Welcome to another episode of Category Visionaries — the show that explores GTM stories from tech's most innovative B2B founders. In today's episode, we're speaking with Jason Park, CEO & Co-Founder of Coldcart, a perishable e-commerce fulfillment platform that's raised $6.5 Million in funding. Here are the most interesting points from our conversation: Solving the Last Frontier of Perishable Shipping: Coldcart focuses on orchestrating and optimizing the delivery of frozen and refrigerated goods, solving the dual challenge of balancing cost and spoilage. Massive Market Opportunity: With 3 billion perishable parcels shipped in the U.S. last year, projected to reach 9 billion by 2032, Coldcart addresses a booming market with significant unmet needs. Significant Cost Reductions: By analyzing variables like temperature, shipping routes, and insulation in real time, Coldcart reduces shipping costs by 15%-50% and cuts late deliveries by 40%-60%. Customer Lifetime Value at Stake: Jason emphasized the high stakes of perishable shipping, as even one late or spoiled delivery can result in the loss of future customer orders, impacting customer lifetime value by 3 to 7 future orders. Impact Beyond D2C Food: Coldcart's platform spans various industries, including pharmaceuticals and industrials, with the perishable e-commerce market growing steadily by 18% each year, driven by generational and demographic shifts. Strategic Go-to-Market Patience: Jason revealed that Coldcart's most critical GTM decision was to initially limit growth and focus on perfecting the product, ensuring it was enterprise-grade before scaling rapidly. // Sponsors: Front Lines — We help B2B tech companies launch, manage, and grow podcasts that drive demand, awareness, and thought leadership. www.FrontLines.io The Global Talent Co. — We help tech startups find, vet, hire, pay, and retain amazing marketing talent that costs 50-70% less than the US & Europe. www.GlobalTalent.co

We live in a place and time when we are overrun with adversity. The news feeds of our lives are boiling over with bad news. Houses are burning down, gunmen are carrying out unimaginable evil acts, and even though we don't have the energy to talk about it anymore…there is a pandemic claiming the lives of our loved ones. And that is just the stuff we woke up to this morning. All these things are stealing our peace. It has us all standing around asking, “What do we DO?” Because we should be DOING something. What is the alternative? NOT DOING! Thinking about it, talking about it, and worrying about it does nothing about “it”. We are called to do something about it. Jesus spoke these powerful words after washing the disciples' feet, “Not that you know these things, you will be blessed if you DO them.” (Jn. 13:17). Time for some doing.

WEAPON OF CHOICE Paul did not say to, “put on the full armor of God” (Eph. 6), because you MAY get into a fight with a person or a thing that is familiar to you. He said, “This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels.” (Eph. 6:12 MSG). Once you are convinced of the seriousness of that fight, you will start to appreciate your weapon of choice, THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT/WORD OF GOD, and train with it. The enemy would prefer the Bible be diminished to an app on our phones mixed in with all the other apps, that are NOT life giving. The sword of the spirit is powerful, and just like a soldier trains with his sword, we need to train with the bible. It should be accessible and ready for action. What good is it if is stowed away collecting dust? It should be at the ready, “so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.” (Eph. 6:11)
A tactical retreat is moving to a safer location to prevent being overtaken by the enemy. This provides time to re-group and re-engage. The decision is not easy because retreating means giving up ground that is likely harder to get back. It is also difficult to admit you are losing or getting ready to lose. Men, all day long, are in dangerous situations and fail to recognize the danger and its capability. Maybe it's pride, temptation, fear, anger or pride…or pride, or whatever the enemy's weapon of choice against you. Regardless, you fail to recognize the danger or see how big the blast radius that explosion creates. We are in a battle that requires situational awareness to observe dangers around us and have a plan to fall back to a safer place where we can re-load, re-group and re-engage.

