The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (05/14/2025): 3:05pm- Newsom Flip-Flop: California Governor Gavin Newsom (D) is now calling for fiscal responsibility—and is advocating to curtail healthcare benefits offered to undocumented migrants residing in the Golden State. His proposal will freeze enrollment and will charge those who currently are enrolled a monthly fee. For years, Newsom has advocated for free universal healthcare for all. So, what changed? Rich notes that Newsom is preparing for a 2028 presidential run and is trying to distance himself from failed, unpopular policies—but don't believe his sudden shift towards political moderation is genuine. 3:30pm- Michael Whatley—Chairman of the Republican National Committee—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the “one big, beautiful bill” being negotiated in the House and Senate which would make Trump's 2017 tax cuts permanent. Chairman Whatley also weighs in on the New Jersey gubernatorial election, explaining: “this is a very winnable race.” 3:50pm- During his visit to Qatar on Wednesday, President Donald Trump announced that Qatar Airways will be purchasing 210 airplanes from the U.S. manufacturer Boeing. The deal is reportedly worth $200 billion. 3:55pm- While promoting his new book, “Original Sin: President Biden's Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” CNN's Jake Tapper revealed that a White House physician informed then-President Joe Biden's aides that he might require the assistance of a wheelchair in his second term if he were to continue falling. While Tapper is reporting on these stories now, why wasn't he doing so prior to Biden's withdrawal from the 2024 presidential election? 4:05pm- While speaking from Riyadh, President Donald Trump announced that Saudi Arabia will be investing $600 billion in the United States economy—focusing on technology development and including a $142 billion defense sales agreement. During one address, Trump stated of previous administration policies regarding the Middle East: "In the end, the so-called nation-builders wrecked far more nations than they built. And the interventionists were intervening in complex societies that they didn't understand themselves." 4:15pm- During an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, President Donald Trump implored Iran to abandon their quest to develop nuclear weapons—noting that during his first administration, strict sanctions on Iran prevented them from funding terror efforts throughout the Middle East. 4:20pm- Should President Trump accept a $400 million plane from Qatar? According to reports, it would replace the current Air Force One—which is nearly 40 years old—and would eventually be gifted to the Trump Presidential Library after Trump leaves office in 2029. Appearing on Fox News, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) said accepting the gift would be a violation of the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution and is not worth even “the appearance of impropriety.” 4:40pm- Should Rich let Mama Zeoli produce one segment of the show every Friday—where she'll get to select topics? Plus, is Phil Murphy the worst governor in modern New Jersey history. And Rich keeps missing his break times…turns out his clock is broken. 5:00pm- On Friday, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka alongside Congressmembers Bonnie Watson-Coleman, LaMonica McIver, and Rob Menendez visited the Delaney Hall Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility in New Jersey—at one point trespassing which led to a confrontation with ICE officials and the eventual arrest of Mayor Baraka. ICE has released bodycam footage of the altercation which shows Rep. McIver attempting to physically shove past ICE agents. Meanwhile, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio Cortez threatened Republicans with retaliation if Democrat lawmakers are charged with crimes for their involvement in the Delaney Hall incident. 5:20pm- During Wednesday's House Homeland Security Committee hearing, Departmen ...

