Thought Cops is a podcast that is ran out of chicago where each week Officer Kevin and Officer Grant talk about what's outraging the internet, then sentence each offender to a cruel and often unusual punishment. It's a great show, we've been mutually supporting each other for a while and since we haven't figured out a good way to do remote recording, i thought why not just post up the episode I did with them a few weeks ago. Breaker breaker, this is Big Daddy HWIDG, I'm haulin' a load of go-juice to Spud Town and I got me a bit of trouble. Seems like there's an expired lot lizard in my cabin. Picked it up at a pickle park bout 50 miles back and I think it got into my West Coast turnarounds. Any good buddies willing to help me out at the next choke and puke, I'd appreciate it. I've got some spicy contraband for anybody if you help me out. Let's see, I got a bunch of primo hoochie flicks here, Miss Friday: Panty Detective, Volleyball Locker Room Warmups, and:- Quoting Orwell- Super Bowl Halftime Shows- People that only watch the Super Bowl for the Commercials- Slow Deaths1984, a dystopian classic. A warning for the people of the future. A brutally honest prediction of American government. The perfect Twitter quip fodder? Unfortunately so. Because the public school system forced you to read it in 8th grade, at your peak rebelliousness, you remember none of it outside of the same things everyone else does. Big brother is watching you! Facecrimes! And everytime the other political party is in power, the other side pulls it out on Twitter like a kindergartner's hand-turkey. Oh. You traced your hand and turned it into a turkey?! I've NEVER seen that before!Hey, let's take a 20 minute break from the carnage of 22 men trying their best to almost kill each other. For your amusement, we'll bring out a either a washed up singer from 25 years ago who absolutely does not sound like they used to, or the new hotness that will confuse all the older white men. Guaranteed at least a 50 disappointment rate, why don't we do something else? A charity field goal contest, a sports trivia contest, taking all the money it would cost to put on a halftime show and burning it set to soft jazz like those Christmas yule log videos.Speaking of that big game, the other big upset is the ads. A lot of people don't follow the sport but still like hanging out with friends that do and eating nachos and drinking terrible beer. You could be honest and say you're there for the free food, but instead we come up with "I only watch for the ads". Which is a decent enough lie, except think of that person that truly does enjoy being advertised to. Imagine that person that enjoys a bit of fresh advertisment. Do you want to be them? I didn't think so. So when your buddy asks who you're rooting for, tell them you're rooting for your stomach vs. those chili-cheese dogs.Doctor approved voluntary euthanasia. We need it. People should be allowed to go with their dignity and mind intact. Is it was? Sure. They're still dying. But to do so at peace? Surrounded by their loved ones? Before cancer or what have you wrecks their body and medicine does even worse to their brain? I'd take that in a heartbeat. Tim here, I'd like to take this last portion of the episode write up to thank all the listeners for their well-wishes. With a majority of people living in urban environments, there is a growing imperative to engineer cities to better withstand an inevitable bevy of potential shocks and stresses. As Washington DC’s first chief resilience officer, Kevin Bush’s task is to develop the District’s first-ever resilience strategy, aiming to tackle challenges ranging from terrorist attacks to homelessness. In this wide-ranging discussion, Bush outlines how chronic stresses like a high cost of living weakens the ability of DC residents to absorb shocks like flooding, and explains how interdisciplinary solutions – such as parks that soak up excess floodwater – help embed resilience into the fabric of the city. A veteran of the Hurricane Sandy response, Bush also advocates for a more systematic approach to disaster recovery and response, such as ensuring critical infrastructure like cell phone towers has adequate backup power supplies. Above all, Bush emphasizes that the city and its residents must deal with everyday challenges in order to be better prepared for potential shocks.

Welcome to Episode 61 of Thought Cops! This week, we're joined by Lil Slime aka SpookyboiUWU aka kevin watch the light dude aka this guy: You won't get it unless you're a 90's kid. This episode, we talk about the troubling trend of irresponsible, one-sided gaming articles plaguing our country. Also though, we talk about Soundcloud clout goblins, garlic that comes out in a single clove, the yodeling boy, "Zayn" from "One Direction," Google forgetting to doodle Easter, and millennials snorting condoms I guess. Our very own Officer Kevin was on this week's episode of the Dick Show with Dick Masterson. Check it out here! Smash that subscribe button!
