In this episode of the Ageless Future Podcast, orthopedic surgeon and regenerative medicine specialist Dr. Marc Pietropaoli shares his journey from traditional orthopedic surgery to a more restorative approach focused on preserving joints whenever possible. He discusses how personal experiences and decades of clinical practice inspired his “Repair, Not Replace” philosophy, emphasizing minimally invasive care, personalized treatment plans, rehabilitation, and lifestyle support. The conversation explores the growing interest in regenerative medicine, advancements in sports injury recovery, and the importance of patient education, long-term data tracking, and prevention-focused care. Dr. Pietropaoli also outlines his broader vision for the future of orthopedic treatment and how emerging technologies may reshape musculoskeletal health in the years ahead.Dr. Marc Pietropaoli is an orthopedic surgeon, regenerative medicine specialist, international speaker, and #1 Amazon Best Selling Author of Repair NOT Replace™. He is the Founder and CEO of Victory In Motion, Home of Knee Repair, NOT Knee Replacement®, where he has spent decades challenging the traditional “replace it” model of orthopedic care. After completing his fellowship with Dr. James Andrews, one of the most respected sports medicine surgeons in the world, Dr. Pietropaoli began questioning why damaged joints were routinely replaced rather than repaired. That question became his life's work.Today, he leads a non-insurance-based, outcomes-driven practice focused on identifying the true root cause of joint pain through a comprehensive diagnostic process. His approach integrates bone marrow aspirate cells, PRP, laser therapy, genetic-based nutrition, and V-Motion Fit, a personalized total body fitness, strength and conditioning program.Dr. Pietropaoli is on a mission to eliminate the need for knee replacements by 2043, challenging both patients and the medical community to rethink what is possible when it comes to joint health, performance, and longevity.RESOURCES:Book Comprehensive Labs: https://agelessfuture.com/longevity-labs/FREE copy of The Peptide Blueprint: https://agelessfuture.com/blueprintSign up for future Health Accelerator Challenges calls LIVE! https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_YZsiUMOzSyqcE8IinC5YEQ#/registrationBooks: https://www.amazon.com/Books-Regan-Archibald/s?rh=n%3A283155%2Cp_27%3ARegan%2BArchibaldArticles: https://medium.com/search?q=Regan+ArchibaldLIKE/FOLLOW/SUBSCRIBE:YouTube -https://www.youtube.com/@ReganArchibald / https://www.youtube.com/@Ageless.FutureLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/regan-archibald-ab70b813Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ageless.future/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/AgelessFutureHealth/DISCLAIMER: This video is for educational purposes only and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.  Many of the molecules discussed in this video are research compounds and are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for any specific medical use, indication, or condition. Real Forno Show: Breaking Down the Vikings' Caleb Banks Pick and a Day Two Mock Draft — Tyler Forness and Producer Dave discuss the Minnesota Vikings' first-round selection of Caleb Banks, noting split fan reactions, Banks' lower consensus ranking (37th) largely due to foot injury concerns, and why the team viewed him as a high-upside “home run swing” and best player available. Forness cites reporting that teams in the 20s also wanted Banks, argues a trade down risked losing a “unicorn” defensive lineman, and emphasizes medical optimism from Dr. James Andrews' office and other doctors, while acknowledging the pick could be criticized if the injury recurs. They compare Banks' potential role to Richard Seymour and discuss fit in Brian Flores' defense. But what if we've been too quick to dismiss it?In this feature-length episode of Into the Fog, I strip away the Hollywood dramatics and the exaggerations from Jay Anson's book. Instead, he focuses solely on the eyewitness testimony from the Lutz family and those directly involved: George, Kathy, their children, Father Ray, and close friends who experienced the house firsthand. You may well hear details of the case you've never heard before. When you listen to what these people actually said (not the screenwriters or the tabloids) the picture looks different. The story of Amityville becomes less about a “hoax” and more about a genuinely unsettling haunting that