Jason Park's sermon on Romans 12:8 from November 14, 2021.
A police officer typically starts their shift with a briefing or roll call. It is designed to take roll, pass along critical information, and provide relevant training. Motivated officers hurry out of briefing and quickly advise dispatch they are "10-8", which is the radio code for "in service". The lazier officers hang around the station, trying to delay the time before going 10-8. You see, once you go 10-8, "in service", you have to serve. That can be very risky and a total inconvenience, especially when I only want to serve myself. Briefing is the place you talk about the doing. Going "in service" is where you DO! James 1:21-23 says briefing is for "hearing God's word". Going 10-8 is for doing God's word. Sure, we must show up for briefing and discuss God's word and application, but too many of us don't get to that critical next step. We don't DO. In that same passage in James says the one is listening and not doing, "has no idea who they are or what they look like" (Message translation). Lets stop talking about doing, and LET'S DO IT!
We live in a world where we are surrounded by people in need. Just about everyone you come in contact with today needs something. Some of those needs are obvious, but others we are AFRAID to ask. We are AFRAID to ask, "how can I help." I am sure I don't have what they need, and if I do, I don't want to give it away. So, I carefully manage my interactions. I protect myself from entering that space with people where I might intentionally or accidentally identity a need. I don't make eye contact and get in and out of the situation with the least time and energy wasted. Even better, I use an app. I click a few buttons, step carefully through the door, grab my coffee and quickly retreat. I could use curb-side services, but then I have to interact with a human. I don't need that kind of pressure. If I am careful, I won't see a need because I AM AFRAID.

Jason Park's sermon on Romans 9:19-21 from March 14, 2021.
The only guarantee with adversity is, it’s coming. You can’t schedule its arrival, but you will for sure know when it gets here. The seasons of adversity offer opportunities for spiritual growth and a realization that our God is Sovereign. God makes big asks of us in these moments. Our faithful decisiveness provides opportunity to fulfill God’s purpose.

Big victories are the result of a collection of small wins. BUT visualizing the prize at the end, gives me discipline in the moment. It gives me hope and that hope shapes my habits. These habits provide a road paved with confidence and direction filled with peace. The habit of Listening to God drowns out the noise of this world. When we listen to God and allow for what we hear to leak into our hearts, we experience VICTORY.
Jesus’ teachings are not recommendations for how we should “feel.” They are commands for how we should act. Where we prefer to act in compliance with how we feel, Jesus calls us to act in a way that is often in defiance of how we feel. What does that mean? If we plan to follow the commands of Jesus, we will do some things we do not feel like doing. Our gut (aka pride, selfishness, sinful nature, etc.) is going to tell us, “No, this doesn’t work for me.” Jesus is going to tell us…..” IT AIN’T ABOUT YOU! In Luke 6:27, Jesus says, “Love your enemies.” The word “enemy” elicits all kinds of feelings. Today more than ever, we need to be reminded; it is not about our feelings. It is about our doings.

A man's uniform is a physical representation of his identity. It symbolize’s his appointed position, helps regulate his level of accountability, and accelerates his authority. The same can be said about a man of God. By way of our appointment, we have a designated uniform that represents our identity. Our response to being chosen and appointed is to put on our uniform and take a stand. All of God's weapons are at our disposal, but all is worthless unless we put His uniform.
There was a time when we would meet someone, find something in common, and the conversation would ensue. Lately if feels like that dynamic has shifted into our society fixated on finding what we don’t have in common and live in that space. Sadly it feels as of late that message has been amplified beyond our control. Now days having an opinion can be terrifying for some to share and that can be where hate starts to enter one’s heart. In those moments we feel like we are taking a position in favor of an issue, when in reality, we’re favoring hate. In today’s study, NO ROOM FOR HATE, we navigate how to caution ourselves in those moments where our feelings are in conflict with our faith. Our feelings are telling us to react strongly about our opinion and our faith is telling us to react lovingly toward those people. Our feelings want us to think of ourselves first. Our faith wants us to remember the words of Jesus when he said In Mark 8:34, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way…”. More than ever do we need a reminder that when you sprinkle even the slightest bit of hate into the recipe, that’s exactly what you get.

