"There was an emerging camp that Mal ran, and I was lucky enough to be a part of it with players such as Cam Smith, Cooper Cronk, Greg Inglis just to name a few. These guys weren't big names at that stage, I never thought I'd play Origin until an injury to Inglis gave me my dream debut".Adam Mogg wasn't the flashiest player, he wasn't the player with the most talent but something Adam possessed was a strong work ethic. Working hard his whole career, Adam debuted later in life before becoming a staple in this Canberra Raiders outfit of the late 2000s.Mogg would go on to play for QLD, head over to the SuperLeague and finished coaching in the Q Cup.Hear all of this and much more in this special guest interview.

We're nearly there! Both Wests Tigers Podcast episode 300 and the kick-off to the Wests Tigers season are imminent. But, on the edge of these two milestones, we have a lot to discuss on this edition of the pod, including...and this seems a bit of a shock and certainly a first on this pod, Greg Inglis! Out of the blue, Inglis is seen at Wests Tigers headquarters in Wests Tigers colours. We now know that the former South Sydney star has taken up a mentoring and support role with our young fullback, Jahream Bula. Eddie Otto, Steve Stretton, and Garry Watson discuss the influence that Inglis might have on Bula and the club in general. The boys also take a look at the recent interview Benji Marshall did with journalist Brent Read. There were some interesting comments in there by the head coach, including the prospect of rookie Lachlan Galvin being a genuine chance of selection. This was followed up by another article by The Mole that said Galvin, who was dubbed "the next Nathan Cleary" in the article, was looking likely to take the number 6 Wests Tigers jersey in Round Two. There was speculation in that story that Jayden (Bud) Sullivan and Latu Fainu were in doubt due to injuries. Garry has an update on all of that. New recruit Justin Olam also comes up on the agenda with concerns the former Storm centre might have some injury issues himself. And then the boys put the Wests Tigers 2024 backs and halves under the microscope to see how we're shaping up and what our all-important depth looks like. Don't forget to join us on the Wests Tigers Podcast Forum to discuss everything Wests Tigers and stay tuned for details on how you can join us on a road trip to watch the Wests Tigers in action in Bathurst!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Our first ever dual code international has jumped on What a Lad in the form of one of the greats Matt Duffie! Matt who started off as a teenager with the Melbourne Storm playing with the big 4 Greg Inglis, Cam Smith, Cooper Cronk and Billy Slater! He then had the chance to represent the Kiwis before being hammered by injuries which eventually saw him switch codes. After a rough start in Super Rugby with the Blues and spending a lot of the season playing club. He worked hard, he learnt the game, he found his form, and went on to be one of the best outside backs in the country, which saw him named as an All Black. The Matt Duffie story like so many guys careers, is full of highs and lows but something he wouldn't change at all, shaping him into the lad he is today! In this episode we are celebrating Indigenous Sport Month. An amazing initiative aimed at highlighting and celebrating Indigenous Australian participation and excellence in sport. Greg Inglis burst onto the scene with the Melbourne Storm as a skinny, lightning fast kid from Kempsey in 2005 but emerged from the NRL a rugby league great. But away from the footy field and all the accolades, it is the way G.I has conducted himself through trials and tribulations that has made him a true hero. Paving the way for younger generations of league fans to help realise their dreams, through his success, finding hope and light after enduring some dark times. We acknowledge the Gadigal of the Eora Nation, the traditional custodians of this land on which this podcast was made and pay my respects to the Elders both past, present and emerging.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