spiralled out of control once the media circus began.Join me as we grapple with the raw testimony at the heart of America's most infamous haunted house and explore Amityville at 50: What if it was REAL after all?And do watch until the end, for some important thoughts on how we should deal with paranormal cases in general. #AmityvilleHorror #IntoTheFog #Paranormal #HauntedHouse #TrueCrime #GeorgeLutz #KathyLutz #DeFeoMurdersHUGE THANKS to all the volunteers who provided the brilliant voicework for this episode:James Andrews as Michael RiceRebekah Humphrey-Bullen as Danae Brook Paul Bullen as Reverend Christopher Neil-Smith Joshua Cerullo as Chris Gugas (Joshua can be contacted at Cerullovoice@gmail.com) Diandre Ruppert as Kathy LutzTony Saade Jr. as George Lutz and Ronnie DeFeoFor more on Peter Laws check out:www.patreon.com/peterlawsor www.peterlaws.co.uk

Despite showing up at HALLOWEEN HAVOC, we have to wait another few weeks until RODDY PIPER arrives on NITRO. He will make an impact soon. For now, we have two nights of Nitro that are actually jam-packed with wrestling. We also get the reality of ever watching STING in the rafters. His face paint has evolved into something a bit more familiar. Stop me if this sounds familiar to you: we have a tournament starting to crown a Women's Championship. Further emphasis on Tony Khan's influence from the playbook of WCW Nitro. DEAN MALENKO defends his newly won CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP.... against SCOTTY RIGGS? In the 2nd episode of NITRO, we get another FACE OF FEAR main event. As we know, the WORLD WAR 3 concept is a three-ring, 60-man battle royal similar to the Royal Rumble but done in a chaotic fashion. Let's see how WCW approaches this build in an attempt to construct a viable opponent for HULK HOGAN. REY MYSTERIO has an encounter with CICLOPE it is cool to see him on our screens. We see RIC FLAIR with Dr. James Andrews which can only mean one thing, SURGERY. As per usual, we do some diving into MeltzerMania's newsletter as it happened in real-time to bring in CONTEXT and help us travel completely back to 1996 to get an idea of what this event meant to WCW's drive to overtake WWF in the MONDAY NIGHT WARS. If the expression 'chicks dig the long ball' is still true as it was in the 1990s when Greg Maddux and Tom Glavine did a TV spot about the baseball's obsession with home runs, today's pitchers love to light up the radar with triple digits or at least get as close to that as they can. Pitching labs are the newest tool to get the most out of a pitcher's repertoire.  But is all this efficiency helping pitchers stay healthy?  Why are more pitchers getting TJ surgery than they used to?  Dr. James Andrews noted that before he retired his patient population had flipped from professionals and college players to youth baseball players not even 16 years old sometimes! What can be done? We talk about how things got to where they are and a few ideas on how MLB and baseball in general can pull away from the new generation of throw harder and harder pitchers.  Watch this episode on YouTube: https://youtu.be/0Vl2KGZhB60Intro & Outro music this season courtesy of Mercury Maid! Shohei Ohtani. Bryce Harper. Kerry Wood. Jose Canseco. Chris Sale. What do they have in common? They're all Major League Baseball players, and they all (in addition to over 1,000 other MLB players) underwent Tommy John ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) surgery. Until the last 10 years or so, orthopedic surgeons performed Tommy John/UCL reconstruction surgery almost exclusively on professional baseball pitchers. However, with increased specialization of younger athletes, and increased demands on young athletes' throwing arms, the rate of UCL elbow injuries has skyrocketed. Young athletes aged 17-22 are the most common group receiving this surgery. Why?? Is blowing out your UCL "inevitable" in an overhead athlete? What factors come into play that increase risk of UCL tears? Can we prevent these injuries? How?? Thankfully we have brought our friend and colleague, and baseball injury specialist, Nikhil Verma, MD, to tease out everything "Tommy John"! Dr. Verma is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, specializing in sports medicine, and has worked at Midwest Orthopaedics at RUSH since 2004. He is currently the head team physician for the Chicago White Sox (since 2017, taking over for one of our former guests, Dr. Chuck Bush Joseph), and is the director of the Sports Medicine division and is Program Director for the sports medicine surgical fellowship at RUSH.  