Welcome to Episode 60 of Thought Cops! Tonight, the Cops welcome local Chicago comedian Aaron Klopfer. This week, we're punishing people using the new brackets meme, identity thieves, unsolicited pleas from Soundcloud artists, and kids I went to school with in Kindergarten that make up rhymes to make you take less time at the drinking fountain. Also, we cover the possible revival of Last Man Standing, if Seinfeld or Friends were rebooted who the Trump voter would be, Jim Carrey's artistic depictions of the President, and the public's need for a Disney princess who's had an abortion. We also got a cool fan art from @mattcirc on Twitter. Check it out! He put more effort into this picture than we put into our logo. Thanks Matt! Don't forget to drop us a review on iTunes. Starting next episode, we're going to start closing out episodes with the five star reviews on our iTunes page. We'll read anything you write. No n-words please. Also subscribe to our Patreon. Officer Kevin's going to be going out to L.A. in a week, and we're going to record bonus episode number 2 around the week of the 20th. So get on it! Namaste.

On this episode of KSL's beyond the badge, we honor Officer Kevin Salmon and Officer Joey Incardine of the Cottonwood Heights Police Department. An elderly female had overstayed her welcome in a Denny's after about 12-13 hours trying to keep warm. When the officers arrived they didn't feel good about sending her out into the 19 degree weather, so they booked her 2 nights at a local hotel with their own money to let her clean herself up. The two officers say it's just their job to be helpful like this. KSL's Beyond the Badge recognizes the good work that Utah's public safety officers do every day to make each of our lives better. Listen to Utah's Morning News every weekday as Amanda Dickson highlights the everyday heroes who work tirelessly to keep us safe. Officers are nominated by their respective police chiefs, sheriffs and supervisors, and the general public. Those featured are selected by a committee composed of representatives from KSL, the Department of Public Safety and Utah Local Governments Trust. KSL has also partnered with the Utah Lieutenant Governor to help execute the program. Beyond the badge is sponsored by the Utah Local Government's Trust. Protecting those who protect you. Providing specialized insurance products and services protecting more than 540 local governments. Be safe, and come home.
Welcome to episode 42 of Thought Cops, aka episode 1 of Comcast Cops. This week, we're joined once again by Deputy Robbie of The Dirty Nines and formerly of the FCC to talk about Net Neutrality. Basically everyone's fucked, so we're all looking for jobs at Comcast deleting websites for them. The rest of the episode, we talk about Starbucks' ongoing War on Christmas, the Lena Dunham apology generator, and Post Malone's apology for saying hip hop doesn't have emotional range. Or whatever. Jesus Christ, you people are petty. Make sure to drop us a voicemail at 312-788-7361 accusing Officer Kevin of intentionally plagiarizing lines from 1996's Matilda. Also make sure to leave us a review on iTunes. Thanks kindly.
Welcome to Episode 41 of Thought Cops, aka the autofellatio episode. We're once again joined by Deputy Michael of michaelpottle.com, and creator of Greg Loves a Human. https://vimeo.com/158571684 This episode, we start off by changing up the show's format a little by sentencing thought crimes as they happen, as opposed to the week after. It's a minor change, but the show should hopefully be a little more streamlined and a little less top-heavy. Officer Kevin was also on the fellow Chicagoan podcast Booze Before Noon this week. I don't think the episode has dropped yet, but check it out when it does. But anyway, this week in the news: Conservatives destroy their Keurig coffee makers because they love the environment. Baked Alaska gets banned from Twitter and spends 9 hours in an In-N-Out complaining to its otherwise helpless patrons. Seriously, look at the time on that video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDZtImrjssU In other Twitter news, Twitter took the blue checkmark away from several white supremacists on the platform, which is basically the equivalent of the second Holocaust to a group who somehow isn't sure whether or not there was a first the Holocaust. Rounding out the Twitfecta, @dril's identity has been exposed. Turns out it actually was Jack Nicholson this whole time. If you don't understand that joke, please Google @dril. There's a documentary coming out soon about whether or not Apu from the Simpsons is a problematic stereotype. Like all other documentaries that come out, I plan on not watching it. Blake Shelton was voted People Magazine's sexiest man alive, and we all agree that the award should've gone to Ichigo from Bleach. I guess there's no tolerance for anime in Trump's America. Finally, New York Mayor Bill DeBlasio's press secretary was caught saying that Chicago pizza is better than New York pizza. Problem solved I guess, now we no longer have to debate this. You can all go back to your families now, the war's over. Don't forget to drop us a review on iTunes, and drop us a voicemail at 312-788-7361.
