In this bonus episode, Matt takes Sam on a tour of his native state, Pennsylvania, where a number of key primaries were held this week. The results brought some hopeful news: Lt. Gov. John Fetterman handily defeated State Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta and (even better) Manchin-backed moderate Rep. Conor Lamb in the contest for the Democratic senate nomination. But it also revealed the madness that continues to grip the GOP: State Sen. Doug Mastriano, a January 6 marcher and election-fraud true believer, will be running for governor in November, and Dr. Oz, as of this writing, was clinging to a narrow lead in the race to take on Fetterman. Don't worry, though, it's not all punditry: the cuisines, strange regional dialects, and curious folkways of the virtuous commonwealth also are discussed. Then the episode turns to the fortunes of the Thiel tools: J.D. Vance and Blake Masters, both of whom are running for the Senate (Vance in Ohio and Masters in Arizona). The former won the Republican nod, and in come-from-behind fashion—how did he do it, especially after months of woke pundits dismissing his campaign? And what are Masters chances in August, when the Arizona GOP primary will be held?Subscribe to Know Your Enemy on Patreon to listen to this bonus episode, and all of our bonus content: https://www.patreon.com/knowyourenemy

In a wide-ranging interview, Democratic Congressman and U.S. Senate candidate Conor Lamb opens up about a range of topics. The 37-year-old Lamb talks about growing up in a political family, his time in the Marines, what voters like about Donald Trump, why Nancy Pelosi is like Jack Lambert, teaching kids about racism, Democrats' disconnect with many Pennsylvanians, and why he believes he's better positioned than Lt. Governor John Fetterman to win the general election in November.
Bienvenido a La Wikly. Hasta el lunes, This is a public episode. What are the big takeaways from Election Day 2021 in Pennsylvania? Host Tom McGrath talks with journalists John Baer (@jbaernews) and Marc Levy (@timelywriter) about Republican enthusiasm, Democratic wokeness, the influence of Donald Trump and Joe Biden, what the election means for John Fetterman, Conor Lamb and Jeff Bartos, what's going on in Camp Hill, and Tom Wolf's voting gaffe.
Christina Proctor is the new Chairwoman of the Washington County Democrats. Four years ago, she wasn't even active in politics. She shares her on-the-ground perspective on the March 2018 Conor Lamb special election and how the Biden-Harris ticket built on that grassroots energy.
Members of Congress were briefed late Monday on a series of new threats against lawmakers and the US Capitol ahead of President-elect Joe Biden's inauguration, Rep. Conor Lamb said on CNN Tuesday. The briefing follows an FBI bulletin warning of "armed protests" being planned at all 50 state capitols and in Washington, DC, and provides the latest sense of a heightened state of alarm among lawmakers and law enforcement officials following last week's deadly siege at the US Capitol. To learn more about how CNN protects listener privacy, visit cnn.com/privacy
