W rozmowie na antenie Radia Wnet Andrzej Krajewski, dziennikarz, publicysta i historyk, przekonywał, że działania Donalda Trumpa mają charakter brutalnej presji, a europejska odpowiedź jedynie zachęca do dalszego nacisku.Zdaniem Krajewskiego amerykański prezydent doszedł do momentu, w którym próbuje wymusić ustępstwa metodą szantażu, ale jego pole manewru jest ograniczone przez sytuację wewnętrzną w USA.Trump gra bardzo ostro. On chce po prostu szantażem wymusić Grenlandię. Ale zajęcie jej siłą cieszy się olbrzymią niepopularnością w Stanach Zjednoczonych – nawet wśród republikanów– podkreśla. I dodaje, że „nie ma przyzwolenia ani opinii publicznej, ani dużej części Kongresu. A jesienią są wybory i Republikanie mogą stracić większość”.Krajewski zwraca uwagę, że Grenlandia może stać się jednym z tematów, które obrócą się przeciwko Trumpowi w kampanii śródokresowej, jeśli presja na Danię i Unię Europejską będzie eskalowana.Trump straszy, naciska, sięga po cła, żeby wymusić dobrowolne oddanie wyspy. Ale czy to nastąpi? To nie jest takie oczywiste– ocenia.Jednocześnie rozmówca Radia Wnet bardzo krytycznie ocenia europejską demonstrację „siły” w odpowiedzi na amerykańskie naciski.Jeżeli wysyła się trzydziestu kilku żołnierzy i oficerów na poziomie bardzo słabej kompanii, to sygnał jest jeden: bronimy się, ale niezbyt dzielnie i jesteśmy otwarci na rozmowę– mówi. I wskazuje, że „to jest sygnał, który mówi: warto docisnąć, bo wtedy pękną”. Przekonuje, że taki komunikat odbierają nie tylko Stany Zjednoczone, ale też Pekin i Moskwa.Drugim kluczowym wątkiem rozmowy była polityka energetyczna, która – zdaniem Krajewskiego – może przesądzić o wyniku wyborów w USA. Choć ceny paliw nie są dziś głównym problemem, to gwałtownie drożejąca energia elektryczna zaczyna uderzać w amerykańskie gospodarstwa domowe.Od czterech lat prąd w Stanach Zjednoczonych drożeje. Zdrożał już o ponad trzydzieści kilka procent i to jest dla Amerykanów szok, bo przez dwadzieścia lat płacili mniej więcej te same rachunki– wyjaśnia. Podkreśla, że „to jest koszt, na który nie byli przygotowani, a Amerykanie głosują portfelem”. Źródłem problemu jest rosnące zapotrzebowanie na energię związane z reindustrializacją oraz rozwojem centrów danych i sztucznej inteligencji – zjawisko, którego Europa od lat już nie doświadcza.Wraz ze wzrostem PKB w Stanach rośnie zapotrzebowanie na energię elektryczną. W Europie tego nie ma od kilkunastu lat. W Niemczech zapotrzebowanie spadło o ponad 20 procent– wskazuje Krajewski.W tym kontekście publicysta ostro krytykuje unijną transformację energetyczną, opartą – jego zdaniem – na wskaźnikach emisji, a nie na efektywności systemu.W Europie głównym wyznacznikiem był wskaźnik emisji CO₂. On jest dobry dla biurokracji, ale nie oznacza ani efektywności, ani taniości systemu energetycznego– mówi.Trump, jak zauważa Krajewski, obrał kierunek dokładnie odwrotny niż Unia Europejska.On uciął subsydia do OZE, prowadzi otwartą wojnę z wiatrakami i chce przekierować fundusze na paliwa kopalne i energetykę jądrową. Efekty tej polityki będą widoczne za kilka lat, ale czasu do wyborów jest bardzo mało– dodaje.Zdaniem rozmówcy Radia Wnet, Europa znalazła się dziś w strategicznym rozkroku.Jeżeli przez kolejne pięć lat energia będzie dużo tańsza w USA i w Chinach, a Europa będzie tracić konkurencyjność, to tego się nie da przetrwać. Granica zostanie osiągnięta albo poprzez kontrolowaną modyfikację, albo poprzez niekontrolowany kryzys. A lepsza jest modyfikacja niż kryzys– podsumowuje.– podsumowuje./fa