Our GuestKevin is Chief Digital and Innovation Officer and a member of the global Executive Board for HH Global. He is responsible for technology, driving innovation, digital brand control programs, and digital strategy for HH Global. Kevin is also responsible for two HH Global Financial Services customers and digital transformation projects for HH Global’s client base. Kevin moderates the HH Global innovations group, HH Labs, which he formed in 2009, as well as being the Executive Board sponsor for HH Global’s Sustainability and corporate social responsibility programmes. Here are the highlights of our conversation with our guest:The things that gets Kevin most out of bed everyday morning is the disruption that we are seeing in technology and how this can fire and streamline processes with clients and make solutions better. There’s just so much stuff you can do which will make things better and this gives him so many opportunities to do great things.Technology is one of Kevin’s passions and where you can see something which can make a process efficient, add value or can improve an experience, you have to seize that – and that is what Kevin is currently doing.HH Global is a global marketing execution company. They are in the outsourcing business and they support their clients below their creative master agencies. Typically, big brands have a master agency which creates conceptual items and HH Global is there to help execute that. They do this across three core channels: marketing print, secondary packaging, and cross-creative production. They save their clients’ money and simplify workflows. As Chief Digital and Innovation Officer, Kevin was originally focused on all things digital until they have formed an innovation group called HH Labs. It gained so much traction and interest from clients that he was asked to focus more on this. His role now is to talk to clients how to disrupt and improve what they are doing and add to their business more than those three core channels to advance them to get ahead of the curve in their particular sector. HH Labs goes out and finds various solutions and what sprung this investment and what caused it to grow to what it is now is the passion of people who have day jobs in their business. Nearly 25% of their workforce are members of the community and effectively are digital talent scouts who are either listening to their clients for what is keeping them awake and feed this back to the group; or they are actively looking in trade shows, listening to podcasts, or subscribing in digital newsletters. They get fired up by all of this as this gives another dimension to their job and their role, and ultimately, they find it satisfying to help solve a problem for a client. Some of the cool things they are doing right now surround digital signage and proximity and point of sale. It’s like a mash up of clever Google technology at traditional point of sale and proximity beaconing. An example of this would be a case study of Coca Cola ads in a mall where it will show you customize ads as you walk through. It uses mobile handset data to serve customize ads so as you walk down the aisle it will recognize that you are male, location, buying habits, your last interaction with Coke, etc. and it will serve an ad which is contextual to you.
This week on Best in Blue, MPD Lead Recruiter, Kevin Moore, visits with D.C. and discusses what it takes to become a member of the Memphis Police Department. Officer Moore goes into detail about what makes a great police officer and what really makes a BEST in BLUE! Enjoy
Officer Kevin Salmon responded to a call of a theft of a bicycle on Town Circle. Someone had cut the lock to a shed and stole a girls bicycle. The victim, a 12 year old girl who had immigrated here with her family from Russia had won the bike at her school by winning a reading contest. In its place, the thief had left a bucket of human feces. Obviously both the girl and her mother were devastated. On his own volition, Officer Salmon went to Target and purchased the girl a replacement bike with his own money. When he brought it back to the girls house, she was beyond words. The family was so grateful.
Get the fuck off your parent's insurance, because it's Episode 26 of THOUGHT COPS. This week we're joined once again by our show's Stenographer to talk about Chicago's most notorious outrage victim, Jordan Peterson getting his Youtube taken down and then put back up, tan-skinned people of unassumed ethnic origin disrespecting American monuments, Earthworm Jim's creator misgendering journalists, a very special Veggie Tales story, a video games, and finally, a crazy lady gets her tires smashed and you need to know all about it. First, a bit of redemption for Chicago's prehistoric outrage victim, Steve Bartman. You may remember back in 2004 when this happened: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vq8G81oOHhY Well now he's come to the end of his series arc, because the Cubs have decided to give him a World Series Ring. You can both give Carlos Slim more money and read all about it by clicking here. Next we have the story of a disgusting family that crossed a border, came here, and disrespected the land that they lived off of. Except it turns out that the border they crossed, and the land that they "lived off of" were probably not exactly what you were thinking of. Oops. In other news, Jordan Peterson got his Youtube taken down but then got it back. So, yeah. I don't know. Next. Earthworm Jim's creator is in some hot water for misgendering a Gaming-American journalist online. The ironic part is that somebody also confused Earthworm Jim's creator for someone that anybody should give a fuck about. This episode we also delve deeper into the origin story of Officer Kevin. Turns out he was the sole inspiration for the character "Kevin" in 321 Penguins. You know, the stupid one. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WL69xy8j0T0 We also give the Key to the City this week to whatever genius drew this picture:
Slip a rubber on, because Thought Cops just turned 18! That's right, it's another episode of your favorite outrage show. Episode 18. And because our parents didn't buy us a Ferrari for our 16th birthday, we're getting revenge on them by exposing ourselves to the world. This episode we're joined once again from BFTD Deputy Doug. Doug's got a project he's working on, BUT IT'S NOT DONE YET. So hold on for a bit longer. This week we talk about comedians and public officials using the n-word, fake protests, pottymouth CNN hosts, pills of all different colors, and tentacle porn. I also talk about how I fucked up when I appeared on another podcast. Life's been hectic for all of us, but the show's been getting better and better each week. We're considering a possible sponsorship option that's located in Chicago that might help us out with a couple of expenses. It would be great to be able to cover hosting costs, as well as other show necessities such as a third pop filter so I don't BBBBlow PPPeoPPPle's FFFFucking ears out each SSSentenCCCe. So we'll keep you all updated on that. We also want to get a wider variety of guests on, so if you know any comedians, artists, filmmakers, or anybody creative in Chicago, send them our way. We also pitch our first show contest: a Tim Allen photoshop battle. Best photoshop of Tim Allen wins a 6 pack of Fat Tires from me and a kiss on the mouth from Officer Kevin. Sorry, those are the rules. We're actually serious with this, please send us photoshopped pictures of Tim Allen. I'll actually buy you a 6 pack. Weewoo weewoo thanks for listening.
