four miles away from TT. Nixon never did make the move, as his wife Pat had a stroke during the time Trump was working on him to do so. Trump did not attend Nixon's funeral. Deep Throat was Bernstein and Woodward's secret Watergate contact during that scandal. They would meet under cover of night or the concrete in underground parking garages at 2 in the morning. * and ** 'Trump-Nixon Letters Highlight Unique Relationship' Sept 23, 2020 News/Elections Aljazeera

Trump only cares about one person: himself. He revels in rallies. Where people don't wear masks, and pack themselves together. While the number of new Covid cases keeps rising, setting records almost every day, along with hospitalizations. And with his administration doing as bad as it is with Covid, he lies to his followers over and over again, lately telling them "We're rounding the corner." Do these people read or watch the news? Don't they realize how badly he is lying? 47 out of 50 states have rising numbers of new Covid cases today. Have they heard that Trevor Lawrence, the best college football player in the country has just tested positive for Covid? He's not playing against Boston College and maybe not the next week against Notre Dame. His symptoms initially are reported as mild. But what if he transmitted it to his teammates or perhaps to older people that he has met out in the real world? Donald Trump, a man without a moral anchor. Sabotaging the post office so you should NOT mail in your mail-in ballots anymore. You've got to go vote in person now. Trump is sabotaging our right to vote - by mail if people wish; his posse of n'er-do-wells are threatening not to count main-in votes in several counties in Pennsylvania, a crucial 'battleground' state. How have we allowed this to happen to our country? How can people vote against their own best interests, including those of democracy? Trump an autocrat wannabe. But if he loses he keeps talking about having to leave the country. Because prison awaits? . . . Many of you are aware that when he stepped into Air Force One to leave Nebraska behind him, he left many people in the lurch on the ground that had attended his rally, without transportation to get them back home on a freezing night. 30 buses-worth of supporters whom the supported demon cared nothing for . . . 'He Doesn't Care About You.' Today's Trump Poem

Covid-19 is hitting its highest heights in the USA. And of all the places on Earth, the two Dakotas, North and South, are leading the charge, with the highest per capita incidence of new Covid cases. Kristi Noem, South Dakota's Governor, rules her desolate state fiefdom. With her unrepentant approach to mitigating Covid-19's relentless march across her state. Which is no masks, no mitigation. Stubborn. Defiant. Unrepentant. Meanwhile, Donald Trump is telling his rallyists that as far as Covid goes, we are turning the corner. How can his followers actually believe him on this one? If they watch TV they have to know that the Covid-19 Pandemic in USA is the worst it has ever been. Liar. Pathological Liar. Trump. Leading our country into apocalypse. Amazing! isn't it?!? Meanwhile tomorrow Oct 27 2020, Mitch McConnell intends to bring up a vote to confirm the other unrepentant Republicans' Supreme Court judgeship hijack. This can indeed be stopped if the Democrats in the Senate stand up tall in unison to stop this unjust thrust into the heart of our democracy. After Barack Obama was told in mid-March 2016 that he wouldn't get a hearing for anyone he nominated for SCOTUS replacement of the late Antonin Scalia because it was 'too close to the election' 8 months away in the future. And now this rule bait-and-switch a week before the election!! A vote heralded to come possibly tomorrow. Filibustering daily, one Senator after the other, until Inauguration Day Jan. 20th, along with saying "I OBJECT!!" to any asking for 'unanimous consent' during the Senate days until Inauguration Day, can blow the doors closed on this SCOTUS game being played unfairly. But the tools are there. The Democrats must use them. With intense determination