Amberleah White has suffered from depression and mental disorders as far back as she could remember into her early childhood. While she and her loved ones had done what they could to help her fight against her treatment-resistant major depressive disorder, it wasn’t until she confided in her husband Jason about her suicide plan that a more intense treatment option was considered. Amberleah started on a treatment series known as Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), which through controlled induced seizures helped pull her out of her darkest depression to the relief of her husband and twelve children. She joins the Relentlessly Resilient podcast today to discuss her story, and the process and side effects of ECT in the hopes that her story will help others understand if Electroconvulsive Therapy is the right treatment to help them. Even though we live in challenging times we can become Relentlessly Resilient as we lean on and learn from one another’s experiences. Hosts Jennie Taylor and Michelle Scharf are no strangers to overcoming adversity; Michelle lost her husband to cancer, while Jennie’s husband Major Brent Taylor was killed in the service of our country. Their stories bond them together and now listeners can join them weekly as they visit with others enduring challenges and who teach us how they are exercising resiliency, finding value in their grief, and purpose in moving forward. Listen to the Relentlessly Resilient Podcast regularly on your favorite platform, at kslpodcasts.com, kslnewsradio.com, or on the KSL App. Join the Resiliences conversation on Facebook at @RelentlesslyResilient and Instagram @RelentlesslyResilientPodcast. Unc celebrates his first paycheck in years, his 10 month chip and the 1 year anniversary since his last brutal overdose; telling the entire tale in full and what it feels like to be at his "rock bottom" at the time. Getting punched in the face to be brought back to life, getting staff infections on his face, letting down loved ones and compulsively lying in attempts to keep his past heroin train on the tracks. Scruffy Jones also rejoins us to tell his meth induced psychosis, decapitated talking head hallucination story and the two reminisce their drug court memories as well as talk about where their lives are at now. This is a dark depressing episode at times but it also is a detailed glimpse into the misery one faces when struggling to keep a run going as long as possible.

Too many times in life, we as people tend to deny that we have a problem, and the longer we live this way, we are unable to defy the odds that man has placed on us.If you are ready to dive into this conversation, then hit that play button. Max does yet one more show without Ginger McCaffrey and gets into details on a topic dear to his heart, the state of prescription drug prices in the United States, USMCA, and his old nemesis the Wall Street Journal.
Max gets to the weekend by revisiting the cost of tariffs on an average American family, but then saves time to wonder what on earth the Democrats are up to when it comes to Medicaid for all, and whether or not Trump can make a difference in the price of prescription drugs. Not for the first time, Max hopes Trump can actually deliver on something like this and if the Democrats can get their act together. Finally Max discusses the 4th of July.
Max does the first show of the week with a focus on something he had never heard of called Bluetooth Beacons, which he finds even more intrusive than even Google or Facebook, and that's bad enough, but now it seems these Bluetooth Beacons can track you within an inch or two when you're shopping. Max quickly jumps to Trump suggesting he should stay more than two terms, possibly, maybe, as that is what his supporters want. Eventually Max gets to the meat of the show, and that is the horrendous situation in the United States regarding the cost of prescription drug prices, in particular insulin.

Eventually Max gets to the meat of the show, and that is the horrendous situation in the United States regarding the cost of prescription drug prices, in particular insulin.
Max, Ginger and Mike decide yet again to try to solve the United States healthcare problem where we spend 20% of our GDP on healthcare, yet have worse results compared to other major economies. Needless to say, they fail misserably in providing an easy solution, although they do find time to point out the hypocrisy of Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham, and Ginger points out how many people have gone bankrupt in other countries compare to the United States. Somehow in all this Max also gets his digs into Trump and how his policies are making farmers worse off.
Bob Edwards discusses a new, nationwide AARP campaign to lower drug costs. And Frank Abagnale, co-host of AARP's The Perfect Scam podcast, discusses how to protect yourself from online scams.
Max finally gets his delayed show out the door after one of the Windows 10 machines in the Max Miller Studio goes AWOL. So 24 hours late, Max is able to produce his next show, just in time it seems to focus on yet again the cost of prescription drugs in the US, and the exposure of Jeff Bezos, which actually Max supports. (All puns intended). The costs of prescription drugs drew Max's biggest mail bag so far this year, and he spends more time explaining how even Trump supporters now know they are being ripped off.
Max makes it to State of the Union Day by wondering how drunk he will be by the time he and his Long Suffering Producer Dan sit down to watch the proceedings. Max starts by explaining how someone hurt his feeling by swearing at him through email, multiple times, but Max starts first by focusing on what he calls the “damn scooter menace.” Next Max jumps to Trumps inauguration committee which is now being investigated, and that was just for a large party. But Max does spend most of his time on the cost of prescription drugs in the US verses other western countries in particular insulin, but now the drug companies have someone else to blame. The middleman. So now the prescription drug industry is fighting among itself yet the ones who will suffer with higher costs are the Average Working American. Lastly Max has to reexamine the potential political run of Howard Schultz.
