The guys have their first blame day in a while. Joe and Hugh agree - the defense was the biggest reason the Eales lost yesterday.
The Eales took control of the NFC East last night as they knocked off the Commanders. Saquon Barkley had nearly 200-yards of total offense. The Giants continue to get ridiculed for letting Barkley leave, but to me it was a no brainer. The Giants are a bad team with, or without Barkley! Learn more about your ad choices. In this inspiring episode with Sabbia Co's founder, Katie Eales, we discuss all things from blocks and obstacles within life/business, jealousy, competition, leading with intuition and one of my favourite topics… doing less and attracting more! There was a time where the pressures that surround owning your own business overwhelmed Katie's mindset so much that she thought she may have to stop running Sabbia Co completely. Katie pulled the ‘change' card at one of my events and for months afterward, kept pulling it again and again! The Universe was trying to tell her that change was coming, but she feared it was the change she didn't want. When she stopped resisting and began to turn inward, everything ‘changed' but for the better. Sabbia Co is now thriving in more ways than she could have ever imagined. But the funny thing is, she's doing less… I hope this chat inspires you to chase your dreams and live a life on your terms.View Sabbia Co's website here!View Sabbia Co's Instagram here! This is a revised--and a lot longer--version of our twenty-first episode ("Some thoughts about Hanukkah by a (secular) Jewish medieval historian"). That episode was just what the title said, some thoughts about the role of Hanukkah in contemporary America and the Middle Ages. In it Ellen had a throwaway line about the Puritan war on Christmas. I thought that our listeners might be interested in why the Puritans objected to and tried to suppress Christmas, and, related to that, how Christmas, as well as Hanukkah was celebrated in the Middle Ages. I know that the result is a mishmash, but I hope it's an enjoyable and informative mishmash.Happy Holidays! This episode includes snippets from"Here we come a-wassailing" The St. Michael's Singers conducted by Paul Leddington Wright https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m29jEvTfVFUMa'oz Tsur sung by cantors from across Canada, Temple Sinai Toronto, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fFY--az4z3wAdam Sandler's "The Hanukkah Song" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KX5Z-HpHH9gReading:Hanukkah:Cait Stevenson, “Celebrating Hannukah in the Middle Ages” by Cait Stevenson, posted on Medievalists.net https://www.medievalists.net/2018/12/celebrating-hanukkah-middle-ages/Susan Weingarten, “Medieval Hanukkah Traditions: Jewish Festive Foods in their European Contexts, Food and History 8 (2010)::41-62Dianne Ashton, (2013). What's a mafia princess doing running a winery in Western Colorado? The name might have started as an inside joke between friends, but the wine is serious business. Hillary Eales spent six years at Meadery of the Rockies, Talon Winery, and St. Katherine's Cellars before taking the leap and buying a winery and vineyard that she could make her own, alongside her husband, Casey. And Mafia Princess Wines was born. Casey takes care of the grapes while working full time, Hillary takes care of the winemaking and tasting room, and they both take care of a couple sweet kids, an adorable dog, a cat that remained unseen, a few sheep, and a bunch of chickens. Hillary and I tasted some of their Beaujolais Nouveau-style Colorado Nuovo in their cozy tasting room while we chatted about her path to the Grand Valley, how she went from EMT to winemaker, the wines she's most excited about making, why biodynamic principles are a no-brainer when it comes to vineyard management, and about building an intentional community – making your own family away from family. And of course, we got into some of those stories that led to her nickname. For more about Mafia Princess Wines: mafiaprincesswines.com For more about the podcast: postcardsfrompalisade.com

Dr. Justin Haegele (Twitter: @Justin_Haegele) joins Dr. Kevin Richards for an episode of Going Behind the Research. This talk focuses on the article below: Haegele, J. A., Ball, L. E., Zhu, X., Keene, M. A., & Nowland, L. A. (2022). Absent, Incapable, and “Normal”: Understanding the Inclusiveness of Visually Impaired Students' Experiences in Integrated Physical Education. Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly, 1(aop), 1-22. Rather than providing a forum to discuss research that is conducted in health and physical education, the Going Behind the Research segment focuses on telling the stories that surround research we read in scholarly journals. Globally, the segment aims to humanize research by providing a forum to discuss the movies that draw researchers toward particular topics and studies, challenges and successes experienced along the way, and lessons learned that transcend individual journal publications (e.g., lessons learn that impact future research decisions). Each episode will feature an interview with one or member members of an authorship team. Including a brief overview of the study, the common interview guide (linked below) will be used to facilitate each individual conversation. The conversations will, however, be unique in that follow-up questions will address topics raised by each interviewee. The other article discussed is: Peers, D., Spencer-Cavaliere, N., & Eales, L. (2014). Say what you mean: Rethinking disability language in Adapted Physical Activity Quarterly. This week we talk to Josette Eales an aspiring actor, producer and writer living in Hollywood. Is the green card lottery real? this episode reveals the truth behind the myth.
Oftentimes artists think they need a manager, but they're not really at the stage yet where a manager would benefit them. Usually they're overwhelmed and what they need is an outside opinion from someone who is knowledgeable and experienced to give them perspective and help them know what to focus on. That's the role of a mentor.
