Join Jim and Greg as they serve up two good martinis and a really lousy one. First, they defend Israel's decision to target the Secretary General of Islamic Jihad at the Iranian ambassador's residence in Syria.  Next, they welcome Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker's rejection of Christine Blasey Ford's comeback tour - noting that Blasey Ford did not offer a single piece of evidence to back up her story that she was assaulted by Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh back in high school. Also, she condemns Blasey Ford's allies for applying immense pressure on her supposed witnesses to corroborate her story but they refused to lie. Finally, they groan as Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer offers a "Newcomer Rental Subsidy" to residents, promising then a monthly check of $500 for each migrant they let stay in their homes. Please visit our great sponsors:4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniGet the Deluxe 3-Month Survival Food Kit and the peace of mind your family deserves.  Free shipping on orders over $97. Fast Growing Treeshttps://fastgrowingtrees.com/martiniUse code Martini to save an additional 15% off on your first order.

Inez Stepman of the Independent Women's Forum and host of the "High Noon" podcast is in for Jim.  First, they react to Dr. Jonathan Haidt's latest writings and research confirming the devastating impact that 24/7 exposure to screens, the internet, and social media have had on Gen Z. The finding are terrible but knowing the facts is very helpful. So what are the lessons should take away from what we've learned over the past 17 years since the iPhone came out and just how much damage has been done to the young people who served as guinea pigs for this massive shift in technology. Next, they react to Wisconsin Rep. Mike Gallagher not only deciding not to run for re-election but to resign from Congress next month. Not only that, it appears he is postponing his resignation just long enough to prevent a special election to fill his seat, so it will stay vacant until November. Colorado's Ken Buck did the same thing earlier this month. Greg wonders why these two GOP members are selfishly leaving their constituents high and dry (as did Kevin McCarthy late last year) instead of honoring their commitments. However, Inez says the Republicans brought this dysfunction upon themselves by constantly ignoring their base, which now has a louder voice with such a slim House majority in place. Finally, they groan as Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who accused Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault during high school without one stitch of evidence is now back with a book allegedly telling her story. Greg and Inez blast what appears to be the left's political long game in convincing the public over time that Blasey Ford really was a victim. And Inez highlights that on many college campuses, men are still often treated far worse than Kavanaugh. Please visit our great sponsors: 4Patriothttps://4Patriots.com/martiniStay connected with the Patriot Power Solar Generator 2000X on sale now.   Factor Mealshttps://factormeals.com/3ML50Get after your goals with Factor Meals.  Use code 3ML50 to save 50% today! Fast Growing Treeshttps://fastgrowingtrees.com/martiniUse code Martini to save an additional 15% off on your first order.

On today's episode of Loud & Clear, Brian Becker and Walter Smolarek and Nicole Roussell (sitting in for John Kiriakou) are joined by Peter Kuznick, a professor and director of the Nuclear Studies Institute at American University, and co-author with Oliver Stone of the book and the hit television series “The Untold History of the United States.” Donald Trump used his speech at the United Nations to lay out an aggressive agenda targeting U.S. rivals and declaring his blanket opposition to multilateralism and so-called “globalism”. While some of Trump’s remarks were met with laughter by the assembled diplomats, what does his speech reveal about his administration’s approach to securing U.S. hegemony around the world? Wednesday’s regular segment, Beyond Nuclear, is about nuclear issues, including weapons, energy, waste, and the future of nuclear technology in the United States. Kevin Kamps, the Radioactive Waste Watchdog at the organization Beyond Nuclear, joins the show. Speaking at the UN Security Council today, Donald Trump accused China of interfering in the midterm election on behalf of opponents of his administration. This is just the latest in a series of anti-China moves and statements coming from the administration. Brian speaks with David Ewing, the chair of the San Francisco chapter of the US-China People’s Friendship Association. Julie Swetnick is the third person to come forward with allegations of serious sexual harassment, assault, or violence by Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and others he associated with. Dr. Christine Blasey Ford is slated to testify tomorrow about the sexual assault she suffered from Kavanaugh. This testimony is scheduled despite no investigation yet as requested by Dr. Blasey. Hannah Dickinson, associate professor at Hobart and William Smith Colleges and member of the Geneva Women’s Assembly, joins the show. Iran and the EU have come up with a payment system to work around the US’s sanctions against Iran and anyone doing business with Iran. This is yet another fracture of the EU and US’s relationship. Meanwhile, National Security Adviser John Bolton said in a speech that there would be hell to pay if Iran harmed the US. Medea Benjamin, an anti-war and anti-torture activist who is the co-founder of Code Pink, and whose most recent book is “Inside Iran: The Real History and Politics of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”, joins Brian. The US has imposed new sanctions on several high-ranking officials in Venezuela, including Congresswoman Cilia Flores who also is the wife of President Maduro. The New York Times also published an op-ed today called “Time for a Coup?” about overthrowing President Maduro. Chuck Kaufman, the National Co-Coordinator of the Alliance for Global Justice, joins the show.Mexico’s military arrested two police commanders for murder and the highway police chief for carrying unlicensed weapons in Acapulco. The entire police force has been disarmed and is now being investigated. Brian and John speak with Tom Hansen, the international education director of the Mexico Solidarity Network.

