Had a great chat with Shawn & Ben about their amazong web series My Death Co. We went through it's origins, how it was shot, the choices they had to make and the many really cool things that happened to get it to screen. This conversation was so interesting and inspiring.  My Death Co. follows a recently deceased man, Sam (@JonHuck), as he’s forced to work as a grim reaper in the afterlife. Sam has to learn to connect with and bring closure to those on the brink of death and, in doing so, finds meaning in his own (after)life. Created by Shawn McDaniel and Ben Hammond as a method of depicting loss in a more positive light, My Death Co.’s dark humor stands out and invokes a sense of hope in dark times. My Death Co. stars Jon Huck, who has appeared in Comedy Central’s “This is Not Happening” and “Live at Gotham,” as well as MTV’s “Punk’d,” NBC’s “Superstore” and CBS’s “Angel From Hell”. He will also appear later this year in “Hidden in the Heart of Texas: The Official Hide and Go Seek Documentary”. For anyone who knows the struggle of letting go and the healing power of comedy, My Death Co. is sure to be a hit.

Who is John Huck: Jon is a comedian and actor whose humor can best be described as honest, observational and maybe slightly self-deprecating. Jon performs all over the country and has appeared on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham & This Is Not Happening as well as Comedy From SXSW on Showtime and Gotham Comedy Live on The AXS Network. His first CD Fantasticular Hilaritation, was called “raving mad with a tinge of brilliance” by Americascomedy.comand can be found on Itunes along with his podcast – Hollywood Anonymous. Jon has appeared in several independent movies and a number of national commercials. He also portrayed a handful of characters during the original run of MTV’s popular hidden camera show Punk’d. Most recently, you may have seen Jon on CBS’s Angel From Hell and NBC’s Superstore. Who is Frank Zappa: Frank is a brilliant multi-instrumentalist musician, composer, and bandleader. Frank’s work takes its own path, free-form, improvisational, full of experimentation, and I believe a satire of American culture. If you have not listened... go now! Angel from Hell is a high concept comedy starring Jane Lynch as the titular character. Jane Lynch stars as Amy, a down on her luck Guardian Angel, who is somewhat desperate to have her earthly assignment, Allison (Maggie Lawson) accept her help and guidance. Dr. Allison Fuller is skeptical, but willing to befriend Amy, despite partially believing that her, "guardian angel" is probably just a crazy person. This sitcom has a stellar cast with incredible chemistry. Starring as Allison's brother Brad is Kyle Bornheimer, and the incredible Kevin Pollack stars as Allison's father Dr. Marv Fuller. The first episode is heavy on setting up the premise, so give this Angelic comedy a chance, the proceeding episodes are a lot of fun, and very funny.