He has robust research and academic presence, with tons of publications under his belt, and he is an associate editor for the Arthroscopy Journal, and on the editorial board for the Journal of Knee Surgery. He is a member of numerous academic societies in orthopedics, sports medicine, and Major League Baseball.  He also has been elected by his peers to “Best Doctors in America” every year since 2007, which is quite fitting as he is a wonderful human being and beloved colleague :) He also recorded this episode with Your Doctor Friends while driving in his car on the way to the airport to fly out to Spring Training in Arizona to help out his beloved White Sox, now that's dedication! Resources for today's episode include: Dr. Verma's MOR website, his professional website, and his Instagram page! A 2016 article in The Orthopedic Journal of Sports Medicine (featuring Dr. Verma as a collaborating author) titled "Ulnar Collateral Ligament Reconstruction: The Rush Experience". This week's blogpost - https://bahnsen.co/3uQ2RnS Leverage is debt. Is leverage good or bad? Neither. As is applicable to most things, leverage can be prudent in some cases and it can be misused in others. Debt can allow us to enjoy something today, while we stretch the cost over a defined time period. Debt can also be the culprit behind many stories of financial ruin. Join us today as James Andrews unpacks the dos and don'ts and ins and outs of leverage. Links mentioned in this episode: http://thoughtsonmoney.com http://thebahnsengroup.com

The Art of Diplomacy in Leading Change - James Andrews

In this episode, we had the great honor of connecting with James Andrews, an 'Innovation Artist' and founder at Creator Mode Studios, whose career and journey have been so mindblowing it's hard to convey. Celebrated for elevating artists like Nas, Destiny's Child and The Fugees at Columbia Records in the early 90's, he now drives innovation at Creator Mode Studios and as an angel investor at Authenticated Ventures. But that doesn't begin to capture the myriad ways James is driving change. He explains how the art of diplomacy has helped him achieve his vision of change; creating a shared value in the diagram for the artists, the execs and the listeners. He talks about how he learned the skill of being able to flow "from Harvard to Harlem" or "from jersey to suit" to bring people along on the journey. Sprinkled in, he brings a healthy dose of curiosity and deep listening skills to supercharge his diplomacy skills. And while he really has "done it all", he also shares incredibly vulnerably and authentically about the areas of self-discovery he's still exploring along with the support structures he's cultivated around him to support him on his journey (like a black men's group or a daily gratitude practice). Join me for a summary looking at gingival recession in orthodontics, and whether it is detrimental or beneficial. This lecture was given by James Andrews, he explored the effect of orthodontics on the periodontium, an area under increasing interest within aesthetics to achieve the ideal ‘pink aesthetics' with the increasing adult population receiving orthodontic treatment. His lecture was based on, is orthodontics good or bad for the gingiva? What is the starting point ? Increase in adult orthodontics from 1970 by 800% 50% of adults have some element of periodontal disease Untreated adult population 51% dehiscence 37% areas of fenestration Evangelista 2010 Facial type and bone morphology Tunis 2021 Dolichocephalic = narrow alveolus and elongated to compensate for vertical growth Brachycephalic = larger alveolus Dolichocephalic - Red flag patients Tooth movement:  What happens when teeth move buccally? facial tooth movement Wennström 1996 Reduced bucco lingual width Therefore, reduced free gingiva Increased risk only if tooth is moved out of the alveolar housing What type of movement Tipping (uncontrolled) increase likelihood of recession Condo 2017 Proclination causes recession, but inconclusive  Thickness more relevant than final inclination Yared 2006 How to decide what to do? James goes on to talk about decision making and the importance of thinking beyond just the initial benefits or consequences.  Whether it is a rippling pond or a tipped over domino, we get this idea that one decision can set off a chain reaction of other intended or unintended outcomes.  Links mentioned in this episode: http://thoughtsonmoney.com http://thebahnsengroup.com