and devotion to our country. To save us from our own lack of integrity, and/or lack of grit to do this like hardy boisterous soldiers! The New York Times called him one of the "nation's most aggressive and outspoken prosecutors of public corruption and Wall Street Crime" during his tenure. Bharara had been asked to remain in his post by the Trump transition team in November 2016, but on 2nd thought decided to fire him instead in March 2017 as he might be investigating the Trump Organization, operating out of Manhattan, in the heart of the Southern District of New York. Yesterday saying if he loses to Joe Biden, who he said was the worst presidential candidate ever in the history of the USA (projecting again), maybe he should leave the country. Why did he offer such words? Freudian slip? That would make many Americans very happy. But there has to be more behind his off the cuff remark than a mere question lacking significant context. He does owe $410 million to someone or some entity. There's the moneylaundering allegations sloshing around in the background. There's the Russian hacking of our elections during the last four years that Trump denied at Helsinki in front of the whole world. Trusting the word of a murderous KGB-trained dictator over our own intelligence services! Remember what Trump said about firing the NFL players who kneeled during the playing of the national anthem? We must use the tools we were given 'to protect the minority from being trampled by an irresponsible majority' - as Indivisible says.' We can gum up the Senate until Inauguration Day by using these tools we have been given. To prevent this unfair Supreme Court hearing from coming to fruition. We can fight unfairness, as in what happened to Merrick Garland's March 2016 Supreme Court nomination never having a hearing 8 months before Election Day 2016 because it was characterized as being too close to the election by Mitch McConnell and the Republicans. But the Republicans wiping that act away as if it never happened. Thinking they can get away with what they are doing in the Senate right now. Which can be slowed and driven to a halt! From Kahlil Gibran: 'Strength and tolerance are partners.' 'We all admire strength, but the majority is most impressed by it when it is without form and stability. Few are those who respect strength when it is clearly defined and has meaningful ends.' Today's poem is 'Halt The Hearing - Object!!! and Filibuster!!!' How we are perceiving and treating Covid-19 has been changing and evolving. First it was no, masks did not help. Then by June 2020, yes, we said, masks do help. That includes the World Health Organization or the WHO, saying as late as the end of March that masks do not help. And even saying today that aerosol infection is not significant. We shall see. This poem is a snapshot from June 8 2020 when the USA had exceeded 100,000 deaths from Covid, due to our paralyzed President and his scientific ignorance interfering with our nationwide response. Not helping procure and produce protective gear and adequate testing supplies for our nation. Which now has over 215,000 deaths due to Covid. Our President afflicted himself. Still infectious as far as we know. Irresponsibly going back to the White House to endanger the people who work there. A host of his staff have been stricken by the disease. The midwest is peaking with new cases and deaths. It should be obvious now what should be done. But Trump cannot admit to any mistakes. His father and his mafioso lawyer Roy Cohn mentored him never to do that. Which doesn't conjoin well with science. Where theories are made, studies are done, assumptions must be revised and cast anew. But not if Donald Trump has anything to say about it. Or lie about it. In the death throes of his last weeks as President. Or can he weasel his way out of a loss by pulling out all the stops of deviousness and dirty play? While another 100,000 or more Americans will die before another President can come to the USA's rescue? Not a pretty picture. But this is what it looked like to me on June 8th 2020 . . .