Dr Jason Park is my current mentor/coach so I was extra excited to have him on the show. There are so many value bombs in this episodes, but here are a few over arching themes: 1) How we could improve so much faster in boxing by looking at it like learning a new language. 2) How cultivate the missing pieces to being a great coach, which are patience/empathy. 3) What it’s like to train pro level fighters in the UFC/MMA like Anderson Silva and what we learn from their training strategies.
Dr. Jason Park, of Cool Heart Performance and Spiderkick Muay Thai, joins John Hyon Ko of Kumite TV to discuss his journey from fighter to doctor/ Muay Thai trainer, joining Anderson Silva's team, a laundry list of elite fighters and more. ▶️Subscribe to Kumite TV https://www.youtube.com/c/KumiteTV ▶️Interviews https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLpBStxIAJ_qVhp1kQ-CJzpTa2HIJ32Qmj Follow John Hyon Ko on social media. ✅Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/JHKMMA/ ✅Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jhkmma/ ✅Twitter: https://twitter.com/JHKMMA

Dr. Jason Park is a Physical Therapist, Board-certified Sports Clinical Specialist and a Sports Performance consultant. I honestly hope that there is a "Dr. Jason Park" facility one day, because Jason is truly a multi-talented human. We got together and talked about his fight history, his "Muay Thai thesis" and more.
Dr. Jason Park is a one man MMA coaching staff. He's not only a coach to Anderson Silva, but he's also a doctor of physical therapy, a strength and conditioning coach, as well as the head of the US Muaythai Federation (USMF) medical team. And it's because of this breadth of knowledge that we were able to chat with him in studio for nearly two hours. What we ultimately wanted to do was to create an audio FAQ on everything you basically need to know about training for combat sports, and I think we delivered. Hope you enjoy the episode. You can find Jason on Instagram @drjasonpark as well as https://www.coolheartperformance.com And if you love the show, tell your friends. Spread the word. Tell them they're missing out. The theme for Part Four of Maximum Faith is "Going the Distance." Versus what? Coming short, giving up, or quitting in the middle because things got hard. Ultimate faith is always willing to pay the ultimate price. No man in history modeled this like Jesus Christ. When his feelings were pulling hard his faith pulled back harder and triumphed. In watching Jesus go the distance for us we see a real man with real reservations and concerns but facing them all with honesty, humility and the heart of a lion - fearless in God's purpose. On the other side of his maximum trust in the Father's commission and command is our salvation and transformation. That would never have happened if a man - in a moment - decided he would go the distance to his death because God asked him. Men filled with Christ Spirit will be willing to do the same and, on the other side of those decisions, are changed lives and God's glory.
Jason Park met a child predator, Revive was in town, Haloween is dumb, Scootering is my new sport, chicken sandwich was not hot, at least one person died.

So don’t think of it as some like, YO I’m just gonna have fun dance, think of it like, in order to earn that, then you should be working harder than any other person is at some 9-5 job, because the responsibility is just the same if not more.” — Jerrie Song INSTAGRAM: Jerrie Song: @jerrie8 This is such incredible older sibling advice. Right on the money. “To me the only things that, like, I can only talk about my personal experience. You know what I mean, to really go out there and say this is my advice, I can’t do that like, I can give an opinion, you know what I mean. Advice is a very very serious thing to offer anybody. Just like Mike said, you know what I mean, if you’re curious, ya know whatever it is you’re going for, GO FOR IT. If you go for it, Go for it FOR REAL in order to understand. To me if you’re going to ask me about college I can only draw from my experiences. If I didn’t go to college I wouldn’t have met Mike, If I wouldn’t have met Mike we wouldn’t have Kinjaz. If we didn’t have Kinjaz we wouldn’t be here. — Anthony Lee If you're ever wondering about finishing college or even attending college in the first place...find this section. “…just follow your curiosity…’cause I think if you are genuinely curious about something it will illicit the most genuine actions from you, you know what I’m saying, versus what other people think you should do or what the societal expecations are. But if you’re genuinely curious about something I think that’s the life experience right following like hey I’m so curious about this I need to find out more about this. — Mike Song “Choose curiosity over passion. — Addy Chan Song I thought that quote was interesting so I did exactly what Mike said to, I "Googled it." After a few links that led to results from different quotes I found this blog. https://existentialergonomics.com/2018/06/25/choosing-curiosity-over-passion/ I won't go into detail about it. I'll let you analyze your own consciousness about it. At around 1:08:00 we hear the conversation circle back to an interesting topic. What are your thoughts? "Dance is our Sport." Is dance a sport?
