Our newest movie, Heart Eyes, belongs to a new category of horror that we are calling horror light. It had a couple jump scares and some gore, but most people will be able to watch it with minimal problems. That is where we differ: one of us prefers to be scared out of her wits, and the other one likes to fall asleep easily. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that one of us liked this movie, and the other was just okay with it. This is a cute date-night movie and has something for everyone! Paired with a Bleeding Heart cocktail and a Pikachu cocktail (since the Bleeding Heart sucked). Please forgive our sound quality issues!!! Rate! Review! Follow! Prophecy Radio episode #150 delves into Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, episode 4, “Clarisse Blows Up Everything.” They also discuss the latest casting news for Atlas, Dr. Thorn, and Frederick Chase, as well as all the behind-the-scenes goodies from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Official Podcast. New episodes of Prophecy Radio air every other week. All discussions are PG-13. News (00:15:32) Deadline has shared casting news for three new Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 3 actors. First up is Holt McCallany, who you may know from Mindhunter, as Atlas. David Constabile, who we're a little less familiar with, will be playing Dr. Thorn, and he certainly looks the part. Lastly, the legendary Jesse L. Martin will be playing Annabeth's Dad, Frederick Chase. We also have runtimes for Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, episodes 5, 6, and 7. We're so excited for next week! Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, episode 4 discussion (00:24:31) Points to us for knowing Annabeth was in a sewer, even though we had no idea why. We really see the relationship between Luke and Young Annabeth in the first flashback scene. Did you expect Young Annabeth to call Luke out for telling her Keloggia was the goddess of stealth? Did you like the Monster Donut and hydra details?? Young Annabeth is SO CUTE. Percy knows just what to say to Tyson. He also knows how to break the tension. Boys are gross. Clarisse makes a VERY dramatic entrance. How did she know Annabeth wasn't inside?? Annabeth and Clarisse go toe-to-toe in a battle of wits. Then Percy and Clarisse go toe-to-toe in a battle of strength. Did Percy think he could beat Clarisse, or was he just giving Annabeth time to make her move? Why is Clarisse so hellbent on not having any other demigods with her? Time to make some big choices! Will it be Scylla or…that other one? Clarisse really doesn't like the idea of sacrificing her men. There's that bleeding heart again. Grover is an excellent Protector. Demigods are just bad at listening. Neither Luke nor Thalia wants to go to Camp. Luke looks SO emo in this scene, and we're eating it up. What were your original theories as to why Annabeth's bracelet kept returning to the boat? We get a glimpse of Rainbow!! Percy realizes he's got some new abilities. Will Tyson grow into more of his Poseidon skills? Small choices make the biggest difference sometimes. Percy has some great advice in this scene, but is it a little too clean and perfect? Clarisse's men are willing to follow her anywhere, and you can tell that sits heavy on her shoulders. Was Percy channeling Sally Jackson in this scene with the sandwich? We get the full prophecy, and even though it's straight from the book, we're glad to hear it from start to finish. It's time to follow through on those big choices! “Heroes slay monsters, they don't run from them.” Sometimes it's hard to remember, especially in the beginning, that Clarisse is a hero, too. We loved watching Annabeth and Percy figure out how to correct course after Clarisse changes their heading. Percy on the front of the ship, steady as a rock, was SO BADASS. Clarisse saves Annabeth. How very friendly of her! Ironside blows up in the most dramatic way possible. Can you believe the episode ended here?? Next time: Sea Doos, sirens, guinea pigs, oh my! Percy Jackson and the Olympians Official Podcast highlights (01:20:26) We get another opening bit for the podcast. Aryan tells us about that time he fought a brick. Charlie and Tamara join the podcast to talk about the flashback. This was Charlie and Aryan's first real scene together. It's a good thing Aryan didn't do that stunt. Young Annabeth is actually Leah's cousin! Wait till you hear how Charlie “found” Young Luke. We finally get an Andrew shoutout counter. Did you know Luke wasn't in the original Percy Jackson story? How does the whole Thalia-as-a-tree thing work? Tamara knew Lance Reddick, so joining this show as his daughter was kismet. Erik Henry and Eli Zagoudakis join to talk about how visual effects and stunt work go hand-in-hand. They decided to go in a different direction when revealing Aegis. They tilted Ironside overnight! When designing Tyson's look, they wanted to change as little of Daniel's face as possible. The actors are all so willing to do their own stunts. Thanks for listening, and tune in next time for episode #151, where we'll recap Percy Jackson and the Olympians season 2, episode 5, as well as the next episode of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Official Podcast. This episode's hosts are: Karen and Kristen Each episode, Prophecy Radio‘s hosts will discuss any official news coming out of Camp Half-Blood before doing a chapter by chapter reread of Percy Jackson or one of Rick Riordan's other series. We're hard at work on our giant pile of weird old box sets, and that means it's time for Bleeding Heart, a game that Jon assures me is loosely based on something called the Corman Poe film era of the mid-sixties, and he's a total horror nerd so I gotta go with him on this one. One of the best-known, and well-loved, of the flowers that bloom each year in late Spring is one called the Bleeding Heart. A "bleeding heart" is also a popular adjective used to describe someone who is sympathetic to the poor and suffering. Here in the Psalms, the David describes a “broken heart.” When you find yourself brokenhearted, crushed in spirit because of your sins, God directs your attention to a bleeding heart. No, not the one in your garden, but the One who bled for you on the cross. Here is our Savior who hears our cry for mercy. Here is real comfort and salvation for brokenhearted sinners like you and me.