Caroline Randall Williams, the poet, and author of the brilliant NY Times Opinion piece 'You Want A Confederate Monument? My Body Is A Confederate Monument.' observed on the Lawrence O'Donnell show October 8, 2020 that Harris seemed to be looking ahead into the future with optimism. Talking to the youth of today who will be changing this country toward a better direction. While she thought Pence was looking backward, preserving the old establishment, the white racist establishment. The future is now. Donald Trump, Mike Pence, William Barr et al are trying to take us backwards, giving more traction to our racist ways, instead of following the demand of the public for more tolerance, and realization that by mid-century, people of color will outnumber white people. Whatever 'white people' means. When the Italians came over to this side of the Atlantic they were not considered white. Until it was politically expedient to add their numbers to increase the count of 'white people.' After they had met terrible racism in their first years in the USA. Black people and indigenous people, and Trump's 'Mexican gang' members, are still dealing with the racism of the moment. Which can be changed. Meanwhile our probably still infectious Leader has demanded his way back home, to endanger everyone in the White House with possible Covid infection. He has to have his way! And remember Hope Hicks, we hear, found out she was positive last Tuesday, 8 days ago, Sept 30. She travelled on Trump's plane. If he knew she was positive before boarding, would he have still taken her along? So, did she find out en route, and THEN self-quarantined on the plane, They Say???? Now!? And then everybody on that plane on Sept 30 should have self-quarantined thereafter. But no, not our spoiled brat President. No, he had go to several functions and meet with people and not wear a mask all the time, including meeting with his donors in a smallish room around a table, for 45 minutes in Bedminster, NJ. Those people are just SO happy with him, and his ultra-selfish behavior. And finally on Oct 1 Trump reportedly tests positive and ends up spending the weekend in the hospital. Reportedly his oxygen level dropped twice, and he required supplemental oxygen. Plus the two new drugs Remdesivir and Regeneron. And for an extra-added attraction, dexamethasone, as an anti-inflammatory agent. Which sometimes makes patients act in bizarre fashion. A poll was done a couple of days ago where 63% of those polled said Trump acted irresponsibly, in the situation described above. For one is infectious 2.5 days before symptoms appear, research is showing us; and the infectiousness peaks 0.7 days before symptoms appear. And typically lasts about one week. There have been patients whose infectiousness lasts longer, up to a few weeks. And then there are the critical patients on the ventilators in our hospitals who could be infectious for even longer periods of time. This poem is really an extreme fantasy of being Invincible. This poem on re-listening to it seems to be a personification of Mr. Trump and his own aggressive infective nature. 210,000 deaths in the USA and counting from Covid-19. Hopefully, Donald Trump will not be another death added to the total. Melania seems to be less sick. Who knows how many of the exposed individuals at the many events Trump attended this past week will fall sick. No masks, no peace. Be Nice? Are we talking about Donald Trump!?? But, why not be chivalrous and uplifting, rather than disgraceful and embarrassing? We are post - 'debate' three days, more lying from Trump not knowing who the Proud Boys are when his son Don Jr. has been pictured with one of their leaders. He can't stop. He can't control himself. What a model for our nation! Our kids will be thinking that lying is normal, as is viciousness and intimidation and bullying and racist hate. But we do know Donald is insecure. Especially if we listen to his niece, psychologist Mary Trump, and his most intimate connection to the world for a decade, his designated thug and lawyer/fixer Michael Cohen in his new book 'Disloyal' - with its very interesting and entertaining view into our most evil, underhanded, lying, incapable President ever. Oh, yeah, and karma has struck its unavoidable gong: Donald, Melania, and Hope Hicks are testing positive for the coronavirus. Hopefully they will survive and come out the other side healthy with the after effects of humility and thankfulness infused into their souls.

For all the people who had hopes we were at the tipping point to deal with our centuries of endemic racism, those who marched peacefully, with respect for everyone, those who continue to suffer at the whim of racists who still rule this country, or do not condemn it and allow it to fester and continue....here is the poem 'Thicket Of Racists.'

After the extremely rude interruptive debate behavior of Donald Trump in 2020 Presidential Debate #1 Sept 29, Rudy Giuliani professes what a great performance Trump gave the nation. He is tweeting it widely, to much derision and annoyance, if you read the comments to his posts. But Rudy has been in Trump's corner before. Sinking to the level of the conman when he once had been a respected prosecutor. I'm not sure how respected he was as a Mayor of NYC, nor as a faithful husband. Michael Cohen's book 'Disloyal' is prominent right now, with much personal information that is very informative about his ex-Boss' personality and exploits. This poem actually was written in 2018, but with Rudy acting up, and Trump flaunting the debate rules to ruin the value of the debate itself, this poem re-arises to give us a window into this unholy trio on the eve of the 2020 election. When Rudy is electioneering for Trump, and the imprisoned Cohen is spilling the beans of truth behind Trump's racist curtain, not to mention the Proud Boys. Trump emboldening them and other right wing hate groups by declining to condemn them and other white supremacists threatening violence, when asked point blank by moderator from FOX News Chris Wallace. Robert Mueller is referred to in this poem, as is former WWII Japanese Emperor Hirohito, as history has moved along. Meanwhile, Trump and Giuliani are going down in flames supporting each other's ineffable delusionary kamikaze self-destruction - respectively. Although I don't think that last word fairly could apply to either of them.

