The Unchanging Word is studying through the Gospel of John. We are in John chapter two 13-25. After showing His glory in Cana of Galilee of transforming the water into wine, and spending a short time in Capernaum, we next see Jesus in Jerusalem, some 100 miles south in Judea and He is in the temple. In our study today, Dr. Mitchell makes the observation that the Passover of the Lord had degenerated into a commercial holiday, the passover of the Jews. Jesus demonstrated his authority and power making a clean sweep of the His father's house driving out those who were selling animals for sacrifice, people making merchandise of the things of God. Jesus makes mention of His coming resurrection but His disciples did not understand His Words till after He was raised from the dead. Sometimes it takes time before we remember and believe God's Word doesn't it? So, let's turn in our Bible to John 2:13. Here is Dr. Mitchell. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/unchanging-word/message

If you are here during the time of these two prophets, you will see them shut up the rain, turn the waters to blood, and proclaim Jesus with power for three and one-half years. All who try to kill them are destroyed by fire that comes out of their mouths. After they witness in Jerusalem for the 3 1/2 years, the beast, or antichrist kills them and he leaves their bodies out for all in the world to see. The world rejoices, sending gifts to one another, but then after 3 1/2 days, great fear falls on the world when they hear God's voice call them up to Heaven as the breath of life comes into them and they are caught up to the Lord. This is a peak into the future as seen in Revelation chapter 11. This will happen because everything foretold in the scriptures come to pass. #TheWholeBible #GeorgeCrabb #Revelation11 --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/george-crabb7/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/george-crabb7/support

Julia Fisher talks to Dan Sered - Dan was born in Israel into a secular Jewish family. He later became a believer in Jesus and joined the missionary organisation Jews for Jesus. Their mandate is to relentlessly pursue God's plan for the salvation of the Jewish people – and as you can imagine, they are not always popular. Undaunted, Dan became the Director of Jews for Jesus based in Tel Aviv, Israel. Today he oversees the work of all the missionaries for Jews for Jesus around the world. He was in Jerusalem recently to open a new office there … this is a bold step – he told me why. Our aim is to build bridges... On this episode of Rightly Dividing, we are digging deep in chapter 5 of the gospel of Matthew, to see exactly how the Millennial Reign of King Jesus will be run and operated from a legal perspective. Here in the U.S., we have our vaunted Constitution of the United States of America, and it shows you the principles on which this nation was founded, and how we are to conduct ourselves. The coming Kingdom of Heaven also has such a document, and it's called the Holy Bible in general, and Matthew 5 in particular. Not only do every one of the beatitudes have their roots in Old Testament prophecies, the Sermon on the Mount is also the constitution of the coming Kingdom of Heaven. Tonight we will break it all down for you, as well as showing you the marked differences between the Kingdom of Heaven and the Kingdom of God. Many times pastors and preachers will go to Matthew 5 to preach a message on the Sermon on the Mount, also known as the Beatitudes, and try to "bring out the poetry" of the passages and make a devotional application on the Christian life. That's all well and good if you like fluff, but if you are craving meat, especially some tasty red meat, you'll have to dig a tad deeper than just scratching the surface. The Sermon on the Mount, doctrinally, is the constitution of the coming Kingdom of Heaven over which King Jesus will rule for a thousand years from Jerusalem.

In the First Sunday of Lent, we find Jesus outside of Jerusalem, as he weeps for the city. The Reverend Dr. Joanne McCune Wagner discusses how Jesus has compassion and pity for Jerusalem, and how we as Christians must uproot our own hostile impulses, instead of feeling gleeful at the expense of others.

Christmas is a time of year where many people celebrate, but none can agree on why they are celebrating. Some say it's about family, others say it's about giving, and still some say it's just another consumer holiday. While all of those things may occur around Christmas, at it's core, Christmas is about Jesus Christ, coming to live among us, as one of us, and to die in our place in order to redeem us. In Luke chapter two, we see four main events occur: 1. Jesus' Birth 2. Announcement to the Shepherds 3. Jesus Presented in the Temple 4. Jesus in Jerusalem