Part 1: We talk with Jordan Haedtler and Teddy Stancil. Haedtler is a climate financial policy consultant, and Stancil is a Senior Researcher with the Revolving Door Project. We discuss the problems with home owner insurance. Huge losses have occurred due to climate change. Unfortunately, states have chosen to bailout insurance companies and deregulate them, rather than looking at root causes. Premiums for homeowners (and renters are affected) have risen greatly. Insurance Industry has chosen to socialize losses, and maximize profits, and are able to do so because of their lobby power. Insurance is controlled by state governments, and thus vulnerable to this tactic. The Biden administration has attempted to reduce the climate aspects of this problem by investing in infrastructure, and some states have supported homeowners who do the same. But this is not enough. More action is needed. Part 2. We talk with Laura Belin, of Bleeding Heart radio in Iowa. We discuss several major issues affecting Iowa and, by extension, other states. a. Iowa's “school safety bill” which would enable teachers and other school employees to carry guns in school, and would grant qualified immunity to those persons who may injure someone. This is to shield them from prosecution and to shield the liability insurance carriers.b. An almost total ban abortion law in Iowa is currently enjoyned. Still to be decided by the Iowa Supreme Court. The Supreme Court is all-Republican. c. The federal Summer Food program that was offered and rejected by the governor. Instead, she has instituted a program that funds as at fractional level, and will not help families, especially rural families. It will also affect food manufacturers and sellers. We loved having the Bleeding Heart Brewery boys on in episode #93 so much, we thought we should have them on again. This time we added the twist of submitted questions from our audiences. Some were home runs and some were just the name of the person who submitted it (thanks, Jason). We went down some interesting "bunny trails" and touched on Turkey Beer, dying in an airplane, announcements from both Zack & Stefan and much more. This episode really highlighted why we get along with these guys so well and we hope you enjoy it! We recently received an email from someone who apologised for her delayed reply: she had ‘disappeared into the things'. HARD RELATE. We are constantly in danger of disappearing into the things: the sadness, the panic, the phone. So in this episode we talk about the strange things that are happening with our sense of self at the moment… plus all the mini identity shifts that send us from Diary Of An Edwardian Lady Lady (‘Gosh, is that a Golden Crested Bum Puncher?) to Bleeding Heart to Hard Man in a matter of seconds. And if that's not disconcerting enough, run through Midult micro-downers….like staggering into your bedroom at 11pm and realising you stripped the bed earlier in the day. Bastards. And when metaphorical instability becomes literal instability. Oof. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Rock used to be my life and even though it's still lives inside my soul I love my family and friends but I left it all behind for what to be a music store the God of gold records one of my biggest sins and biggest mistakes in my life I spent time on stage and I could've spent it finding someone who honestly cared someone who actually loved me for five ways because I sing songs the road is a lonely like you have no friends no place to call home it's a circus life just another show nothing but circus lights it's true I need crowns to make a smile or just traveling through space and Time bring for our time to feed everyone ignores the rise but loves to see us fall you forget how to want Once you've had it all my life in the departed group spoke to me because we were all deported from our families as soon as we signed the contract there's times I wish I never joined the band but the drugs in my mind is a dopamine which is organics excitement your brain puts off so it's not a bad drug makes you crave to cheers of the screens from the crowd I wish I never joined the band I wish I had nothing to do with this search for you out there listen to Bryin never ever made the same mistake I did If you join the band don't let it consume you like you did me don't let it destroy your life like it did mine Don't abandon your family for screaming crowds and the stage it's not worth it see you in the next video
The past 3 years have underscored the importance of taking care of our mental health, working with professionals to maintain a robust sense of mental health, and talking about mental health in workplace contexts. Even so, the recent emphasis on taking care of our mental health and talking about it in workplace settings can't immediately erase decades of stigma surrounding this topic. For DEI professionals, we have an even greater challenge to facilitating conversations about mental health, considering how our own mental health can become challenged with the combined threats of secondary traumatic stress, compassion fatigue, and burnout. To help us end this stigma, and to begin talking about the importance of taking care of our mental health at work, the Belonging at Work Team is thrilled to feature the thought leadership of Simone Walsh, Founder of Essence of Mind, a nonprofit that offers tools and resources to support individuals navigating mental illness. During this conversation, Simone and Rhodes explore her commitment to eliminate the stigma of mental illness in our workplaces. Rhodes explores Simone's approach to ending this stigma through wellness activities, seminars, and special events. A few key highlights from this conversation include: Learning about Simone's personal memoir, Poetic Diary of a Bleeding Heart, and why she decided to share her testimony of escaping the darkness to begin her healing journey. Discussing the negative impact bullying and harassment had on Simone, and how these kind of behaviors showed up in her workplace experiences. Identifying the personal practices Simone found most helpful to catalyze her healing journey that has helped her emerge from the darkness and share with others. Learning how the workplace can actually be a sanctuary that can begin connecting individuals to mental health resources that can help fortify our mental health. Exploring why Simone believes serving as a possibility model to support other people overcome clinical depression and anxiety can help reduce stigma. Recognizing how not speaking about the importance of mental health can create further stigma, and what we can do to disrupt this kind of silence. Sharing guidance on how DEI professionals can encourage their workplaces to end the silence around mental health and begin including this topic in the broader work. Making the specific case as to how business leaders can promote the mental health and well-being of their employees and why that will help them become employers of choice.
