Social is going to expand with new platforms and greater adoption of human-to-human connections. Brands are going to learn how to better connect to their audiences. Organic influencers and evangelists (as non-owners) will become a greater force for brands to push content and connect. Brands will become more humanized through influencer marketing. LinkedIn will either completely overhaul their platform, of fall. Competitors are expanding to fill their space, and LinkedIn isn’t innovating quick enough to stay ahead. LinkedIn lacks good content. LinkedIn’s mobile app experience is confusing. LinkedIn seems to be making choices that feel like negative “innovation” (i.e. their bcc to everybody function). Facebook is well poised to steal LinkedIn’s audience, and the demographics of the two platforms have huge overlap.