The facts underlying Christine Blasey Ford’s claim of being sexually assaulted by a young Brett Kavanaugh will continue to be revealed as confirmation proceedings unfold. Yet it’s impossible to miss the parallels between the Kavanaugh confirmation hearing of 2018 and the 1991 confirmation hearing for Justice Clarence Thomas. To do better, the 2018 Senate Judiciary Committee must demonstrate a clear understanding that sexual violence is a social reality to which elected representatives must respond. A fair, neutral and well-thought-out course is the only way to approach Dr. Blasey and Judge Kavanaugh’s forthcoming testimony. The details of what that process would look like should be guided by experts who have devoted their careers to understanding sexual violence. The job of the Senate Judiciary Committee is to serve as fact-finders, to better serve the American public, and the weight of the government should not be used to destroy the lives of witnesses who are called to testify.Anita Hill

However Max cannot spend too much time on this topic as he has of course to jump quickly into Brett Kavanaugh's nomination for the Supreme Court and how the GOP cannot seem to stop tripping over their own feet. Not least of which is the irony that Grassley, who is head of the Judiciary Committee, has to accept the resignation of one his own team for, guess what, sexual harassment charges. Next Max has to move on to the incredibly bizarre topic of Edward Whelam who is head of a conservative group that includes what turns out to be the ultimate in ironic words, “ethics,” and how he made up a complete story via Twitter to prove that Kavanaugh couldn't not possibly have done anything wrong. Not only did he do this, he even named a potential candidate for the perp. Finally realizing he may have stepped over a line in slander he tried to walk the Tweets back. Max hopes this individual sues the living daylights out of him. The GOP is slowly losing its mind. Max then delves into the absolute deviousness of the left in how Ford is accusing Kavanugh, clearly this has taken decades of work on behalf of the Soros left.

Max hits midweek with of course a take on the Kavanaugh nomination for the Supreme Court. You would think that if the GOP believed in Kavanaugh they would allow for an open forum into his actions or not as the case may be. But as the GOP has not released all his documents, nor wants to call more than the “he said she said” witnesses, it does make you wonder what it is they're trying to hide. Plus you would think that Kavanaugh would want to be cleared even if it delays his sitting on the Supreme Court, and that he would want his friend Mark Judge to testify, not that this has stopped the GOP from trying to rush the inauguration of Kavanaugh through.  And let's not forget that Dr. Ford has options even if she does not appear for the hearing on Monday. Then Max has to go back to poor old Jeff Sessions and yet more slings and arrows thrown at him by Donald Trump, why does he even stay? Max doesn't even have time to get to how the GOP has blown up the deficit and Trump doesn't even get his wall.

Matt and Tony jump into these allegations and discuss both sides of the story. Highlights: [08:15] – Kavanaugh’s nomination was going smoothly; he was headed toward the end zone. [10:30] – Allegedly, Kavanaugh and Blasey were at a party in high school. Kavanaugh and a friend of his took Blasey into a room. The three began romping around on the bed. Kavanaugh put his hand over Blasey’s mouth as if he was going to do something terrible to her. [12:30] – Are the Democrats using this to unravel Kavanugh’s run? [15:04] – The amount of time that has passed since this alleged assault is not working in the Dem’s favor. [21:35] – Kavanaugh’s friends testimony. [22:40] – In 2012 Blasey did mention the incident to her therapist. [27:40] – Blasey wears a pussy hat to a rally. The Takeaway – Congress has no moral ground to stand on. Donald Trump's Supreme Court pick, Judge Brett Kavanaugh, has been accused of attempted rape by Professor Blasey Ford in an incident that Prof Blasey says took place when Kavanaugh was 17 years old. Republicans have proposed a public hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday, Sept 24 to hear both from Kavanaugh and Prof. Blasey. Not so fast, says Prof Blasey. There needs to be an investigation by an independent body such as the FBI of the incident and charges before a hearing takes place. But as of now, Republicans are saying if Prof Blasey, who has had to go underground due to threats against her, does not turn up on Monday, they will move ahead with the appointment of Kavanaugh. Are the Republicans banking on getting their guy into the SCOTUS even if how they go about it could guarantee losing in the upcoming Congressional elections?
