On Episode #129 Charlie is back! He and Ginny discuss a night on the town and an evening of 15 Minutes of Fame at New Riff Distillery and then sit down for their own discussion of style. They end with Fat Tire from New Belgium Brewing before Charlie gets back to work on Derby City Comic Con.

This week's show is more Tonic and less Charlie. Charlie is busy running around and getting ready for Derby City Comic Con so Ginny took charge and recorded most of the episode on her own. But don't worry, after a short segment where Ginny explains how she got into bourbon Charlie is back to drink some Evan Williams 1783 Small Batch Bourbon with her. It is a shorter show this week but we think you will enjoy it all the same. Cheers! 

Life returns to normal following Derby City Comic Con, or at least as close to normal as and Ginny and Charlie are capable of getting. First they discuss an article by a recovering Manic Pixie Dream Girl and how fiction creates our reality. A quick discussion of two compelling apps is followed by a Trappist beer and a British band with a French name and an Italian song. So yeah, that sounds about normal.

Ginny and Charlie are back to at least half steam for Episode #80. After recording their thoughts about Derby City Comic Con they head out for some shore leave that includes a massage and an excellent steak dinner. Then they come back with a bottle of homebrewed mead they got from a friend at Derby City. If you want to hear the inside scoop about Derby City, discover the proper way to recover from a convention, or just discover the secret to great mead, you won't want to miss this show.

Ginny and Charlie are doing double duty this week. They are working on setting up Derby City Comic Con, the comic convention Charlie owns in Louisville, but they also have a podcast to record. So of course this week's show will have to be the unveiling of  the official cocktail of Derby City Comic Con, The Constantine. Named after Charlie's favorite comic character, John Constantine, this easy to make cocktail features a Johnny Walker Double Black to honor the characteristic smoking of the character, with a bit of Tuaca for balance. Add a dash of bitters and a splash of club soda and you've got yourself a great drink.

We are three days away from Derby City Comic Con, the biggest day of the year for Charlie and an event he's been working toward for over a year. This annual comic convention is looming as Ginny Tonic and Charlie catch you up on all the fun they've been having, share some behind the scenes info on the show preparations and same a wonderfully smokey blended scotch whiskey. It may be a short show, but it still packs a punch!