Always spoken by Trump to Cohen as all three names with the accent on the Hussein. 'Trump And His Followers,' today's poem, is in the moment with what is going on today with how much Trump's followers will allow themselves to accept. In their own decrepitude, as this man goes more and more ballistic in his blatant grab for power toward being The Dictator of America for Life. Unless he loses the 2020 election. Which would put him in an entirely different situation with the rule of law. That he has shown he cares little about. Same for our constitution. Same for, of course, our first woman to ever lie in state in the history of the USA. And second woman to serve on the Supreme Court. Earning respect around the globe. But practically none with the most powerful Republicans, who only want to replace her ASAP with someone who can judge the 2020 election into a Trump win. Feckless - definition: lacking strength of character; irresponsible Birtherism: no such term or word until 2011, when Donald Trump realized it would be a good idea to question if Barack Hussein Obama was born in the USA? or Kenya was his place of birth?

Extinction of a species unique to a biome or perhaps a virome. This occurs every day, but is accelerated by the massive plundering and destroying of our environment, our planet, to the point today of now threatening our very existence. 'Rooted in an economic model based on the illusion of limitless growth and limitless greed, which violate planetary boundaries, and destroy the integrity of ecosystems and individual species.' That is what Vandana Shiva writes in her new book 'Oneness and the 1%.' From which I am sharing a couple of paragraphs in today's recorded podcast. Sound like something you know? Like Trump's 'philosophy'** of taking without giving, or considering anything besides his anthropocentric self and his greedy fellow plunderers as the center of the universe? Whatever happened to peace and love? or peaceful co-existence? and tolerance? instead of racism and hate? Why are we allowing ourselves to be drawn down to the lowest common denominator by this denigrating insecure man deathly afraid of his karma coming to roost if he loses the election? Cheating like a demon, wrecking the very foundations of our democratic system, yearning to be Dictator and President-for-Life of our USA in his mad scramble to protect himself from the rule of law, AND the constitution - which he has grossly failed to protect. ** I know, I'm giving him way way way too much credit. He functions by instinct. Deep consideration is foreign to him and his decision making. Which he owes to us, an entire country of citizens for whom he is theoretically responsible. Our democracy is in danger. Donald Trump is tipping us into his autocratic rule, aided by Mitch McConnell. 200,000 dead from the Coronavirus and he wants a mandate to continue acting out as badly as he has so far?! Now trying to replace Ruth Bader Ginsburg (RBG) while 2020 voting has already started, after McConnell and the self-righteous Republicans declared in March 2016 that Barack Obama nominating a replacement for Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court could not be accepted! It was too close to election day!! 8 months away. And now we are actually in the process of the elections with Election Day itself less than 6 weeks away. Now, to fight this unscrupulous sneak attack on our sense of fairness and justice by Mitch McConnell, our patriotism is called upon to save our country. Our politicians must do what they have been destined to do. And they must do it Obstinately!!! As the Republicans play, our heroes must fight back with equal force! And up the ante!! Despite RBG's dying wish that her replacement not be confirmed until a new president has been installed, Mitch McConnell has elected not to respect her wish. But Senate Democrats have the power to stop him and his unethical Republicans. The Senate runs on unanimous consent. If a single Senator objects to anything, even routine procedure, everything grinds to a halt. That is what Senate Democrats must do: block unanimous consent on every single thing for the rest of the year and until Inauguration Day. They will have to battle to exhaustion, like good soldiers! It will be America's best chance to stop Trump and McConnell from ruthlessly damaging our country. This poem was written in September of 2017. It has the feeling of today and the evil seething our towers, steaming them up with ANGER!! The word near the end of the poem is mysterioused - make more mysterious. 'Invisible Sorcerers Working For Secret Contractors.' I'd like to dedicate it to my contractor friends Kelvin, Pete, Billy K, and Jess down on Marco Island.