The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 2: 4:05pm- Alexis Sneller—Policy Analyst for PA Family Council—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the Pennsylvania state Senate ‘s passage of the “Save Women's Sports Act.” She explains that SB9 reinforces common sense and basic fairness. If it passes in the House, will Governor Josh Shapiro (D-PA) sign the bill? 4:15pm- Did Rich mention he was on Fox News today? 4:20pm- Should President Trump accept a $400 million plane from Qatar? According to reports, it would replace the current Air Force One—which is nearly 40 years old—and would eventually be gifted to the Trump Presidential Library after Trump leaves office in 2029. Appearing on Fox News, Sen. Rich says yes…then no….but probably yes…
The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Show (05/13/2025): 3:05pm- The Democratic National Committee has taken the initial steps to void the results of a party election that resulted in David Hogg and Kenyatta Johnson winning Vice Chair positions. According to complaints, the initial vote disadvantaged female candidates. However, Rich speculates that the real reason Hogg is on the verge of being replaced is because he has threatened to spend $20 million primarying moderate Democrats in the House of Representatives. 3:10pm- According to a report from Politico, internal polling suggests that Senator John Fetterman's (D-PA) support with Pennsylvania-based Democrats has faded—with only 46% having a “favorable” opinion of him currently. Meanwhile, New York Magazine reports that staffers for Fetterman are voicing concerns about the state of his mental health. But are these stories suddenly being pushed because Fetterman has vocally opposed the far-left? While speaking with reporters on Capitol Hill last week, Fetterman called the article a “hit piece” and noted that it only has one source. 3:20pm- While promoting his new book, “Original Sin: President Biden's Decline, Its Cover-up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” CNN's Jake Tapper revealed that a White House physician informed then-President Joe Biden's aides that he might require the assistance of a wheelchair in his second term if he were to continue falling. While Tapper is reporting on these stories now, why wasn't he doing so prior to Biden's withdrawal from the 2024 presidential election? 3:35pm- While speaking with Ross Douthat of The New York Times, Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT) struggled to defend his position that biological males should be permitted to participate in women's sports. Rich jokes: this might the worst answer to a question since Kamala Harris's appearance on The View just before the 2024 presidential election. 3:40pm- Democrat political strategist James Carville is now imploring his party to stop using terms like “intersectionality” and “oligarch”—noting that common Americans don't use those terms and “don't know what the f*** you're talking about.” 3:55pm- While speaking from Riyadh, President Donald Trump announced that Saudi Arabia will be investing $600 billion in the United States economy—focusing on technology development and including a $142 billion defense sales agreement. Over the weekend, the news broke that President Donald Trump is accepting a luxury jet from the country of Qatar for presidential travel. This extraordinarily brazen act may well violate the Emoluments Clause, which bars foreign gifts to officials unless expressly authorized by Congress. It comes even as Trump is embarking on a Mideast trip to countries that are the sites of Trump-branded projects, and Trump-aligned businesses are scooping in huge sums from foreign governments via crypto. We talked about all this with Representative Jamie Raskin, the ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee. He explains why Trump's latest move outrageously abuses the Constitution, how his corruption has grown to “epic” and unprecedented proportions, and what Democrats will do now in response. Meta thinks that if you steal tens of millions of books, the value of each individual theft rounds down to zero. Is that the law? (No.) Also, the Qatari Royal family wants to give Donald Trump a half-billion-dollar plane and make the US government pay to renovate it. Turns out, that hasn't been legal for more than two hundred years, but who's counting? Oh, and the administration arrested the Mayor of Newark. President Trump has reportedly been offered a customized Boeing 747, valued at approximately $400 million, as a gift from the government of Qatar. Trump has publicly stated that he intends to use the state-of-the-art airliner as a temporary replacement for Air Force One until the completion of the new presidential aircraft fleet. The President said this is not a personal gift, but the plane would be used by the administration and the DOD.The announcement has drawn swift criticism from various media outlets and political commentators. Many in the mainstream media have accused the Trump administration of potentially exploiting the presidency for personal gain. Critics argue that accepting such a lavish gift from a foreign government raises serious ethical and constitutional concerns, particularly considering the Emoluments Clause, which prohibits U.S. officials from accepting gifts or benefits from foreign states without congressional approval.Supporters of Trump, however, contend that the decision is practical and cost-effective, especially given the delays and rising expenses associated with the new Air Force One program. They argue that utilizing an available aircraft—regardless of its origin—demonstrates fiscal responsibility and forward thinking.Freedom Marketplace: https://freedommarketplace.net The Stack: https://www.toddhuffshow.com/stack-of-stuff Email: todd@toddhuffshow.comPhone: 317.210.2830Follow us on…Instagram: @toddhuffshowFacebook: The Todd Huff ShowTwitter: @toddhuffshowLinkedIn: The Todd Huff ShowTikTok: @toddhuffshowSupport Our Partners:https://www.toddhuffshow.com/partners Links:https://www.mypillow.com/todd Promo Code: TODDhttps://mystore.com/toddhttps://soltea.com - Promo Code TODD for $29.95 off your first orderEaston University - https://www.eastonuniversity.comkenaifish.com - Promo Code TODD to save 15%

