Join us tonight as we dive into the latest college football drama with the University of Marshall's football team entering the transfer portal!
While Brandon is down at FIU covering the Florida State High School Football Playoffs, we are joined by Cam Underwood from State of The U. The boys start by discussing whether this Miami Hurricanes' season that ended at 10-2 is a success or not. Cam throws the "F word" out there, as in failure. We give all the kudos to Cam Ward who made it to New York as a Heisman Finalist and set every record in the Miami record books. He's clearly the best quarterback the Canes have had in 35 years, and may be the best ever. The Transfer Portal is open and we talk about what the Canes need. Do they need a quarterback and who could that be? In segment two, we preview the College Football Playoff and talk about the games we are looking forward to. We end the show by discussing Bill Belichick bringing his talents to College Football. Will this be a success?
The ASU Sun Devils are Big 12 Champions and earned a first round bye as the 4th seed in the College Football Playoff. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/bigskysportstalk/support

I aint dream of winning the Heisman, I dreamed of being #1.” Travis Hunter Fresh off his Heisman nomination, Travis Hunter is sitting with Ryan, Channing and Fred opening up in a way you haven't heard before, touching on both personal and professional aspects of his life as he tries to navigate his fame, future, football and family life as everything seems to be falling into a place for the college football standout and this year's top NFL draft prospect. Travis Hunter, a young phenom taking the sports world by storm, says he is unlike any football player we've seen before, and it's hard to argue against him right now. Hunter's ability to play two positions at both wide receiver and cornerback has been under the microscope every step of his journey and Channing adds more fuel to the fire when he proposes a potential debacle that Travis may see himself in next year if he is forced to choose one side of the ball. Travis has dealt with the pressure that his ability brings on, the questions it raises and has leaned on those who have always been close to him to get him through all the challenges but in reality, there is no reason for Travis to answer critics because his on field play and talent speak for itself. A large part of Travis' success stems from the relationships he has forged and the people who continue to support him, especially his fiancee Leanna. Off the top, Travis takes time to clear the air about a video from after his final Colorado home game that went viral, explaining the depth of his relationship with Leanna and what the two have gone through from the start. But the relationship he credits to his life forever changing is the one he has with his coach, Deion Sanders, as Travis reflects on his journey to greatness - from when he first met Coach Prime in high school, to committing to Jackson State to transferring to Colorado to now becoming a Heisman hopeful and the front runner for the top NFL top draft spot. From that bond with Deion, a brotherhood between Travis and Deion's son, Shedeur Sanders, was born and since has brought the best out of each of the young athletes. Travis shares how Shedeur and himself have been able to put their pride aside when they compete and gives insight on what it's like to have two dogs go at it together and how grateful he is to both Shedeur and Shilo for allowing him to be so close to their father on this journey too. Travis, along with the Sanders', has transformed college football from their impact with HBCU's to elevating Colorado's popularity to proving it's ok to go against the grain to chase dreams and shake up the norm! On the field, Travis is rewriting the standard, excelling as both a wide receiver and cornerback. With 14 touchdowns and four interceptions this season, he's proving that he's built to dominate on both sides of the ball. Determined to make history as a two-way player in the NFL, His confidence, paired with the unique bond he shares with Coach Prime, has landed him as one of the rare non-Quarterback Heisman finalists in the award's history. But what does winning the Heisman mean to Travis? More than just a trophy, it's a milestone he wants to dedicate to his family, He said there will be some tears but just proof that the hard work and sacrifices are worth it as this is one step closer to Travis' true dream...to be drafted Number One overall in this year's NFL Draft. Don't miss this layered but conversation filled with laughs, humility and big dreams as Travis Hunter shares a side of him the world hasn't seen yet while on the verge making history. Today on the Logan Blackman Show we recap Iowa's impressive 42-10 victory against Wisconsin, keeping the Heartland Trophy in Iowa City for yet another year. Within that game we compare how the offense has looked with Brenden Sullivan vs Cade McNamara while also going over Kaleb Johnson's continued dominance, scoring three more touchdowns in the win. With that we discuss who has a real shot at taking home the Heisman Trophy as well as taking part in a quiz where we try and name each of the finalists from the past 20-Heisman Trophy ceremonies (2004-2023). After looking at how both Iowa State and UNI did we switch gears and move over to the NFL where we recap the Bills 30-27 win against the Miami Dolphins, with kicker Tyler Bass drilling a 61-yard field goal for the win. We also take some time to discuss how some of the younger quarterbacks are doing, namely Anthony Richardson and Drake Maye, before finally going over each and every game from this past weekend. Enjoy!

Welcome back to the show! Bit of a different type of college football episode this week but still absolutely jam packed. I spend a brief time recapping the on field action to get you all caught up but this is mostly off-field discussions today. Between Stetson Bennett somehow stumbling his way into being a Heisman finalist and the wild coaching moves that have led into even wilder numbers of player moves, there's plenty to talk about without even thinking about a football stadium. It's a good one so I hope y'all enjoy! If you do, you know the deal, share with a friend, subscribe, rate 5 stars. Just help me grow this thing and I'll love you. On this Tuesday episode of Buckeye Talk Rants, Doug Lesmerises is covering four main topics off the top and then running through rants from text subscribers. First, (1:32) Jaxon Smith-Njigba's Ohio State career is officially over as the star receiver will not recover from his hamstring injury to be able to play in the Buckeyes' playoff semifinal against Georgia. Then (17:20), offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson is leaving to be the new head coach at Tulsa. What does that mean for the OSU coaching staff? Then (25:39), C.J. Stroud is one of four Heisman Trophy finalists. What did Doug think about during his voting process? Finally (45:10), hundreds of players went into the transfer portal on Monday. Could any of them interest the Buckeyes? With those topics done, Doug went through several rapid fire rants from fans, first with complaints about the pod (51:33), then about football (55:00). The last section (1:14:04) is fans sharing thoughts on the best way to emotionally handle a playoff spot after a Michigan loss. Thanks for listening to Buckeye Talk. After every week of action, we will get you caught up on all the conference's games and look ahead at the matchups, storylines, and players that you should be paying attention to in the next week. My name is Jordan Williams, and I am joined by my co-host Dante Morgan. In this episode Dante and Jordan get a jump start on the off-season conversation. What are the initial thoughts from the season? This season had to most parity we've seen in a long time, our pre-season picks were way wrong, and how much did super seniors affect the results. Ohio State and Penn State both make flashy defensive coordinator hires with Jim Knowles from Oklahoma State and Manny Diaz from Miami respectively. The boys get to live react to Quinn Ewers transferring to Texas and try to figure out where Adrian Martinez and Michael Penix Jr. play next season. Also, we send a major congrats to Aidan Hutchinson and C.J. Stroud for being Heisman Finalist. TSC News editor Fred Richani rejoices as the Philadelphia Eagles select Oklahoma Sooners quarterback Jalen Hurts in Round 2 of NFL Draft 2020 after being snubbed in the first round. While the Heisman Finalist looks to be a great addition for any team, Philly appeared to be one of the unlikelier destination since the Eagles have QB Carson Wentz cemented as their starter. For now, Hurts will likely be used as a backup QB and hybrid player as the other teams who passed on him may wonder what could've been. For the latest TSC videos: YouTube.com/TheSportsCourier.