Always the best. The biggest. Now we are bearing the fruit of our subjection to this venal cheat and conman. As he pushed Sean Spicer run out there to lie about the inauguration crowd, unable to even to properly tie his tie, now he lies and cheats about his performance with the Covid-19 epidemic. Two hundred thousand dead and he's doing a fine job. Sabotaging the post office to suppress the vote-by-mail in the time of Covid. Intending to take away your earned Social Security pension money by cancelling the payroll tax which would fund it for the next 20 years at least. In order to privatize it. People who don't read, believing his outlandish lies. Remember, he did say the coronavirus pandemic was a hoax as the year began and the number of deaths and new cases started mushrooming. In America Double-Crossed Trump is already foreseen as a madman dictator. As he is who would prefer to be President for life. Rules really not made for him. He just plays to win. Democracy be damned. Morals non-existent in Trump's conscience. Roi d'Or is French for King of Gold. Today's Trump Poem podcast is one that I wrote today, in reaction to this next troubling event on the Trump road to authoritarian rule. Hayes is interviewing author Baron Gellman who wrote a very essential piece in the November Atlantic magazine (available online now) entitled 'The Election That Could Break America.' Gellman reveals that Trump is preparing to steal the November 3rd election in many devious ways - including arranging battleground states to appoint electors to the electoral college that will be loyal to him. Whether the voters vote predominantly Republican or Democrat. Trump already hiring 1000 lawyers to organize chaos and hanky-panky around November 3rd Election Day to check ballots, and individual signatures. Trump followers intending to gather at polling places to intimidate voters. I thought this was illegal, to campaign on election day within a certain distance deemed too close to the place of polling. . .? Our conscience must be awakened. We know it's there. Mitch McConnell denies President Obama a hearing for his nomination of a Supreme Court replacement for Judge Antonin Scalia in February 2016, eleven months before the inauguration of a new President. Now he wants to approve someone 6 weeks before the November 2020 election, ignoring his self-righteous rule . Our conscience usually reminds us to do the right thing, weigh right and wrong, act in the spirit of Justice & Fairness. Almost all of the Republicans have reversed what they said concerning Obama's nomination of Merrick Garland in 2016, saying YES they will hear President Trump submit his nominee 6 weeks before the 2020 election. Here's what some of them said back in early 2016 though: Joni Ernst of Iowa: when opposing a vote for Obama's nominee before the 2016 November election said: “In the midst of a critical election, the American people deserve to have a say in this important decision that will impact the course of our country for years to come.” Thom Tillis of North Carolina: In 2016, Tillis argued against considering Obama's nominee: "We are in the middle of a presidential election, and the Senate majority is giving the American people a voice to determine the direction of the Supreme Court [once a new President is elected]." Sen. Ron Johnson, R-Wis., in 2016: said “Let the American people have a voice in the composition of the Supreme Court. Instead of a lame duck president and Senate nominating and confirming, a new president and Senate – elected by the people only a few months from now – should make that important decision. ... In the politicized atmosphere of an election year, you probably shouldn't even nominate someone. ... It's not fair to the nominee, it's not fair to the court." That was then. This is now. Power over Justice & Fairness? Barack Obama himself stated the following on September 18, 2020, after Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death at age 87: 'A basic principle of the law — and of everyday fairness — is that we apply rules with consistency, and not based on what's convenient or advantageous in the moment. The rule of law, the legitimacy of our courts, the fundamental workings of our democracy all depend on that basic principle. As votes are already being cast in this election, Republican Senators are now called to apply that standard.' Conscience! Conscience! American people. Do unto others how you would have them do unto you. Ruth Bader Ginsburg aka RBG expressed her last fervent wish was to be replaced by a NEW President.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg's "most fervent wish is that I will not be replaced until a new President is installed." This from one of our greatest advocates for women and women's rights.