Welcome to episode 12 of Thought Cops. This episode we talk about stupid pants, Bill Nye the Cringe Guy, and the Apocalypse. Oops, I mean the "Adpocalypse." My bad. One's the end of the earth, the other is a group of people that call disgustingly call themselves "Youtubers" making twenty minute long videos complaining about "the community." The War on Berkeley continues today with Ann Coulter's skirmish with the Antifa. I don't know why they don't just do what I do when I see Ann Coulter: change the channel. We start today's episode with a joke about Coachella being renamed to Sharkulafest, and I quickly find out that Officer Kevin doesn't know who Sharkula is. Like he's living under a god-damned rock. So if you're one of the many out there who are both uncultured and uninformed, here's the greatest rapper alive, Sharkula. https://youtu.be/uKrZRAotSxU In this episode we also announce the new kid's TV show we're trying to pitch to network television. You knew them and loved them when you were a kid, but now they've really gotten into protesting and lighting trashcans on fire. Is Baby Antifa Kermit a domestic terrorist, or just fighting the good fight against right wing authoritarianism? Find out on the next episode, "The Baby Antifa vs. the Nazi Menace!" The most perplexing thing about this picture is that his ideology leans left, but he's a green frog, and those are typically associated with the right. Talk about a confusing case of identity politics. Speaking of identity politics, here's item number one on the long list of reasons why Trump won: https://youtu.be/Wllc5gSc-N8 That's right, the reason Trump is president is because of a television show that came out five months after the election. That aside, this makes me want to rename Coachella to Cringella and make this the headlining act. I'd cancel my Netflix in protest of this show, but if I don't have access to Bojack Horseman, who the hell is supposed to be the hero I aspire to be one day? Make sure that aside from subscribing on iTunes, you follow us on Twitter. We just started tweeting so that we could finally get involved in the battle against free speech on the internet. Hopefully by the time we're done, everyone will be in time out.
Wee-woo wee-woo, welcome to the second episode of Thought Cops, with your hosts Officer Kevin and Officer Grant. On this week’s episode, we get right into it: the newest symbol of the Alt-Right Neo-Nazis, Netflix’s genocide against Caucasians, the newest N-Words you’re not allowed to say to journalists, and Youtube’s top Youtuber, Pew-die-pie comes out as an Anti-Semite. If Trump was literally Hitler and we were literally living in 1930’s Nazi Germany, I’d definitely be freaking out right about now. In response to the Netflix show Dear White People, I reference a video by Philip DeFranco that you can watch here. I applaud him for sitting through the entire movie and creating a commentary around it. I haven’t seen a movie in its entirety since the Lion King came out in theaters when I was 3, and I certainly wasn’t about to watch this one. Hell, I didn’t even watch the entire Philip DeFranco video, I had to turn it off when he started trying to sell me shit. But the argument stands, is this a piece of race-baiting propaganda, or is it more weaponized outrage to get people talking, the core substance of which serves to address issues we’re all facing and yet too afraid to talk about in this country, in an intelligent and digestible way? You decide. I’m already sick of the topic. We also address the swastikas that have been following Sarah Silverman around New York City like the number Pi does to that guy in that movie Pi. Hopefully, everything will end well for Sarah. How does that movie end again? I never finished it. I’m sure it probably ends on a positive note. Finally, I also reference Giraldo Rivera getting hit in the face with a chair in the 80’s. You can watch it here in its full entirety. The 80’s certainly were an interesting time. Everybody had a daytime talk show, Madonna was still alive, and Pokemon Go hadn’t been invented yet. You’re probably thinking “Madonna is still alive, isn’t she?” To which I shall respond with a final, open-ended question for you to consider until next episode: “is she really?”
(05-27-2016) - Talking about the June 4th LAPD/VTAC car show in Woodland Hills, CA I'll be hosting with LAPD officer Kevin Vanklaveren & how you could ride in an LAPD Helicopter or spend a day with LAPD SWAT! Then, Dan Short from the Velocity TV show "FantomWorks" talks about how his restoration career got off to an odd start, "Matchbox" or "Hot Wheels", and why "FantomWorks" should be a 9 hour show!