SEASON 3 EPISODE 125: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:45) SPECIAL COMMENT: What do you like least? Suspending Habeas Corpus? Breaking the law by threatening to arrest members of Congress for obeying the law? Or Trump accepting a half billion dollar impeachable illegal bribe from the government of Qatar that the Attorney General has ruled ISN’T illegal and by the way the Attorney General used to be a lobbyist FOR the government of Qatar? They’re all nation-destroying events but bluntly there is no way back from a suspension of Habeas Corpus. It’s a one-man dictatorship then – because if you think SUSPENDING Habeas Corpus ‘just for undocumented immigrants’ is somehow acceptable on its face, remember two things. One is: that there would be NO HEARINGS and NO LEGAL RECOURSE for ANYONE seized in this way so that all they would have to do is CLAIM that YOU are an undocumented immigrant to rationalize disappearing you, and you would not have a hearing at which you could prove you were a citizen, and you would not have a lawyer to appeal the decision not to GIVE you a hearing. And Stephen Miller didn't even say 'we'd only suspend it for undocumented immigrants.' Of course threatening to arrest members of Congress for exerting their legal right of oversight to the Concentration Camp ICE just opened in Newark by accusing them of assaulting agents (you know: The Congresswoman hit my fist with her face!) is bad and it mainlines back to the idea that they could just arrest them and under suspended Habeas Corpus just disappear them. As Congressman Michael 'I'm Too Dumb To Realize I'm Calling For My Own Arrest' McCaul now says of the Jersey Democrats "you cannot be complicit with gang violence against our law enforcement. And I think perhaps that’s what it comes down to.” ALSO: Trump's new Qatari plane is an illegal, impeachable offense but since the AG already registered as a Qatari agent, just hit the shrug emoji. They've accused The Secretary of Scotch with plagiarism at Princeton. They fired the Librarian of Congress and Karoline Lie-vitt is so stupid she thinks kids check books out of the Library of Congress. Trump now wants Jeanine Pirro as interim U.S. Attorney in DC, which allows us to flash back to the time she lost a page of her speech announcing she was running for Senate and just stood there until they found it for her. And of course, there's a new Pope. Father Bob. Father Bob the White Sox fan. Meaning our Nancy Faust, who went back to the White Sox games yesterday to reprise her role as the greatest stadium organist of all time, is right when she says "Who knew? All those years I literally had a papal audience!" B-Block (46:27) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: This time they're all people I know and used to respect who have failed the world. Gavin Newsom has again proposed appeasing Trump. Bob Iger has again carried an immeasurable amount of propaganda water for Trump. And Claire Shipman, whom I adored, has stood by as Columbia University (you know, the place with the Journalism School) suspended four of its own student reporters for...reporting. C-Block (1:02:00) OUR PAL SMILES again needs your help.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

From February 11, 2017: Donald Trump's election as president brought a surge of interest in the previously obscure Emoluments Clause, which prohibits any “Person holding any Office of Profit or Trust under [the United States]” from accepting “any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.” Norm Eisen and Richard Painter, ethics experts for Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush, have been leading the charge to hold Trump accountable under the Emoluments Clause for his failure to divest of his businesses. Recently, they filed suit against him in their capacity as chair and vice-chair of the good government group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington. Benjamin Wittes chats with Norm about the Emoluments Clause, the lawsuit, and what all this has to do with national security. To receive ad-free podcasts, become a Lawfare Material Supporter at www.patreon.com/lawfare. This week on The Breach, we take a closer look at those 49 words that mean so much: the Foreign Emoluments Clause of the United States Constitution. Law professor Zephyr Teachout joins host Lindsay Beyerstein for an in-depth discussion of one of our founding document's most critical anti-corruption clauses. Teachout and her legal colleagues at Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) have launched a groundbreaking lawsuit against Trump to stop him from taking cash from foreign governments through his empire of hotels and rental properties. The Emoluments Clause has never been tested in court. A loss for Trump will make legal history and could set the stage for divestment, resignation, or even impeachment.
Matt Taibbi says “Trump made idiots of us all.” He covered the campaign for Rolling Stone—and his new book is "Insane Clown President." Also: suing the president: it's not easy. But Erwin Chemerinsky has found a way to do it--under the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution. Erwin is Dean of the law school at UC Irvine.
David Cole of the ACLU on President Trump's order restricting immigration, Jeff Sessions for Attorney General, the president's likely violation of the Emoluments Clause, and what actions concerned citizens can take.
