I know you will receive so much joy from listening to this episode!   Guest Bio Tami Imlay is the founder and CEO of Tami Marie Coaching and Host of The Full Weight of Joy Podcast. I chat with Georgia Tech Outdoor Rec Cascading expert Hill Belfi. I had wondered why GA tech ordered so much canyoneering gear from Imlay. Hill reached out when she found out about the podcast to let me know about what they call Cascading. It sounds so fun I my have to talk my husband into going there. Hill Belfi is a 22 year old resident of Atlanta, Georgia and a senior at the Georgia Institute of Technology studying biomedical engineering. The name Hill is her mother's maiden name… the mountain sports are just coincidence! She grew up in Atlanta and spent her weekends as a kid solving scavenger hunts, playing soccer, reading every adventure story she could get her hands on, and in the Blue Ridge mountains kayaking, rock hopping, and hiking. Once at Georgia Tech, she signed on as student staff in the great sport of Cascading for Outdoor Recreation Georgia Tech (ORGT, pronounced O-R-G-T or or-git), a department of Georgia Tech's rec center that offers outdoor adventure trips in 9 different sports. She leads cascading trips for Georgia Tech all over the southeast, everything from teaching beginners to scouting new locations. Before COVID-19, she was interning with Johnson and Johnson's medical device division working to manufacture needles and sutures. When she's not rappelling waterfalls, you can find her working in a machine shop on campus, scouting out new taco places in Atlanta, playing guitar, or watching the Bachelorette with her roommates. Hill is an biomedical engineering student, a wilderness first responder, an avid houseplant parent, the president of one of the biggest college outdoor programs in the country, an enthusiastic member of the natural-anchors club, and a proud cascader – a canyoneer in a place without canyons. Have you ever heard of the Enneagram? If you are on a self-growth journey, this is the right episode for you. Do you want to understand yourself and your partner more deeply to improve your relationship? Maybe even your kids, friends, mom, or co-workers? The enneagram has helped me understand and empathize with all the people in my life in a way that I never did before. In this episode I interview Tami Imlay. Tami breaks down the Enneagram and explains in great detail how we can use it to improve our relationships with others, and ourselves. Reach out to Tami (contact info at the bottom of these show notes) with your questions about the Enneagram or if you are seeking the guidance of a life coach. Take-aways: Enneagram is a unique personality assessment that gives you incredible insight into why you do the things you do and why you fall into the same traps day after day. For anyone on a self growth journey, or for curiosity's sake, you need to do the Enneagram personality test. The Enneagram explains that the lens you see the world through is unique (based on your type). Your fears are what drive you, that give you the “lens”. Understanding how your fears and instincts “take over” can give you space between a stimulus and a response and help you decide consciously how you will respond with an awareness of how your fears and instincts can push you toward a pattern that is not healthy. In personal and professional relationships, understanding others' personalities can give you empathy, love and understanding of those people and their struggles. Tips to get accurate typing: Do the test in one sitting, from the perspective of your 20's. You will be one of the top 3 types that comes up. You need to read through the information about the top 3 types that come up to decide which one you are. It's best to work with a coach, like Tami, for the most accurate results and to implement positive changes in your life. Learning about your personality type's healthy path, stress path and blindspots can help monitor whether you are in a state of balance or whether you are becoming unhealthy. Journaling and reflecting with your new knowledge can help you track your progress. There is no bad personality number. It's important to appreciate the uniqueness of each type and try to see the value and strengths of individuals through your understanding of their enneagram type. What makes you different and unique, is also your strength. Green Stream Holdings Inc. (ticker symbol GSFI) an emerging leader in the solar utility and finance space, announces today what it believes to be a new era for Renewable Energy and its Solar Utilities/Financing model as stocks rise in advance of the inauguration of Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States.Biden's agenda is to transition the U.S. from an economy reliant on fossil fuels to one driven by wind, solar and other renewable-energy sources. The shift from fossil-fuel companies to renewable-energy firms accelerated during the Trump administration, despite the president's vows to support the U.S. coal and petroleum industries.Big and small investors have moved their assets away from fossil-fuel producers and toward renewable energy companies. Big investors like BlackRock Inc., the world's largest asset manager, overseeing $7.8 trillion, have said they plan to take into account corporations' disclosures of environmental risks, including carbon footprints.According to Wells Fargo senior market strategist Scott Wren, quote, “Since the start of the year, cyclicals have outperformed, with energy gaining the most, up 15%, helped by higher oil prices. Financials were up 5.1%, and materials were up 4.4%. All of these cyclicals stocks have moved in advance of what we think will be a higher rate move. Rates have moved up to support that idea. We think they could go up quite a bit more over the course of the next several months.” End quote. As well, The iShares Global Clean Energy ETF, which tracks S&P Global's index of clean energy companies around the world, has risen by nearly 30% since July 2020. The fund's assets under management swelled to $1.2 billion from $431 million at the start of the year.GSFI CEO Eric Fain is encouraged by the increased opportunity Biden's new agenda could mean for companies like Green Stream Holdings. Quote, "I believe we are at the dawn of a new era for renewable energy and, in turn, an increased access to market with ability to expedite shareholder value as we cultivate new opportunities alongside our current projects in New York, including:160 Imlay street. Brooklyn Ny8012 Tonelle Ave; North Bergen, NJ44 Victory Blvd; Staten Island, NY111 Station Road; Bellport, NY15-17 Sherwood Ave - Yonkers Proposal4290 Austin Blvd; Island Park, NYWe have recently moved our headquarters to a functional work/living space which belongs to our flagship project at 160 Imlay Street in Brooklyn, New York, where our utility/financing model can be seen in action as we continue to develop opportunities in the NE United States and beyond.” End quote.

As we continue our NeurIPS 2020 series, we’re joined by friend-of-the-show Charles Isbell, Dean, John P. Imlay, Jr. Chair, and professor at the Georgia Tech College of Computing. This year Charles gave an Invited Talk at this year’s conference, You Can’t Escape Hyperparameters and Latent Variables: Machine Learning as a Software Engineering Enterprise. In our conversation, we explore the success of the Georgia Tech Online Masters program in CS, which now has over 11k students enrolled, and the importance of making the education accessible to as many people as possible. We spend quite a bit speaking about the impact machine learning is beginning to have on the world, and how we should move from thinking of ourselves as compiler hackers, and begin to see the possibilities and opportunities that have been ignored. We also touch on the fallout from Timnit Gebru being “resignated” and the importance of having diverse voices and different perspectives “in the room,” and what the future holds for machine learning as a discipline. 3 septembre 1939. Caught in the fervor revolutionary change, these free thinkers believing in the goodness of humanity and reason rejected the need for authority, hierarchies, and tradition in preserving social cohesion and wellbeing. Rather, mutuality and open exchange were offered as a better foundation for society. At the intersection of public lives and private desire, they sought to extend their radical vision beyond politics and into their intimate lives through new a model of egalitarian and free relationships between men and women. Deconstructing marriage their writings reflected the protested against the constraints of conventional society. Cayton demonstrates how these radicals embodied a modern interpersonal ethic arising with the liberal free trade in goods and ideas in which the personal was political. How the sexes were to relate to each other changed forever. Differing gendered understanding of “social commerce,” between men and women, brought uneven consequences. Relationships founded on freedom, openness and devoid of binding ties beyond reasoned desire could also produce the fruits of a masculinist frame of mind – the tragedy of neglect, abuse, and abandonment experienced by women.
